Chapter 341: Chapter 341 Relationship Transformation

Li Yun dared not look into Ling Feng’s eyes and bit her lip, her head bowed.

The two had originally been like water and fire, incompatible with each other, until things changed last night.

Before that, she had never imagined she would have a face-to-face conversation with Ling Feng, nor had she thought she would ask for his help.

That morning, someone from the Luo Family came to pick up Luo Nanlin, intending to take her with them, but for some reason, Li Yun said she’d stay to oversee the mining, choosing to remain.

Luo Nanlin had no idea she was going to ask Ling Feng for medicine and agreed without a second thought.

And right after he left, Li Yun decided to seek Ling Feng’s help.

Actually, it wasn’t necessary for her to come personally, sending someone would have done just the same.

But Li Yun thought, since she had gone to him last night, what if he became unhappy or overthought things if someone else came today?

Even now, she couldn’t figure out what exactly was going on in her mind!

However, there was a small flame burning at the bottom of her heart, scorching her heart from time to time, making her subconsciously perform a series of actions.

Following behind Ling Feng, they exited the room and walked into the wilderness. Walking through the vastness of the white snow, Li Yun listened to the crunching sound of her footsteps and his on the snow and suddenly became somewhat absent-minded.

For this reason, when Ling Feng stopped and looked back, she collided with him, completely unprepared!

That collision wasn’t a big deal, but then she slipped and was about to fall into the snowdrift beside her!

Seeing this, Ling Feng reacted quickly, grabbed her sleeve, and yanked her back to him.

The pull was a bit too strong and Li Yun ended up being dragged right into his embrace!

Even through the thick down jacket, Ling Feng could feel her racing heartbeat, and he chuckled, asking, "Got scared, huh? Don’t worry, even if you fall, it’s just onto the snow and won’t hurt at all."

Li Yun’s breathing was a bit rapid, and after taking a deep breath, she couldn’t help but ask, "Why did you stop walking?"

"Oh, I was about to ask you something, but who knew you’d be daydreaming?" Ling Feng said with a laugh.

Li Yun, speechless, realized she was still being held by him. She quickly struggled out of his embrace and then asked, "What did you want to ask?"

"Suddenly forgot."

Ling Feng shrugged and turned to continue walking.

Seeing this, Li Yun could only helplessly shake her head and followed him.

But this time she had learned her lesson; she didn’t follow too closely, keeping more than two meters distance to avoid another collision!

She was well past the age of springtime fantasies, but this time, Li Yun suddenly experienced the feeling of her heart racing, a sensation she had never tasted when she was younger, which inevitably caused some turmoil in her heart.

Not until they entered the vegetable greenhouse, and she saw the wildly growing array of vegetables and fruits, did her emotions calm down, after which she exclaimed, "My goodness, how did they grow like this?"

It was no wonder she was astonished; every vegetable here was significantly larger than those commonly seen in the market!

Even Ling Feng was taken aback for a moment before smiling wryly, "With the heavy snow and no one to manage, they just grew wild on their own!"

Some vine plants had taken over the structure of the greenhouse, large swathes of leaves blocking the light, making the inside somewhat dim. It was similar to the visibility in some dense forests in the Second Layer Heaven.

Bending over to look, Li Yun saw huge eggplants and tomatoes hanging from the branches. Ling Feng turned back and asked, "What vegetables do you want to eat?"

"Anything is fine, just pick a few..."

Li Yun eyed the lush, tempting vegetables, actually a bit greedy.

But facing Ling Feng, she could hardly say she wanted to try every single one, so she had to respond like this.

"Then don’t just stand around, help me pick them."

Ling Feng smiled, dropped his bag, and crawled in.

"How on earth were these grown, to all be so big?"

With a huge puzzle, Li Yun also crawled into the vegetable patch.

Half an hour later, the bag they brought was filled to the brim, so heavy that Li Yun couldn’t possibly lift it.

"Give it to me, you don’t have that much strength."

Ling Feng smiled and reached out to pick up the bag, casually slinging it over his shoulder.

As he walked out of the greenhouse, a flicker of admiration passed through Li Yun’s eyes, and she quickly followed out.

"You walk in front this time, so you don’t bump into anything again," Ling Feng said with a smile.

Li Yun gave him a sidelong glance and stepped forward to lead the way.

Carrying the heavy load of various fruits and vegetables, Ling Feng followed behind her, eyes inevitably wandering over her, thinking to himself, "Her beauty isn’t inferior to Zhang Lan at all, and her figure looks like it should be magnificent too. But being married to that old man Luo Nanlin, it’s truly a waste!"

Though his thoughts judged her from head to toe, Ling Feng harbored no improper thoughts towards her. His willingness to help stemmed purely from machismo, believing that though there had been past grievances, she was still a woman, after all. He couldn’t just stand by and watch her in dire straits, could he?

The two walked back in silence until they reached the house. Ling Feng first placed the vegetables into the snowmobile’s cargo hold, then said, "You obviously can’t carry it. I’ll be the good guy to the end and give you another lift."

"Okay, thank you," she said.

Ling Feng smiled, went back into the house, and brought out two more bags to put on the vehicle.

Once Li Yun was on the bike, he didn’t rush to start the engine but couldn’t help asking, "Would it be difficult for you if I asked you something about the Luo Family right now?"

"This..."

Hearing her hesitation, Ling Feng didn’t press further after smiling and started the motorbike towards the mountains.

Soon, they arrived at the destination. He unloaded everything at the entrance of the mobile home, and as he turned to leave, Li Yun suddenly asked, "Won’t you come in and sit for a bit?"

"Is it appropriate? If the miners see, won’t they get the wrong idea?" Ling Feng asked.

Li Yun blushed, "He, they’ve all gone down to the mining tunnels and won’t come out until it gets dark...."

"Oh, in that case, sure!"

Ling Feng didn’t hesitate anymore, turned back to the entrance, and carried everything inside.

This room was the same one Luo Nanlin had previously lain in, sparse and nearly empty with just a few simple necessities.

Having a look around, Ling Feng said with a smile, "This is rather humble; you have indeed suffered."

"We were planning to bring some living facilities, but the heavy snow trapped us on the road."

As she spoke, Li Yun swiftly brought over a cup of hot water and handed it to Ling Feng.

Ling Feng wasn’t thirsty, but he took it anyway.

Li Yun looked at him and asked from her seat across, "What did you want to ask me just now?"

"I don’t want to ask anymore. It seemed like you were in a tough spot. If I asked, wouldn’t that be like taking advantage of my position?" Ling Feng said with a smile.

Li Yun started, gave him a deep look, and pursed her lips: "I can’t discuss the Luo Family’s secrets, but I can talk about some things."
