The Hero Took Everything from Me, So I Partied with the Hero's Mother!-Chapter 369
Since then, Serena-kun has been dropping by their house whenever he has free time, even though he lives at the school dorm.
"Lida-oneechan, let's play!" Serena called out with a bright smile.
"What do you want to play today, Serena?" Lida asked, crouching down to his eye level.
"Hmm... I'll let Lida-oneechan decide!" he replied, puffing out his chest.
"In that case, how about we go to the Royal Kohane Four Seasons Hawaiian Platinum Hotel?" she suggested with a playful grin.
Serena tilted his head. "Is that place really fun?"
"Of course it is," Lida said, her voice full of confidence.
It's a famous resort, with both a pool and hot springs—huge, extravagant, and made to feel like a tropical paradise.
Ceres once called it the finest entertainment spot, the best of the best.
"It's got everything. A pool made by otherworlders, modeled after Hawaii. Serena's father, Ceres, and his mother, Maria-ne, always brag about how amazing it is, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it too," Lida added with a laugh.
"I see... then I want to go!" Serena said, eyes shining.
Looking back, Lida used to work in childcare back when she was forced to serve under Zect. She's always been good with kids.
"Yeah, I think you'll have a lot of fun," Lida said, nodding. "But it's kind of far from here. Is that okay?" fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
"Mm-hmm, that's fine! Let's go!" Serena replied, taking her hand.
The two of them stepped outside together.
"Change Dragon!" Serena called out, his form glowing as his body transformed into a majestic dragon.
"As always, Serena, you're amazing," Lida said, looking up in awe. "I've only seen dragons this big from Bauer-sama and Ceres."
"R-Really?" Serena muttered, flustered. "Hearing that makes me a little shy... Anyway..."
"We're going to the Royal Kohane Four Seasons Hawaiian Platinum Hotel, right?" Lida asked.
"Yup, let's go," Serena said with a nod.
Just as Lida was about to climb onto Serena's back, a voice interrupted.
"Wait! If you're going there, take me too!"
"Huh? Mel wants to come?" Serena asked, turning around.
For a second, both Serena and Lida wore awkward expressions.
It felt like she was barging in.
"Am I not allowed...?" Mel asked quietly.
"It's fine. I'll bring Mel along too," Serena said, though he scratched his cheek with a troubled look.
"Yeah, yeah. If you want to come, I guess we can't stop you," Lida added, sighing.
"Serena-kun, Lida, we're friends, right?" Mel asked with a small smile.
Lida tilted her head. "Friends? I always thought of you more like... family."
"Lida is like a mother to me," Serena said with a soft laugh. "So maybe not a friend, exactly."
"You two are the worst!" Mel pouted. "I don't mind Serena, but Lida and I have been together since we were little! I was even part of the family for a time as Zect's concubine! Doesn't that count for something?"
"Mel is my real older sister," Serena said plainly. "So calling her a friend doesn't really fit."
"Then that makes Lida the same, right?" Mel asked, folding her arms.
"Yeah, she's not a friend either. She's a big sister. That's different," Serena answered with a nod.
"I used to be a side concubine too," Lida said softly. "So maybe we're not friends, but... more like family."
"Big sister... family..." Mel repeated quietly, eyes downcast.
"See? I don't really get why Mel's sulking," Serena said, lowering himself. "Anyway, if you're coming, hop on."
"...Alright. Thanks," Mel replied, climbing up behind Lida.
"Then let's head to the longed-for Royal Kohane Four Seasons Hawaiian Platinum Hotel," Lida said with a warm smile.
With both of them riding on his back, Serena-kun opened his massive wings and soared into the sky.
