The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse-Chapter 696: Birth of a Death Knight
A day after the meeting, Klaus met with all the War Gods, Goddesses, and Moon Generals. Most of them were at the Transcendent stage, with a few at the peak of the Sovereign stage and soon stepping into the ranks of a Transcendent.
He gave them the technique for the next phase of their evolution, just as he had done with the Overlords and the Grand Elders.
He also informed them that, in the coming months, they would aid the Overlords in his upcoming extermination campaign.

Even if they can't solo the Ascendents, they can still team up and handle them.
By the end of the meeting, all War Gods and Goddesses, like the Overlords, saw Klaus as the pillar of Earth and listened to his instructions.
They were all thankful they had someone like him in their midst.
Klaus then met with the Instructors and had them do two things.
The first was a training regimen the Overlords would ensure they each embarked on. This was to ensure they were qualified to do the second task he had for them.
That second task involved the instructors taking charge of the disciples who couldn't join the 606, which he would be turning into his personal unit.
The second item he gave them was the training plan. He also promised to use the 606 to generate resources that those not on the team could use to grow.
After the 606 were done with their training, they would come to help them.
But by the time he was done, he became exhausted, so he decided to rest for a few hours.
Klaus placed a seal on himself that prevented him from using his cultivation for anything for the next few days.
This resulted from a technique he was learning that required such strict restrictions. So, he was basically a mortal in this regard.
So, after the two meetings, he chose to rest for a while.
However, his rest was interrupted by Asha, who, for the past week, had been away checking up on her Tier 10 subordinate, who was undergoing his evolution thanks to taking Klaus's blood.
Klaus had to abandon his sleep and enter the Insect Domain with her and her sisters, who wanted to see what her domain looked like.
"This place is cool," Anna muttered as they walked through the door leading inside.
The Forge, which is surrounded by the seven pillars, has now awakened the first and second Tiers, leaving only the third, which Klaus already has plans to help her awaken soon.
The moment she awakens her bloodline, the third tier will be unlocked, and her class will be upgraded.
Unlike the others, Asha doesn't need to go through any intense training. She is a tamer, so she will rely on her beast companions during combat.
Though Klaus planned on using his vast knowledge to give her a combat-type class, that will be in the coming months.
For now, awakening her bloodline was the next best thing.
Asha led them to the place where her Tier 10 companion was undergoing the evolution.
"What is that?" Nadia asked. In front of them was a large alien-like cocoon with many cracks and an aura that suggested it housed a monster among monsters.
"It's almost complete," Klaus said, sensing the energy coming from it.
"Yes. A few minutes ago, it began to show cracks. I called you right when the first few cracks appeared."
"We should distance ourselves from it for now." The ladies and Klaus moved back.
"Klaus, what is that?" Nadia asked again.
"That is an alien beast undergoing an evolution that shouldn't have happened in the first place."
"Then why is it happening?" Queenie asked. She and Nari were massaging his sleeping body with the ladies when Asha came for him.
So, hearing they were interrupted for something that shouldn't have happened in the first place made them raise an eyebrow.
"Because I wanted to see what would become of such an experiment. The creature inside the cocoon is a reject that the heavens frown upon.
But I wanted to see what would be born from it, so I gave it my blood." A rebellious smile played on his lips as he imagined the reaction from the heavens.
The ladies looked at him and could only shake their heads.
They were starting to know more about him, and so far, they seemed to have noticed he had a thing against the heavens. So, seeing him smile at something the heavens hated made them sigh inwardly.
"It's breaking," Nari said, preparing for what would emerge from within. The cracks expanded, and soon, the entire alien cocoon was riddled with them.
Dark energy began exuding from the cracks, bringing with it a powerful presence slowly emanating from within the cocoon.
"Wow, that is some powerful Void energy," Queenie muttered as she watched the cocoon start to fall apart.
[Be ready, brat. What's coming is something even I'm not sure about,] the senior said, and Klaus nodded, already prepared to intervene if the abomination was truly fearsome.
"Who is that?" Lily asked a question that even Klaus wanted to ask. When the first large chunk of the cocoon fell, a figure appeared, causing them all to step back.
It was a tall metallic figure.
The figure towered, standing inside the other half of the cocoon and looking straight at Klaus and his ladies.
A few seconds later, the next piece of the cocoon fell, and the figure became fully visible.
Indeed, the figure that appeared was towering, standing amidst what appeared to be cloud-like smoke and surrounded by strange dim lights.
His body was covered in sleek, black metallic armor with sharp, intricate details, showing that he was made purely of metal. The armor had glowing orange lines running through it.
His helmet was demonic, with a smooth, featureless face and jagged, curved spikes at the sides. Sharp, elongated protrusions extended from his shoulders and back like metallic thorns.
These protrusions resembled metallic strands of thick hair that seemed to possess their own life. Klaus looked at all this and gulped.
'A Tier 11 existence,' he said to himself as he focused on his weapon.
The figure wielded a massive, futuristic scythe with a segmented, almost mechanical blade that glowed with molten energy.
The energy was orange, yet a glowing pink cosmic ring hovered behind him, giving him a celestial or otherworldly presence. His dark cloak flowed down, adding an air of mystery.

"That is one terrifying opponent. I don't think I can defeat him," Queenie muttered.
"None of us can defeat him," Klaus said, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Klaus," Nari looked at him. "What the hell have you created? This thing should not appear in this world, at least not now." Her expression was serious.
The 3-meter-tall figure standing before them was a being that hadn't appeared in the known universe before. In fact, the moment the figure emerged from the cocoon, a voice entered Klaus's mind, making him smile like a baby.
Strangely, looking at the towering figure made him feel at peace. It was a strange feeling, yet he felt it.
"Ladies, I don't know what name will be appropriate to give to this being, but for the purpose of pissing the heavens off, I will pick the ideal name." Klaus's smile widened.
"I want you to meet the first and only Death Knight that this known universe has ever seen."
The heavens outside roared as the sky turned red...
