The Lustful Villain: Every Milfs and Gilfs are Mine!-Chapter 102. I Expected a Terrifying Villain, but I Got a Cosplayer (Fraud Alert)
They walked up to the main entrance, which was protected by two huge demons that were at least fifteen feet tall and looked like walking fortresses. The guards nodded politely to the maids and let them in without a fight, but Rex could tell that they were watching him closely.
’All of them seem like they can feel my powerful presence with this form, but... it already confirms that I can live two different lives right now.’ Rex smirks.
The inside of the palace was even more impressive. Huge rooms with ceilings that looked like they went on forever.
The walls displayed artwork depicting battles, ceremonies, and events from demon history. Servants moved quickly through the house, doing their jobs with the kind of practiced coordination that showed it was a well-run home.
They climbed a grand staircase that twisted up through several levels, going past rooms set aside for different uses. There were training halls where demons honed their fighting skills.
Libraries are full of books bound in materials that Rex didn’t know. The dining halls were furnished with long tables. Staff and important guests found places to sleep.
At the end of their journey, they encountered a set of doors clearly designed to evoke fear. They were twice as tall as Rex and made of dark metal with intricate carvings.
They gave off an aura of power that suggested strong magical protections.
Sera moved forward and put her hand on the door. "Lord Mordecai, your servants have come back."
"We have a guest who claims to have important information and prisoners that demonstrate his ability to work alongside us."
There was a pause, and then a voice came from inside. It was a boy, surprisingly young-sounding, with a hint of curiosity.
"Come in."
Rex was caught off guard hearing that voice. ’This voice... there’s no fucking way that he’s even more of a fraud than I expected.’
’Are these reincarnators who got a second chance of living really just wasting their lives to act more like a loser...? What the fuck...’
The doors opened without a sound, showing the throne room beyond.
It was big, but not in a showy way. It was made to work, not just to scare people.
There were different demon sigils on the banners that lined the walls. The floor was made of polished stone that reflected the light from magical lights.
The throne itself was at the far end of the room, up on a dais.
Mordecai Vrael, the demon lord who had planned the attack on Aethelgard, was sitting on that throne like someone who was trying to act all tough.
Just by seeing it close with his eyes, Rex felt disappointed right away, and he already has a plan to just attack the fraud right away while calling it a day.
’What a major fucking disappointment... he looks like a quiet kid who’s trying to act all tough.’
Rex thought of him as an isekai character who possesses all the privileges, while his enemies are merely frauds.
Based on the title and reputation, he thought it would be something truly horrible, like a huge figure surrounded by flames and shadows, exuding both evil and power.
Something that would explain why people were so scared of him on the surface.
Instead, he saw a young-looking boy, probably in his early twenties, dressed like a demon lord in a way that could only be described as cosplay, which is a practice where people dress up in costumes to represent a specific character from movies, games, or books.
He wore black robes with red accents, a cape that seemed too dramatic, and a horned headpiece that looked like it could have come from a fantasy convention instead of being earned through conquest.
And the worst part was that he was short. He wasn’t particularly tall, but he certainly didn’t have the intimidating stature Rex had anticipated.
He was probably only five foot six, which made the huge throne he was sitting on look funny.
[MORDECAI VRAEL DETECTED]
[CLASSIFICATION: DEMON LORD - REINCARNATOR]
[POWER LEVEL: VERY HIGH]
[NOTE: APPEARANCE DECEPTIVE - POSSESSES SIGNIFICANT COMBAT CAPABILITY AND EXTENSIVE SUBORDINATE NETWORK]
’So he really was a reincarnator who had been blessed by one of the forbidden goddesses... Chaos sounded badass, even though the presentation was a fucking joke."
"But... he was really powerful, and for now I could put that aside and keep going with my evaluation for future plans."
There were maybe a dozen other demons around the throne room, and they were clearly Mordecai’s closest allies. Most of them were built and equipped for combat, but a few looked more like advisors or administrators.
A person standing right next to Mordecai caught Rex’s eye more than the demon lord himself.
She was a woman, tall and intimidating, with red skin and black hair that fell in waves past her shoulders. Her eyes were glowing with real fire, and the armor she wore was both useful and meant to make her look even more scary and sexy.
She gave off a powerful aura that made it clear right away that she was dangerous.
[CASSANDRA VEXMOOR DETECTED]
[CLASSIFICATION: DEMON QUEEN - NATIVE]
[ROLE: MORDECAI’S GENERAL AND RIGHT HAND]
[POWER LEVEL: EXTREME]
[THREAT ASSESSMENT: LETHAL IF ENGAGED]
’Phew... now that looks like a real threat other than that one fraud-looking ass.’
Sera said, "My lord," and bowed her head.
"We present prisoners we took during our retreat, along with the person who took them."
Mordecai’s eyes were fixed on Rex, and there was real intelligence in that look. He leaned forward a little and looked at the masked figure in front of him with clear interest.
Mordecai said, "So you’re the mysterious savior that Lilith has been talking about for the past twenty minutes through our telepathic link."
His voice was relaxed but not careless. "She seems very smitten, and... she says you killed an Apostle of Justice without breaking stride and then caught three more reincarnators to show as proof."
"That’s right," Rex said.
"Where’s the proof of it?" Cassandra said sharply, her voice harsh and suspicious. "Anyone can make claims, so show us those prisoners right now."
The three bound reincarnators were pushed forward, still gagged and clearly scared. Mordecai’s eyes got a little bigger when he realized what they were.
"T-t-three living reincarnators," he said softly. "That’s really impressive...!"
"Most people who meet reincarnators either die or kill them right away." Mordecai looks invested now. "Keeping them alive shows both great power and smart thinking."
Then his face got suspicious. "But you are wearing a mask, emerged seemingly from nowhere, and coincidentally appeared immediately after my attempt was thwarted..."
"For all I know, you’re an infiltrator sent by one of the surface apostles to get close to me, right?" Mordecai pointed at him. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t have Cassandra kill you right now and figure out who you are later."
Cassandra moved before Rex could say anything.
She was incredibly quick, crossing the space between the throne and Rex in less than a heartbeat. Her fist shot up and hit his mask, which was surrounded by flames that could probably melt steel.
But Rex’s Foresight had shown him this very thing.
His telekinesis reached out and stopped Cassandra’s fist just one inch from his mask. The flames went around the invisible wall without hurting it, and Cassandra’s eyes went wide with shock.
"Well, genius, it’s because," Rex said calmly, his voice full of confidence, "I’m a lot stronger than anyone else in this room, even you, Cassandra Vexmoor..."
"And I have an offer that your lord is going to want to hear."
The throne room was completely quiet. Every demon in the room was staring at the scene of Cassandra, the feared Demon Queen, who was stopped in her tracks by an unseen force that she couldn’t break through no matter how hard she tried.
And what’s even more surprising is his claims, and he knew the Demon Queen’s real name.
Mordecai leaned forward on his throne, and for the first time, his face showed more than just casual interest.
It was a sign of respect.
"Very well," he said. "You may talk to me."
"You have my full attention."
