The Lady Is Mine-Chapter 195: Epilogue (II)

Kali sipped wine from the glass she twirled in between her fingers. She watched calmly one person in the room.
Each time Percy glanced her way, she found her ear burning red. She couldn’t wait for the day to come to an end so she would slip away with him. She’d been composed all day—calm, observant, arms crossed like she had the emotional range of a brick wall.
Not that she wasn’t happy for her brother but she couldn’t wait to be in the arms of her man.
Done with the fourth glass of wine. Kali dropped it on a table and turned. Leaving the room.
Percy noticed this, and he got ready to leave. He turned to Rhane and yawned.
"I will...ehm...go inside now." Percy ruffled his hair, before Rhane could suggest another wine to them. He bolted.
Jenna was the only person who noticed all of this, she almost burst trying to hold her laugh and their secret. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Percy almost sprained his ankle while trying to cover very large distance. He pushed open the guest-room door upstairs.
Instead, he found Kali sitting on the edge of the bed. She had stripped lf the dress she had on earlier, had a shirt on with her sleeves rolled up, barefoot, looking like a meal.
Percy gulped. He had intended to run and be with Kali but seeing her like this. He cleared his throat.
"Sorry. Jenna said I could—um—rest here for a bit. I didn’t— I didn’t realize you’d—"
"Oh please," Kali said, standing up from the bed to close the door behind him. "If you wanted rest then you’re in the right place."
Percy touched his jaw, he was nervous. Days has passed since he accepted his feelings for Kali but she still made him nervous. In a good way.
"Why are you sweating?" Kali asked, stepping closer.
"I’m not sweating." Percy licked his dry lips.
Kali hummed. "Then didn’t you run in here because you missed my face?" Percy chuckled. Good. Kali thought. He was less likely to faint if he remembered how air worked.
Kali walked away from him, her steps very slow knowing Percy watched. She lowered herself on the bed with her legs crossed. "So," she muttered softly. "Tell me again how you’re in love with me."
Percy inhaled deeply. Kali always asked this of him. And him? He wasn’t tired of confessing his feelings to her. "I didn’t say it because I wanted anything. I just wanted you to know. No matter what happens I will always—"
"Oh, I know," Kali cut in. "You said it with your full chest. In front of my brother, no less. The man is half-convinced you’ve lost your mind."
Percy smiled, raking his fingers through his hair "Have I?"
Kali didn’t say a word instead she moved her leg down, spreading it open. Slowly, deliberately—so that Percy’s eyes followed.
Percy’s breath caught somewhere between fear and anticipation. He hated how obvious he was. She loved it.
"You should be afraid of me," Her words rolled smoothly like butter on bread.
"I am," Percy admitted instantly. When he saw Kali’s bare thighs, he gulped and looked away.
Kali blinked, thrown off by his honesty. "Why?"
"Because you’re intense," Percy confessed. "And passionate. And you say things like its your last day on earth." His throat bobbed. "And because when you look at me, I feel like you’ve already decided my fate."
Kali tilted her head, studying him. "And yet... you stay."
Percy bit his lower lip to keep from laughing. "I love it."
Kali blinked. "You... love it?"
"Yes. Because I love everything about you. All of it," he said, stepping closer. "Your accent. Your temper. Your threats. Your dramatics. Your silence. Your noise. Everything."
Percy exhaled softly. "I know you pretend you’re sharpness and sarcasm, but your edges soften when you think no one’s looking. I know you’d burn a village down for the people you love. I know you pretend not to care, but you care so much it scares you. And I know...." he paused,
"that every time you slip into that accent of yours, it’s because you’re either tired... or flustered."
Kali bit her lower lips, "Then kiss me....if you really love me like you say....kiss me, Percy."
Percy turned to look at the door that was locked then back at Kali. "We...we can’t not here...until we get married.
Kali stood up instantly, walked up to him and grabbed his breeches.
"What- oh...Ka- sweet heavens...wait...Kali-"
Kali stopped moving her hands, "Everyone knows we are in love and I want you so bad like I’ve never wanted anything...I can’t wait anymore."
Percy could see it in her eyes, how she really felt. He rubbed his sweaty palm on his shirt. "But we should wait before-"
"Ssss..." Kali hissed to shut him up.
Percy licked his lips, "Can I..." he breathed in. "Let me um....Can I touch you?"
Kali loved the softness, she nodded. "Yes, you can Percy." It felt new. For a man to ask for her permission before laying hands on her. It was a new feeling and Kali didn’t know if she would ever get used to it.
"Then, if you don’t mind." Percy moved his arm around her waist to bring her closer to his chest. He first made sure his nose touched Kali’s own and both of them giggled when it tickled.
"You really looked beautiful during the wedding. I couldn’t get my eyes to look elswhere." Percy murmured, before he covered Kali’s lips with his own. Then he sucked.
Ravishing, memorizing how Kali taste and how her tongue felt in his mouth.
Kali moved both of them to the bed, falling first she took Percy’s hand, dragging him to herself.
Percy moved his hand up her thighs feeling the bare skin beneath the shirt. He moved down kissing her from her toes up to her knee and thighs then her stomach.
Each kiss, he took his time to love, stare, massage as if he was adoring a goddess.
Kali’s heart swell up with joy, seeing a man treat her body like this was rare.
"Mm..." she hissed when Percy kissed her navel and then sucked.
"Your sounds are as beautiful as you are...Kali." Percy confessed reaching to her buttons, he opened them slowly until Kali laid bare on the bed.
Stroking and playing with the mound on her chest, Percy’s hands moved awkwardly like he was still afraid to make a move.
Kali’s toes curled. She found him even more adorable. Wrapping her arm around his neck, with her legs around his waist. Kali pulled him closer.
"Go ahead and hop, my little rabbit."
The night, finally, belonged to them. And just them alone.
