The Lust System: Brother, Please Help Me-Chapter 141: Convincing
Over the next four days, Ember, Aiden, and the others found themselves in a sexual frenzy. They didn’t have to think about work or anything else. All they had to do was unleash their instincts.
When the four days were over, they came back to work feeling refreshed. But also feeling more sensual than they had in forever.
"Well, doesn’t everyone look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?" Ember teased.
Adrienne, lying against Alex, didn’t say anything. She extended her middle finger, flipping the bird.
Ember laughed at her reaction. She looked like she hadn’t gotten out of bed yet.
"Alright, don’t tease," Aiden said, pinching Ember’s nose. "We all had a good time, but there’s work to do."
"Based on what we know, the sun is still trying to scald every living thing. But we have intel that Valentina is planning to wait until after this atrocious heat to attack the military base, or whatever is left of it."
"We’ve never shown you her base before. But I think we need to do it now. Just remember that there are people in the base who are normal. They don’t have the same urges as these people we’re about to show you. But this is essentially what Valentina wants to do to everyone."
A holo-screen came down before them. Ember asked the CE to project the image of the worst parts of Valentina’s base on the screen.
Ivan whistled as soon as the image on the screen appeared.
It was a scene of naked bodies writhing together. Their eyes were hollow, and they appeared to be rutting just for the sake of rutting. People were contorted into all kinds of shapes.
There were people being fucked in all their holes. Whether men or women. As long as they find a hole, they make a beeline for it.
They watched for about five minutes. The obscene wet sounds echoed in the room. The moans, grunts, and groans could be heard by all. They were eager, but it was without any passion.
"This is what she’s planning to do. It’s a constant source of energy for her."
Aiden explained what they had seen. When they came back from the base, they had already talked to them about what they had seen. However, the scene just now was taken from the system Valentina had.
There was apparently something resembling a sub-basement where she kept the drones. Well, the true drones. The ones they had encountered have not been completely converted, so they have the ability to resist to a certain extent.
It also explains why Alen wasn’t particularly affected. He locked on to Cassandra, thinking she was his partner. His mind hadn’t been completely converted, so he fixated on Cassandra.
"So, she wants to do that to the soldiers. And we need to get them in our camp before we’re overrun by sex zombies?" Ivan asked questioningly.
"More or less. Which is why we need to convince them. And as an added bonus, we get new people to the base."
Nodding in agreement, they thought of ways to get the soldiers to believe them. The consensus was to show them the video and any other evidence they found or recorded while they were at her base.
The trouble was whether they wanted to detain them after getting the information.
"I might be able to prevent us from being caught. But when would we leave? The sun outside is probably hotter than hell’s asshole. We need to figure out how to go out into the sun and drag some desperate people back to the base."
Ember scratched her nose when she finished speaking. She wasn’t embarrassed, just thinking that she might be a bit of a scoundrel. But better a scoundrel than a pushover.
"Aside from the soldiers, what else do we need to be wary of?" Aiden asked.
"We’ve got zombies getting closer. I don’t know why. But they only walk at night. And when they do, they don’t walk far. I’m trying to confirm whether they are being controlled. But they are slowly moving towards us." Marcus leaned forward over the table.
Hearing this, Aiden was somewhat concerned. If they are moving towards them, what’s the driving force? And will they be able to get into the base? But they aren’t the biggest concern at the moment.
"How far away are they?"
"At the rate they’re moving, they won’t be here for more than a month. And as much as the advance is slow, it shows they know there are people here."
"A month?" chimed Ember. "Why would it take them that long if we’re able to see them now?"
"That’s why I think it’s concerning." Marcus sighed. "I have no idea what or why it is happening. Are they waiting for something? Is something leasing them here? Whatever it is, we have a month to consider what we need to do. That’s if the sun doesn’t kill us first."
The table was quiet when he said that. Yes, if the sun doesn’t get them, something else will. It hasn’t even been a year, but so much has happened. How much longer would this go on?
Regardless, they continued the meeting. They talked about everything they had missed in the past four days. They also agreed that they would visit the office tomorrow. They won’t allow the sun to beat down on the base, but they could do it to the office.
If they lost one office, they should be able to get another one after the sun’s heating party is over. If it ever decided, it would be over.
With the meeting over, they went to do their own thing. They had just come off vacation and didn’t feel like doing much. Plus, they could take care of the base from their rooms. This is the convenience of the upgrade.
They were curious to know what would happen if the base were to upgrade again. No matter how curious they were, they could only wait and see.
