The Greatest Village Doctor In The World-Chapter 1974 - 1973: Lost Signal
Landing on the Moon, Ling Feng also breathed a sigh of relief.
He got up intending to open the hatch and head to the giant black oblong object a few kilometers away. Suddenly, he recalled Li Tong’s words, so he returned to his seat.
Little Li knew what was going on, so she didn’t ask much, silently waiting.
Ling Feng extended his divine sense and was surprised to find that on this airless Moon, its effective range had expanded to eight kilometers!
So he immediately saw the detailed appearance of the black object opposite!
The surface was a layer of black, rock-like material, chaotic and pocked with craters.
However, upon closer inspection, Ling Feng realized it was a layer of metal shell, and the marks were formed by impacts from small stars or meteorites.
Judging by its appearance, it had endured long journeys through the cosmos, sometimes traveling at such speed that meteorite impacts created these deformities.
Ling Feng suddenly understood what was going on.
Then, he attempted to infiltrate his divine sense into the object’s interior, but much to his disappointment, it was impossible!
Feeling helpless, he resorted to using the intercom to ask the command center, "Nothing’s happening here, what should I do now?"
"You can exit!" Li Tong responded.
"Alright!"
Ling Feng nodded, turned to Little Li, "Let’s go check out what this thing is!"
"Okay!"
Little Li chuckled, quickly following suit.
The two opened the hatch, and Ling Feng leapt forward!
At this moment, he completely forgot Han Wancheng’s words and neglected that the gravity here is only one-sixth of Earth’s, so this leap immediately sent him more than a hundred meters into the air, feeling like he was flying!
When he landed, Ling Feng patted his helmet, thinking that he had been careless, as if he were on Earth!
Looking back, Little Li was nearby, and she remarked in slight exasperation, "Boss, what’s the hurry!"
"Hehe, indeed a bit impatient!"
Ling Feng chuckled, then advised, "Control your strength; don’t jump too fast. The gravity here is too low!"
Little Li rolled her eyes, muttering something quietly but not audibly.
Then, the two hopped across the wasteland, quickly arriving before the gigantic object.
The object was four to five hundred meters long and about a hundred meters high; standing below it, the two were like ants.
Looking up at the massive object, Little Li suddenly mused, "Boss, can your Space Bracelet fit this thing?"
"Uh, it’s a bit too big, my space is full; can’t fit it!" Ling Feng replied.
"Oh, alright."
Little Li said, then asked, "So what do we do now?"
"Logically, the operator inside should see us, why no reaction?"
Ling Feng remarked as he wrapped the entire spacecraft in his divine sense, hoping to find an entry passage.
Yet, disappointing, the object was entirely made of unknown metal, with no passages found.
While he was at a loss, Ling Feng suddenly sensed a peculiar energy that gave both him and Little Li a tingling sensation across their scalp even through their spacesuits, followed by their hair standing on end!
"What’s happening?"
Ling Feng exclaimed, turning to look at Little Li.
"No idea, just felt an energy field!"
Little Li replied, then pointed upwards, "Boss, look!"
...
...
At this time, in the command center on Earth, people were bewildered seeing a screen of darkness.
In an instant, the signal from the lander on the Moon’s surface suddenly disappeared!
At this crucial moment, the lander and the cameras on Ling Feng and Little Li had captured the enormous spacecraft, but the signal was lost, making it hard not to worry.
The command center personnel sprang into action, and the viewers anxiously watching the live broadcast outside felt their hearts sink!
Han Wancheng turned around, spotting Gu Li in the crowd, and solemnly asked, "What’s going on?"
"Not entirely sure, probably the spacecraft emitted interference waves, causing Earth not to receive the signal!"
Gu Li said, seeing everyone’s gaze on him, quickly added, "Don’t be anxious, everyone, this isn’t necessarily bad, perhaps they just don’t want the footage seen!"
"Are you sure?"
Zhang He, with furrowed brows, asked in a deep voice.
"I’m sure, Mr. Zhang, don’t worry, just wait!" Gu Li replied with a smile.
Seeing his calm demeanor, Zhang He squinted, "Ling Feng went to the Moon following your advice; if anything happens to him, you’re responsible!"
Gu Li nodded, "I understand and feel your concern, but trust me, the boss will absolutely be fine!"
At this moment, the command center’s screen shifted to the footage captured by the aerial relay station.
From a distance, the images weren’t very clear, and all they could see was the white dot representing the lander and the cigar-like spacecraft still parked on the Moon’s surface.
Seeing this, although Ling Feng’s whereabouts weren’t visible, everyone felt a sense of relief.
At least there wasn’t any combat, otherwise the scene wouldn’t be so quiet!
Soon after, the screen flashed, and the signal from the lander was restored!
Unfortunately, the cameras on Ling Feng and Little Li still showed no signal.
Moreover, from the lander’s camera, it was apparent the two were no longer standing at their previous location.
Many immediately inferred that Ling Feng and Little Li had entered the interior of the massive spacecraft.
However, with the signal disruption, how they accessed it remained unknown.
These guesses were correct; Ling Feng and Little Li indeed entered the spacecraft, now standing in a boundless, purely white space.
The two stood on the ground, with Ling Feng attempting to use his divine sense to survey the surroundings, only to find it blocked, completely unusable.
Left with no choice, he turned to look around, loudly asking, "Is anyone there?"
The sound didn’t echo, indicating the space was very large, possibly spanning the entire ship’s area.
After calling out without a response, Ling Feng continued to shout, "Is anyone there? Stop being so mysterious!"
"Shh!"
A sound came, like a door opening, followed by crisp footsteps, ta-da-da, ta-da-da! 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Ling Feng’s heart skipped a beat, suddenly aware of something.
Shortly after, he saw over a dozen hazy figures walking toward them.
When he clearly saw them, Ling Feng realized indeed, the space had air, as the individuals weren’t wearing any protective gear!
