Once Lin Xue went to the restroom, Ling Feng looked at Du Song and He Bing, "Stop guessing, she is my girlfriend!"
"Um..."
Du Song and He Bing both felt awkward, exchanging glances before Du Song couldn’t help but speak up, "Boss, not to hide it from you, we can see it and understand very well, but there’s something I want to remind you of!"
"What is it?" Ling Feng was curious, looking at him as he asked.
"There are a lot of people who like Lin Xue, so you’d better act fast and strike first!" Du Song clenched his fist, speaking earnestly.

Du Song’s face turned awkward, "That’s not what I meant, just take her early, it’s good for you!"
The more they spoke, the more outrageous it became. Just as Ling Feng was about to inquire further, Lin Xue came out of the restroom, "I’m ready, let’s go!"
"Already?"
All three men asked in unison.
"What else? Did you expect me to spend an hour putting on makeup?" Lin Xue rolled her eyes!
She had just gone in to wash her face and change clothes, of course she was quick.
But seeing the three men’s reaction, it was as if they were hoping she’d stay inside a bit longer. What were they thinking!
Ling Feng chuckled, "Exactly sharp. Let’s go then. Let’s check out that company first!"
"It’s Yuan Corporation!" Lin Xue corrected him.
The group left the hotel and drove off.
Half an hour later, they arrived at their destination in the suburbs and from afar, they saw the huge golden signboard. The four characters for Yuan Corporation shone brilliantly under the sunlight, almost dazzling to look at directly.
"Pretty flashy, what does this company do to have such a huge signboard? Aren’t they afraid of attracting trouble?" Ling Feng asked.
Lin Xue didn’t say a word, and Du Song in the back seat quickly spoke up, "They’re in electronics. Their chips are now world-class, and it’s said that they’re researching the next generation of new products. Those foreigners came specifically for this!"
"Oh, no wonder they’re so impressive. So they really do have the resources," Ling Feng nodded, thinking it’s fair enough for a company that brings glory to the nation to show off a little!
The car didn’t stop on the highway but took a smaller road at an intersection, entering a country dirt road, and then stopped out of sight from the main road.
"You guys wait here. I’m going to look around and get familiar with the surroundings."
As Ling Feng prepared to get out of the car, Du Song and He Bing said in unison, "Boss, shall we come with you?"
"No, you two stay here and take care of Lin Xue’s safety!" Ling Feng said, looking back.
With nothing else to say, the two men could only nod, "Then be careful."
Ling Feng smiled, climbed up the slope, and soon disappeared from their view.
Leaving the three in the car aside, when Ling Feng got to the other side of the slope, he saw a huge complex of buildings come into view.
This was a company that combined research and production, so there were many buildings and the complex was very large.
The surroundings were wilderness, with no sign of human life, the nearest village was also a kilometer or two away.
Ling Feng thought to himself, seeing this: It was convenient for surveillance, as standing on high ground allowed him to see everything happening around the company.
There was a path in front of him that led to the mountains in the distance, with farmlands all around. Due to winter, there were no crops in the fields, just deep yellow soil.
Ling Feng pretended he was just going for a walk, strolling casually in the wilderness, and soon he circled to the back of the company.
As he was thinking of taking a round and heading back, a figure with something on its back appeared on the hillside ahead, walking slowly over.
He took a closer look and saw what seemed to be a villager from a nearby village, with two wild rabbits slung over his shoulder.
Ling Feng understood at a glance that the man had been hunting in the mountains for game.
He himself had done this before. In winter, when the snow fell, wild rabbits would come out to forage and leave footprints behind. With a simple snare made of wire, one could catch them.
As they approached each other, they met, and Ling Feng asked with a smile, "Nice haul there, two rabbits, enough for a pot stew, eh?"
The villager smiled back, "Yep, it would be even better with a big rooster!"
After exchanging jests, they passed by each other, but then Ling Feng heard the man murmur, "Strange, why are there so many outsiders today?"
Ling Feng paused in his steps and abruptly turned back, "What did you say?"
"Oh, nothing, I saw you looked unfamiliar, so you must not be from around here, right?" the villager asked.
Ling Feng nodded, "No, I’m just out for a wander."
"Oh, I also ran into a few people in the mountains just now, they wouldn’t happen to be with you, would they?" the villager continued to ask.
Ling Feng was taken aback, and a thought flashed through his mind. He immediately nodded, "Yeah, I was wondering where they’d gone. Did you see them?"
"Certainly did, just up in the mountains ahead, not sure what they were up to, and they even brought tents. If you’re looking for them, take this road into the mountains, walk a little over two li, and you’ll see them!" said the man.
Ling Feng’s face lit up with surprise, "Thank you so much! Those guys left me behind, and I’ll have to settle the score with them when I find them!"
The villager turned and left, and Ling Feng also turned back, looking towards the distant deep mountains, "Damn it, could those people have some other trick up their sleeve?"
With this thought, he didn’t hesitate and took the road directly into the mountains!
Ten minutes later, Ling Feng had entered the mountains, where the snow hadn’t melted yet, and everything was covered in a pristine white blanket.
His eyes cautiously scanned the area for the tents the man had mentioned, but he saw nothing.
Just when he thought he might have been fooled, a cold voice suddenly asked from ahead, "What are you doing?"
Ling Feng was startled and only then noticed a person in white clothing behind a pile of snow, blending perfectly with the snowy backdrop; without looking carefully, one would not have noticed him!
He pretended to be scared and clutched his chest, saying, "You scared me to death! What are you doing, scaring people in broad daylight?"
"I’m asking you, what are you doing here!" the man’s voice was cold and insistent.
"Me? I’m setting snares for rabbits. How about you?" Ling Feng smiled and continued walking.
The man looked at him with suspicion, "Setting snares? Then why are you empty-handed?"
"The snares are all set. Today I came to check if there was any catch!" Ling Feng spread his hands.
Seemingly believing his words, the man nodded and turned to leave.
Ling Feng, of course, wouldn’t let him go so easily and asked, "And what are you doing here?"
"None of your business!"
The man didn’t look back and after a few zigzags, disappeared into a big snowdrift at the foot of a mountain.
It was only then that Ling Feng realized that the snowdrift was actually a tent, covered with snow. At first glance, it looked just like undisturbed snow!
