The Lady of the Prestigious Family is a Big Boss-Chapter 814: Did You Enjoy Smashing Things? (Part 2)
Qin Er looked at the two laughing and chatting, utterly confused, "Master Jiu, how should we handle this matter?"
Ye Jiuliang took a step, "Come on, let’s see what kind of riff-raff we’re dealing with."
The headquarters was still a long way from the club, and even by airplane, it would take an hour.
With Chu Chen absent, someone needed to handle the numerous affairs at the headquarters. Since Ye Jiuliang left, Gu Xinuo naturally had to stay behind.
Eating and drinking on the plane, by the time Ye Jiuliang arrived at the club, she was almost too full to move.
The plane landed on the club’s rooftop, but fortunately, the soundproofing was good enough not to attract attention.
As evening slowly fell, a cold wind arose, lifting the corners of her dark outfit slightly, as an imperceptible, chilling aura spread silently.
The club’s manager received the news and came up to the rooftop to greet her, "Master Jiu, they’re all on the second floor."
Ye Jiuliang glanced at him with indifferent eyes, "Did they break anything?"
"Some items on the second floor were smashed," the manager replied.
Ye Jiuliang raised an eyebrow, so they really trashed the place.
"Calculate the value of the items."
If something was broken, compensation was due, and ten to a hundred times the value would be demanded.
The manager was stunned for a few seconds but quickly understood.
He smiled slightly, "Understood."
If they had known earlier, they should have placed more items on the second floor—what a pity.
Ye Jiuliang put on the silver mask and stepped off the rooftop.
Qin Er and the club’s manager exchanged a glance and quickly followed.
Someone was about to have bad luck; they had a show to watch.
Second floor.
The grand banquet hall, splendidly lit, lacked the usual jovial banter.
All around was deathly silence, with a palpable sense of tension.
"Who do you think from the K organization will come?" suddenly, someone piped up.
"Could it be Chu Chen?"
"How could it be Chu Chen? I got news that he’s in country F and can’t possibly make it here."
"Exactly, besides, the K organization has more than one leader, so who knows who’ll actually show up."
"If a push-over comes, our odds would be much better."
A round of mocking laughter echoed.
"Ha."
"Who in the K organization is a pushover? They’re all fiercer than the last, and no one has ever been considered easy to bully," said a young man in a cold voice.
"What do you mean by that? We’re all here, are we supposed to back down?"
"Alright, everyone calm down; the K organization hasn’t even shown up yet, and we’re already infighting. Isn’t this just playing into the K organization’s hands?"
The one trying to mediate was Hunter’s brother, Lihan.
He glanced at his watch, face growing grim. It had been hours, and no one from the K organization had appeared. What was their game?
Just then, a hidden door in the corner of the banquet hall slowly opened.
"I hear someone came to cause trouble, so, did you enjoy it?"
The voice was icy, delivering each word like a slap.
"Why don’t you stay for dinner before you leave?"
An icy chill crept from their feet up their spines, sending shivers down everyone’s hearts.
They exchanged glances, expressions showing fear.
Instantly, they all turned their gaze toward the source of the voice.
A slim figure suddenly halted, the silver mask adding an air of mystery, as a chilling aura radiated from her center.
Not Chu Chen, so who was she?
The person sent by the K organization was a woman?
Were they being looked down upon?
Faces slightly changed, thoughts varied.
Ye Jiuliang surveyed them with cold eyes, devoid of any warmth.
"Master Jiu." Qin Er brought over a sofa chair.
Master Jiu?
The group was utterly baffled.
Was she also one of the K organization’s leaders?
Despite their best efforts to hide their thoughts, to Ye Jiuliang, they might as well have written them on their foreheads. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
She sat in the sofa chair, her commanding presence undiminished.
"Who wants to challenge our K organization? Come, step forward, let me see." Her disdainful tone crushed everyone’s arrogance.
Those who were shouting moments ago about attacking didn’t dare make a sound now.
Each one shrank back, not daring to utter a word.
Qin Er suppressed a smile; encountering Master Jiu was their greatest misfortune.
Ye Jiuliang looked at the scattered vase shards on the ground, the coldness in her eyes terrifying, "Why is everyone so quiet, have you all gone mute?"
"We want to see the leader of the K organization," Lihan couldn’t hold back any longer and said.
Ye Jiuliang looked at his face, resembling Hunter’s five or six times over, and said coldly, "Well, too bad, I’m the leader of the K organization."
Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned, gazing at the woman’s silver mask, a feeling of dread creeping into their hearts.
"You have fifteen minutes to explain why you trashed our K organization’s place. If I don’t like what I hear, none of you will leave here today." Ye Jiuliang spoke leisurely.
"Qin Er, start timing."
"Yes."
Qin Er took out his phone and started timing.
Her iron-clad demeanor left everyone in shock,
"Release Hunter. Your K organization can’t just do as it pleases, capturing whoever it wants."
"Hunter smuggled our K organization’s goods, deliberately provocing us first. How is that doing as we please?" Her tone grew stern.
Lihan choked, "You..."
Ye Jiuliang regarded him coldly, enunciating each word, "Hunter admitted it himself, and the goods were found on your family’s premises. Isn’t that evidence enough?"
"I don’t wish to involve the innocent, but if you insist on getting involved, then let’s be clear: from today onward, your Hunter Family is blacklisted from our circle."
"That’s not possible," Lihan said urgently, "You can’t do this, you have no right."
"Whether I can or not, you’ll find out soon enough." Ye Jiuliang glanced at the others, her lips curling into a mischievous smile.
"And as for the rest of you, none of you’ll escape either."
"Your K organization is powerful, but you can’t just bully people. If it comes to a fight, it’ll be mutual destruction, and you won’t have things easy," a middle-aged man standing next to Lihan said fiercely.
"Mutual destruction? You’re not even qualified for that." Ye Jiuliang’s eyes lifted wryly, hinting at hostility.
"Qin Er."
Qin Er understood, nodded, and clapped his hands.
"Proceed."
With these words, a group of men in purple uniforms rushed in, surrounding the banquet hall.
The murderous atmosphere nearly lifted the roof off the club.
Lihan and his companions turned solemn, watching as men in purple uniforms formed a barricade, their vicious air suffocating.
"Whoever broke these things, write an IOU, and make sure it’s delivered personally tomorrow, understood?" Ye Jiuliang stood up, speaking unhurriedly.
The club manager wore a gleeful smile, "Yes, I’ll have those IOUs sent to their respective territories myself."
And then, tomorrow, make them bring back the IOUs to pay, thinking they could be more arrogant than Master Jiu.
