As Adal sat on the bedside next to the sleeping Penelope, he went over the two skill options given to him.
As usual, he was given the option of a mage skill, and a lust skill.
The mage skill was a defensive spell that would shroud his body in an element that could help defend him from strikes of that same element.
It was a valuable skill that he would certainly aim for in the future; however, the Lust skill Never Blue was more interesting to him.
It allowed him to have sex back-to-back without ever feeling drained.
His first thought was that the next time Cupid decided to try and fuck the life out of him, he would be prepared. Who knew what such an event would bring.
"Adal... That felt so good."
Penelope had finally stirred from her sleep. She rubbed sleep from her eyes and looked down at herself. She was messy with her own juices.
Adal smiled and ran a hand through the woman’s hair. "I’m glad. It’s good to have you here with me, Penelope."
The green-haired woman rose to her feet, planning to have a shower before heading to sleep. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"And it’s good to be here. I feel like I have a promising future here. The library has given me a purpose that the noble life never could have. If only I could have realised this sooner, before ruining myself and letting so many men be with me..."
He could sense the sadness in Penelope’s words.
In the past, Adal had been adamant about making sure that the woman had properly redeemed herself before treating her as he would any other woman.
Now, she had most certainly done this.
Penelope had left her life of promiscuity behind her and decided to dedicate herself to Adal and the library. It was a decision that he respected deeply.
"You have not ruined yourself, Penelope. The way that you are now is perfect." He spoke calmly.
The woman’s eyes seemed to light up.
She flashed him a cute smile before heading out the door and making her way towards the shower.
Adal did not hear the tears of joy that she cried whilst cleaning her body.
...
Adal left the room soon afterwards and peeked his head through Juliette’s door to make sure that she was okay.
The woman was fast asleep, after having showered as well.
Adal was pleased to see his women doing well after all the hardships they had been through.
Juliette with her divorce and having been disowned by her father.
Penelope and her journey down a new path.
He reminisced on these things for the next few days as he prepared himself for the biggest moment of his life.
The Day of the Hamlet Play.

That weekend...
"Great Mother... If I had known the entire royal family would be here, I would have dressed better."
"Quick, tell me if I look okay! His majesty is about to pass me!"
"Sweet Mother, look at the curves of the Princess’s body! Iglantian woman are so beautiful, with their dazzling pink eyes."
...
The Velvet Curtain Theatre was bustling with more activity than it ever had before, as the day of the play had finally arrived.
It was so packed that those who were unable to get tickets waited outside just so they might be able to hear what was happening inside.
Adal Alexandrus sat backstage alone, as he did on the day of his first play release. However, unlike before, he was now more alert than he could ever be.
At any moment, the sun elves would appear, and take the lives of the royal family, changing the Torn Kingdom forever.
It was a day that would be marked down in history.

As he heard the play taking place, and the reactions of the crowd, Adal couldn’t help but think about what might be going on back home with his women.
They had asked to come and watch, but Adal had to tell them that it would be better if they didn’t.
However, that didn’t prevent Willow from being in the crowd, and Colette from coming to watch, since she felt like she had a connection to the theatre.
Adal only hoped that the events would not affect either of them.

During the finale of the play, which involved death and bloodshed, Adal finally heard it happen.
At the same time that a gasp could be heard on stage from one of the actors, another was heard in the crowd. A loud, feminine cry tore through the building, followed by the cries of many others.
Chaos followed. Adal heard steel clashing with steel, and men crying in agony.
He emerged from backstage to see what was going on. The first thing that he spotted was a dead man lying in the crowd with blood pooling beneath him.
Adal recognised the man immediately. It was the king, with a knife in his heart.
Just like that, the living ruler of the Torn Kingdom was dead because of Adal.
Before he could think about the implications, his eyes were drawn to a battle taking place around the stage.
Hundreds of spectators were now fleeing from the scene, but the rest of the royal family and their guards were fighting against a group of ten figures dressed in black.
The guards were strong, fighting with greatswords, long swords, and axes, but the assassins were fast. Too fast.
They moved with blinding speed, pushing knives into places where armour could not protect. Guard after guard fell to the ground in bloody heaps, and eventually, Adal spotted another member of the royal family fall. The Queen.
Prince George Wellington could be spotted amongst the spectators trying to flee frantically. He headed towards the exit with tears in his eyes, trying to escape the fate that his family had met.
Luck was not on his side that day, as a stray knife took him in the back of the neck.
There was only one person in the group of the royal family that seemed to be safe from all danger. Princess Iris, the woman who was married to the Prince who was now dead. She did not have fear on her face, and at times, Adal even spotted her using a knife of her own to take down some of her own guards.
Chaos was everywhere in the Velvet Curtain Theatre, and Adal was the man at its centre.
