Chapter 314: Chapter 312- Not An Ounce Of Mercy

Byeong-Ho’s facial expression became weird, and he turned to look at Yuji. Seeing the serious expression on his face, Byeong-Ho sighed and turned away to ignore him.

It was obvious he had gotten accustomed to Yuji’s unhinged way of speaking. He would say anything that came to his mind, no matter how outrageous those thoughts were.

Seeing Byeong-Ho ignored his proposal Yuji scooted closer as he said.

"Brother Byeong-Ho, I’m serious about this. Let’s make this work, we could go to our fathers and force them to agree. If they don’t then we can just elope toget-"

"Please, stop talking."

Byeong-Ho finally couldn’t take it and he held up his hand to stop Yuji. He then stared at him and asked with a frown.

"Just come clean. Why are you suggesting something like this? What do you really want?"

Yuji’s expression didn’t falter under Byeong-Ho’s suspicion, instead he became passionate as he said.

"Brother Byeong-Ho, we’ve known each other since we were young, but over these past few months we’ve been together, I’ve noticed that I started having these feelings for you. I tried to ignore them, but I... I just can’t anymore!"

Byeong-Ho’s expression darken slightly, especially when he saw Yuji’s subtly action. He seem to be staring Byeong-Ho in the eyes as he spoke, but ever so slightly his gaze would drift toward the Immortal Sword floating next to Byeong-Ho.

Obviously, his words just now weren’t directed at Byeong-Ho, his last few words espicially held a deeper meaning. After hearing that Byeong-Ho had obtained an Immortal Sword, and holding out for so long, he couldn’t hold out anymore! He directly come to the Huashan Sect to act on his feelings!

"Sorry, I have no interest in a male partner."

However, Byeong-Ho’s blunt reply came crashing down. Afyerward he went back to ignoring Yuji.

Yuji gritted his teeth after having his plan failed, but he then blurted out.

"It seems you also have no interest in a girl partner because you only have eyes for this sword!"

Byeong-Ho continued to ignore Yuji despite his shouts.

Yuji clenched his fists and said.

"Fine, fine! I just want to be close to Brother Byeong-Ho so I can observe this Immortal Sword. I can’t possibly join the Huashan Sect, so marriage is the only way!" 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"Oh, is it that so?"

Byeong-Ho asked, and Yuji nodded like a chicken pecking the ground.

"If we merely stay as friends or even become sworn brothers, can I, Namgung Yuji, be able to accompany you to bed? No! I cannot! So after much thought and deliberation, I reluctantly decided that marriage is the only for us to be together at all times!"

Byeong-Ho couldn’t help but rub his forehead as he felt a headache coming on.

"What are you doing here Yuji?"

Yuji flashed a smile.

"Okay, aside from this sword, what else could I be here for other than to have a Sword Intent spar with you?"

"Are you not tired of losing?"

Yuji shrugged.

"If I cared about such things when challenging you, would I even have the face to come here time and time again?"

Byeong-Ho glared at him before saying.

"Then if that’s what you’re here for then what’s with all your blabbering?"

Yuji flashed another smile before he got up and sat down ten feet from Byeong-Ho.

"Let’s start with our Sword Intent at the Initial Mastery Realm first."

Byeong-Ho didn’t respond but instead lazily rested his chin on his left hand and looked at Yuji with an expressionless look on his face.

Yuji didn’t seem to mind that Byeong-Ho wasn’t taking this seriously, he had enough seriousness for both of them.

Yuji closed his eyes and took a deep breath before releasing it. With legs crossed and his hands on his knees, a blue aura slowly appeared around his body.

At the same time, a pink aura slowly appeared around Byeong-Ho, who still appeared casual.

If a normal cultivator was here at this moment, they would sense an oppressive aura encapsulating the entire hall.

They would also get the feeling that the two youths seated on the stage had transformed into two Heavenly Swords.

Overall, they would be amazed by the Sword Auras they were releasing at such a young age.

However, if a swordsman or swordswoman was here, he or she would immediately realize that these two youths’ Sword Aura wasn’t just outstanding, but completely bizarre.

Even a Sword Cultivator in the Spiritual Realm might not have a Sword Aura of this level. It was surely at a stage where it could turn into Sword Intent!

These Sword Cultivators would have immediately sat down and started trying to deepen their comprehension of the sword.

For Sword Cultivators, Sword Aura, and Sword Intent were different but similar at the same time.

Sword Aura reflected the level of mastery one had over the sword. If one Sword Aura was strong enough, then one might be able to use it to suppress the cultivation base of a cultivator.

It was essentially Sword Intent in its most basic form at the Initially Mastery Realm.

As for Sword Intent, it was something that one can develop from Sword Aura if they’ve, one, mastered a Sword Art up to the Mastery Realm, and second, if they’ve comprehended Sword Intent on its own up to the Mastery Realm.

