The Greatest Village Doctor In The World-Chapter 254: Didn’t I Predict It?
The driver was startled and immediately defended himself, "How could that be possible? I don’t even know this person. Why would I kill him? It was really just my car that lost control!"
"That’s not for you to say. We have to wait for the investigation results to come out. Now, stop rambling and come with me!" the female officer said.
Though she was just a delicate-looking girl, with her police uniform on and an authoritative tone, the driver hesitated for a moment but then nodded.
Afterward, he looked at Ling Feng in disbelief. At the moment of the collision, he had seen very clearly. His truck, weighing over a dozen tons, was met head-on in a collision. Logically speaking, Ling Feng should have been killed on the spot!
How come, other than looking a bit pale, he showed no signs of injury? Was he even human?
Carrying immense doubts, he followed the policewoman and people like Ling Feng to the side of the police car.
By this time, traffic police had already received calls from onlookers and had rushed to handle the scene. The policewoman explained the situation, handed over the scene to them, and drove away from the site.
On the way to the police station, Ling Feng held Mo Jiaolan’s small hand, feeling that her palm was still somewhat damp, obviously still frightened.
After giving her a comforting look, Ling Feng whispered, "Don’t worry, how could such a petty trick kill me?" 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Mo Jiaolan bit her lip, glanced at him, and nodded subtly.
Ling Feng turned to the driver, "Kid, don’t say I didn’t give you a chance. Hurry up and tell me who hired you!"
"I don’t know what you’re talking about. The car really did lose control just now!" the driver said.
"Lying to a ghost? Did I not hear you slam the gas pedal to speed up?" Ling Feng rolled his eyes.
"The gas pedal was out of control!" the driver claimed innocently.
Ling Feng looked at him and said with a cold laugh, "You sure are stubborn, but let me remind you, don’t overestimate your importance. No matter what, you’re just someone’s errand boy. Now, I’m fine, but you’ve been caught. Be careful or your employer might silence you!"
Upon hearing these words, the driver suddenly shuddered and then said, "I, you, don’t talk nonsense!"
Hearing his nervous tone, even the policewoman driving felt that something was amiss.
However, she was not quite satisfied with what Ling Feng had said and coldly remarked, "Don’t spout nonsense. Who would dare to commit murder in a police station?"
Ling Feng had originally intended to scare the driver, and upon hearing the policewoman’s response, he let out a chuckle and said, "That’s not necessarily true. Only he knows how influential the person who hired him is."
As soon as he finished speaking, the driver’s face turned instantly pale!
Noticing this, Ling Feng immediately felt more certain in his heart; this kid was definitely being instructed by someone!
But who could it be?
Luo Qianyang?
The Lei father and son?
Impossible, unless they were crazy. Having just witnessed his capabilities, why would they use such low-end methods to deal with him if not out of madness?
While he was pondering, the car began to slow down and then prepared to turn into the police station’s yard across the street.
However, just at that moment, Ling Feng felt an inexplicable shiver, suddenly sensing a huge crisis!
Turning his head to look, he saw on the road to the right of the car, a larger cement mixer truck suddenly charging toward them!
"Not good! Be careful!"
After shouting, Ling Feng didn’t hesitate to hold Mo Jiaolan tightly, pulling her into a firm embrace in his arms!
"Bang!"
A huge collision sound ensued, and the police car was directly overturned, rolling twice on the road before coming to a stop.
The body of the car was already severely deformed, with Ling Feng and Mo Jiaolan squeezed into a narrow space.
"Jiaolan, are you okay?" Ling Feng felt dizzy and shook his head to clear it before asking.
"I, I’m fine," Mo Jiaolan whispered.
Fortunately, Ling Feng had held her, and his body had blocked the side that was hit by the collision; otherwise, she would have definitely been injured.
Ling Feng breathed a sigh of relief, channeled his inner energy, and the twisted metal of the car body made a series of creaking noises, immediately making the space much larger.
Glancing over, he saw the driver who had been sitting in the passenger seat not moving at all, with shattered glass from the window directly embedded into his neck, he was already dead.
The beautiful policewoman was lying on the airbag, her eyes tightly closed, her condition unknown.
Ling Feng quickly reached out to feel her neck and found that there was still a pulse, which made him breathe easier.
They were innocent to begin with, and if they had lost their lives because of him, it would have been somewhat unworthy.
Kicking open the damaged car door, Ling Feng first pulled Mo Jiaolan out, checked her over to make sure she was alright, and then relaxed. After that, he also pulled the policewoman out.
The girl was soft as if boneless and light in weight, carrying her across his chest, Ling Feng glanced at the cement mixer truck.
The driver’s seat was already empty, the driver obviously having run away.
Then, turning back to look at the truck driver from before, Ling Feng said with a tinge of speechlessness, "Didn’t I tell you? It’s a pity you can’t hear it now!"
After shaking his head helplessly, he carried the policewoman to the side of the road, feeling a bit confused.
"What do we do now?" Mo Jiaolan asked, somewhat anxiously.
Ling Feng thought for a moment and, seeing that the entrance to the police station was not far, said, "First, let’s take her back and go from there."
The violent car accident on the street had already caught the attention of passersby, and many onlookers had already flooded to the scene.
The police station had, of course, been alerted too, as a police car was involved, so several officers had already run over.
Carrying the policewoman in his arms, Ling Feng walked over to meet them, and one of the burly officers exclaimed, "Lin Xue!"
After shouting her name, the officer’s eyes widened and he stared at Ling Feng and demanded loudly, "What happened!"
"Got hit by a car, she’s fine, quickly find a place!" Ling Feng retorted.
"Find a place? My sister is like this, and you don’t rush to the hospital!" the officer bellowed.
Ling Feng didn’t hold back, and yelled back at him, "I’m a doctor, cut the crap!"
The officer was stunned by the outburst, as it was probably the first time someone had spoken to him that way since he started this job!
However, hearing that Ling Feng was a doctor, the officer did not say more but snatched Lin Xue from Ling Feng’s arms and hurried towards the entrance of the police station.
Ling Feng, watching his back, was somewhat speechless, picking up on the implication that the two were siblings.
Only the difference seemed a bit too big; Lin Xue was a delicate and pretty girl, while that officer was all beard and brawn.
Turning to look at Mo Jiaolan, Ling Feng took her small hand, "After we treat that cop, we’ll head back, there’s no need for them to solve the case now."
"The other party has been meticulous, even prepared a fallback plan. Finding out who the mastermind is might not be so easy," Mo Jiaolan said as they walked.
