Chapter 605: The Frustrated Seira

Nolan walked out of his mother’s yard with a serious look on his face.

"Seira is being arranged to marry, huh? This is really unexpected news," he muttered.

As far as he could remember, Seira hated arranged marriages. Their father also loved her very much, so it was hard to imagine him letting Seira become the bride of another family.

"Could the conversation between Father and Clarise earlier have been about that?"

When that thought crossed his mind, everything suddenly made sense.

He didn’t understand why Clarise was so insistent on marrying Seira off to Aldrian of the Ancient Kingdom of Eron.

"Could it be that she stood to gain something from the marriage?"

Logically, it was very possible. Nolan needed to find out the truth as soon as possible.

As Nolan walked with his mind wandering, a maid suddenly ran toward him with a worried look on her face.

"Your Highness Nolan, thank goodness I found you. Please... please help me!"

Nolan was surprised and looked at the maid in confusion. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

"What is it?"

The maid gasped for a few seconds before answering, "Princess Seira is missing!"

...

The city of Solvaria was bustling with people coming and going. With the bright, sunny weather, everyone seemed busy with their daily activities.

Some were working, others shopping, and many simply passing through. The city center was the most crowded area, filled with restaurants, entertainment venues, and countless shops.

At that moment, in one of the most famous bars in the capital, Seira sat alone, sipping a glass of beer.

Her face was red, and her breathing was uneven. It was obvious she was drunk.

"Damn you, Mother... You want to use me for Adalen’s sake, don’t you? I won’t fall into your trap!" she grumbled in anger and frustration.

She hated arranged marriages. The reason was simple—she had seen it happen to her own mother, and in her eyes, it had been a failure.

Unlike Concubine Isabella, who married for love, her mother, Clarise, had married her father purely for political reasons.

There was no love between them, only mutual interests. As a talented and gifted child, Seira had developed her awareness as early as nine months old.

Because of that, she understood her mother’s situation very well. And now, her mother wanted her to sacrifice herself for Adalen’s sake, something she clearly refused to accept.

Her body and her future belonged to her, not to anyone else, including her own mother.

As she sat there sulking and drowning in her sadness, a playful voice suddenly came from in front of her.

"Yo, pretty lady. Do you want to play with us?"

Seira’s movement to take a sip stopped midair. She glanced ahead and saw three burly men grinning at her.

They had ugly faces, crooked teeth, and a pungent body odor.

Seira’s pent-up frustration finally exploded.

"Get out of here. You’re wasting my time," she snapped coldly, shooing them away.

The three men were surprised, but not angry. On the contrary, they seemed even more excited.

"Don’t be so fierce, beautiful woman. I’m sure you’ll be satisfied if you play with the three of us," the man in the middle said with a grin.

He stared at Seira with lust in his eyes. It had to be admitted that Seira was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life.

Her pink hair was slightly wavy and flowed down her back.

Her golden eyes were captivating enough to make anyone’s heart race.

Although she wore a brown cloak that covered her figure, the man was certain that an extraordinary treasure was hidden beneath it.

After all, her ample breasts were still faintly visible under the cloak.

Seira frowned and waved her right hand near her nose.

"Go away. You stink, damn it!"

Her words made the man freeze. He sniffed his own body and indeed noticed the odor.

But the insult felt like a hard slap to his face. Feeling humiliated, he immediately grabbed Seira by the neck.

"How dare you insult me!? Just watch how I’m going to humiliate you!" he said angrily.

His two friends behind him were surprised by his sudden reaction. However, they did not stop him and simply watched with smiles on their faces.

Meanwhile, the people who had been relaxing were disturbed by the commotion.

However, once they saw who was causing it, they pretended not to notice and continued with their own business.

"Ugh..." Seira felt pain in her neck. The man’s grip was so strong that it made it difficult for her to breathe.

"Let go... of me," she ordered angrily.

"Hehehe... still trying to act tough? I won’t make it pleasant for you, Lady. Now come with me to the inn. If not..."

The man’s round eyes were filled with cold menace.

But Seira was not afraid at all. She was a princess.

How dare an ordinary man like him treat her this way?

But then she remembered that she had left in disguise.

Although the three of them would likely be sentenced to death later, by then her body might already be defiled.

Just imagining it made her feel disgusted. She regretted leaving without bringing a guard.

As the fear of being defiled by the three men began to rise in her heart, a powerful kick suddenly came from the side.

Bang!

The bald man who had been gripping her neck was sent flying and crashed into the bar where people were drinking their beer.

It happened so fast that the bald man’s two burly companions didn’t even have time to react.

But in the next second, another kick came, striking both of them and sending them flying.

Everyone was shocked and turned to look at the perpetrator—a handsome man with black hair.

The man was tall, had purple eyes, and his body exuded a frightening aura of authority.

They could only swallow hard and did not dare look at him for long. Only Seira couldn’t take her eyes off him.

Nolan turned to Seira and exhaled deeply. Walking toward her, he checked her from head to toe and felt relieved to see that she was completely unharmed.

"Let’s go," he said.

But Seira refused. She pursed her lips and replied reluctantly, "If you don’t carry me, I won’t go."

She turned her face away and folded her arms across her chest.

Nolan was amused by her childish attitude. It was rare for Seira to show this vulnerable side to him.

Usually, she preferred to take the dominant position as the elder sister.

Having no other choice, Nolan bent down and lifted Seira into his arms.

Seira wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face against the right side of Nolan’s neck.

"You’re late," she whispered.

Nolan smiled. "I’m sorry. I didn’t know you had gotten into so much trouble. If I had known, I would have come sooner."

Seira said nothing—she only smiled faintly.

Without another word, Nolan carried Seira away from that place.

Everyone there could only watch them leave, along with the mess Nolan had left behind.

"My bar... argh!"

A middle-aged man cried out at the sight of the wreckage and could only blame the three burly men for everything.