The latter being more difficult.

The levels of mastery for Sword Intent were somewhat the same for a Martial Skill. It was the Initially Mastery Realm, Mastery Realm, Greater Mastery Realm, Perfection Realm, and finally, Transcendent Realm.

But of course, to truly cultivate and increase one’s Sword Intent mastery, one would need to increase their comprehension of the sword.

If one is able to transform their Sword Aura into Sword Intent, and then go a step further to reach the Greater Mastery Realm, then one could use their Sword Intent to attack opponents, either on its own or with the combination of a Sword Art.

But make no mistake, reaching the Mastery Realm of a Sword Art and transforming your Sword Aura into Sword Intent might be easier than going the natural route and comprehending Sword intent on its own, but reaching the Mastery Realm in a Sword Art does not guarantee one would develop and transform their Sword Aura into Sword Intent. And even if one develops Sword Intent, mastering it to the level one can use it to attack an opponent is by no means an easy feat, only outstanding sword prodigies could do so.

However, when someone does master it to that level, their combat strength would be far greater than their cultivation base.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if a Sword Cultivator in the Quasi-Spiritual Realm, who has mastered Sword Intent to the Greater Mastery Realm, was able to battle someone in the Spiritual Realm.

Additionally, the gap between their cultivation base and their actually combat strength would only increase as their comprehension of Sword Intent deepens, thus making Sword Cultivators some of the most terrifying people to have as opponents.

Byeong-Ho and Yuji were the two greatest sword prodigies of this generation and the ones before, and if not for the strange occurrences of generational prodigies popping up from the other races, they would have likely gone on to rule this generation with their Sword Intents.

Currently, both of them were entangled in a Sword Intent sparring match.

Through one’s senses, one would be able to feel two formless Sword Auras taking up each side of the stage. These Sword Auras were playing a game of endurance.

Yuji and Byeong-Ho Sword Intents were currently at the Initial Mastery Realm, suppressed to their most basic form as Sword Aura.

In this basic form, they clashed on equal footing.

This meant that both Byeong-Ho and Yuji had similar strengths in their foundations.

This clash lasted for a few minutes. The first person to make a move was Byeong-Ho. He tapped his index finger on his knee and his Sword Aura instantly rose to the Mastery Realm, and thus tranforming into Sword Intent.

Yuji’s Sword Aura rose at almost the same time to become Sword Intent as well so as to not be crushed.

Once again, the two Sword Intents were on equal footing at this level of mastery.

After a few minutes, Yuji took the initiative to increase his Sword Intent to the Greater Mastery Realm.

Byeong-Ho tapped his index finger on his knee and his Sword Intent rose to contest with Yuji’s Sword Intent.

This was where an imbalance occurred.

There was a slight delay when Yuji increased his Sword Intent to the Greater Mastery Realm, but Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent was like a steady mountain as it ascended to the Greater Mastery Realm.

As the two Sword Intents clashed at this level the void started to tremble around the two youths. Their Sword Intents that were once formless now became tangible.

A wave of blue crashed against a wave of pink on the stage.

However, if one looked closely, the wave of blue looked unsteady against the bombardment of the pink wave.

All this time, Byeong-Ho was wearing a casual expression. However, his eyes slightly lit up when Yuji’s once unsteady Sword Intent stabilized.

The light in Byeong-Ho’s eyes started to increase because as time went on, he wasn’t able to crush Yuji’s Sword Intent.

Byeong-Ho was excited in his heart but he didn’t outwardly show it. He instaed tapped his index finger against his knee once more.

His Sword Intent didn’t shoot toward the Perfection Realm all at once. It stopped at the very peak of the Greater Mastery Realm and slowly inched its way until it reached the precipice of entering the Perfection Realm.

While Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent was rising upward, Yuji’s face had turned ashen as he tried to resist the crushing force of Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent.

He gritted his teeth, and his Sword Intent slowly matched Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent as it climbed. However, at some point, Yuji’s Sword Intent seemed to have hit a wall, unable to reach the heights Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent could reach.

Byeong-Ho seeing this had the excited light in his eyes dimed, and a look of disappointment replaced it.

Yuji’s face had become as white as paper while trying to resist Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent.

Byeong-Ho looked at Yuji and showed him not an ounce of mercy.

With another tap of his index finger, Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent instantly entered the Perfection Realm, albeit just a sliver.

However, this revelation caused Yuji’s eyes to widened, and he looked at Byeong-Ho in utter shock. His heart also couldn’t help but feel a chill.

But in the next instant, Byeong-Ho’s towering Sword Intent was like a foot that had lifted and stomped down on Yuji’s Sword Intent.

The void in the surroundings trembled violently, and Yuji’s Sword Intent was forced back into his body.

As a result, Yuji coughed up a mouth full of blood, which turned his once prestine white robes bright red.
