The Grants: Choosing One Between The Two-Chapter 92: Yvette Aston Has Returned for Revenge
Yvette didn’t say anything.
"Can you still trust the Grants? Don’t forget who put you in prison for five years."
On the other end of the phone, the man was a bit agitated.
Yvette was silent for a long time before speaking softly. "No matter what, he saved my life, more than once."
"Ha... just a common trick; you hold value for him against Melody Crowe and Jayden Grant." The man warned Yvette. "Don’t trust anyone from the Grant Family."
"This is my request, do not involve Ethan Grant." Yvette took a deep breath, trying to warn the other party.
"Haha..." The other party laughed, it took a while before speaking. "Alright. It’s rare for you to ask me."
...
Grant Group, President’s office.
"Mr. Grant, did you see the news? I don’t know who’s deliberately steering public opinion, but now everyone is scolding Jayden Grant as an illegitimate child, Melody Crowe as a mistress climbing up, Yvette can’t have that kind of ability, can she?" Christopher Carter entered the office, speaking excitedly.
But on second thought, Christopher felt a bit worried. "Mr. Grant... this isn’t your doing, right?"
Ethan Grant just had him post the video of Jayden Grant fighting online.
Along with the bar fights Jayden had years ago being dug up again, it quickly became a hot search topic.
Now Grant Group is also caught in the middle of the storm.
In fact, dealing with Jayden Grant was risky for Ethan, because they were all Grants, sharing both glory and failure.
But Ethan still agreed with Yvette.
"These days, Melody Crowe hasn’t been causing trouble for Yvette?" Ethan tossed the document in his hand onto the desk. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"Melody doesn’t even dare to leave the house now, let alone dare to." Christopher smirked, Melody has always painted herself as an upper-class lady, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t change the fact that she was a mistress who wrecked someone’s family.
"But, Mr. Grant found several bodyguards who were involved." Christopher spoke quietly.
Arthur intended to have someone else take the blame.
"All arranged?" Ethan raised an eyebrow.
Christopher nodded, taking a deep breath. "Do you really intend for Jayden to stay inside?"
Ethan anticipated Arthur would find bodyguards to take the blame and had already gotten to those bodyguards ahead of time so they wouldn’t dare easily take the blame for Jayden.
After all, they all have families.
"Of course not, I’m waiting for Arthur to come plead with me." Ethan leaned back in his chair, fingers gently tapping on the table.
Melody is currently wrapped up in public opinion and doesn’t dare act recklessly, Arthur finds no way to have others take the blame, then there’s only one road left, that’s Yvette.
Glancing at the time, Ethan stood up. "To the hospital."
Arthur has no solution left, he will definitely send someone from the Aston Family to trouble Yvette.
...
Meridia Hospital.
Yvette leaned against the headboard, making a call to Caden Summers.
Summers is already attending school regularly, no one dares to bother Summers at the school, the teachers and the principal even personally apologized.
Moreover, Caden’s boss seems to be very nice, actually went to the school personally to see Summers, and in front of all the teachers and kids, hugged Summers and kissed him several times.
Because of this, the people at the school really care about Summers now.
The Lockwood Family might not compare to the Grants in Meridia, but Michelle Lockwood is an exception.
Michelle Lockwood’s ex-husband is supposedly the richest overseas Chinese of M nationality, rumored to be a very dangerous family.
"Yvette, you sure have some skills."
The hospital room door was pushed open, May Kendrick and George Aston came personally.
Stellan was also following behind, his expression wasn’t great.
Yvette had already guessed, May and George would come to ’persuade’ her.
"You’re the real talent here, getting out of prison to take revenge? Retaliating against the Grant Family for suing you for extortion those years ago?" May elegantly sat on the sofa, voice low.
George’s face was also heavy. "Withdraw the case quickly, don’t play these tricks, and also withdraw the case from Claudia too, apologize to the Bell Family and the Grant Family!"
George commanded.
Yvette only felt her eyes burning, held back the haze and smiled wryly. "Mr. Aston, in what capacity are you ordering me?"
As a father?
Haven’t we already severed all ties?
"The Aston Family raised you for twenty years!" George slapped the table fiercely, his anger palpable. "I originally thought if you obediently agreed to donate a kidney to Charlotte, I’d let you go, never thought you’d be so ungrateful, your ambition is too great!"
Yvette’s fingers clutched her clothes tightly, looked up at George. "The Aston Family... raised me for twenty years, wrongfully imprisoned me for five years, had Stellan dump me on a stranger’s bed, ruined my later years, is that not enough, is my life also needed?"
What had she done wrong?
Stellan’s face turned pale, instinctively looked up at Yvette. "I didn’t..."
Yvette let out a sarcastic laugh. "Wasn’t it you who brought Charlotte and Jayden to catch me cheating? You didn’t... even if you weren’t the mastermind, when I was crying and calling for help, wasn’t that brother of mine not saving me?"
Brother, the term was truly laughable.
Six years ago, she was drugged, thrown groggily into an unfamiliar room, to stay awake, she used glass shards to cut her legs, desperately banging the door for help.
Stellan was just outside the door.
Perhaps feeling guilty, Stellan’s breathing tightened, hands clenched tightly, he lowered his head without refuting.
He was indeed outside the door back then.
He not only didn’t save Yvette, but also called Charlotte to bring Jayden over to ’catch her cheating’.
He thought, as long as Jayden misunderstood, the engagement with the Grant Family would fall through, and Jayden would return to his sister, Charlotte.
Jayden would break up with Yvette, cancel their engagement.
But he didn’t expect the media to come too...
Ruining Yvette’s entire life.
And he never expected Yvette would end up pregnant because of that night.
And insisted on giving birth to that bastard child.
He had regrets, he’d tried persuading Yvette to abort the child, wanted to hide her away, at least for the rest of her life he could ensure she would be well provided for.
But Yvette refused to abort the child, it was her choice to keep it.
"So, you’re really bent on revenge, starting your vengeance against us?" May sneered, glaring at Stellan. "Stellan, get out."
Stellan didn’t want to leave, he feared May would do something to Yvette...
They’d tormented Yvette enough.
To have tortured Yvette to such an extent, was enough.
"Get out!" May stood up, glaring at Stellan with intense anger. "I’ve said it many times, she’s not your sister, your sister was ruined to this extent by them! Charlotte’s life was ruined by them, she’s better off dead!"
May truly hated Yvette.
Yvette knew it.
Slowly she released her fingers, spoke bitterly. "I won’t withdraw the case, Claudia won’t let me go, Jayden won’t let me go either."
"Yvette, you’re courting death." George sighed.
With Yvette’s capabilities, to think about shaking the foundations of the major families in Meridia? She’s delusional.
"With my health, making me donate a kidney, you’re already pushing me to die." Yvette’s voice trembled. "I know I owe the Aston Family, all these years I thought I had paid enough."
If not for Summers, she wouldn’t even care if she were to die, but with Summers, she couldn’t die yet.
"Charlotte’s condition is worsening, her depression courtesy of you all, is it enough? You’re dreaming." May’s emotions were agitated. "Yvette, you owe us for the rest of your life."
Yvette let out a numb laugh.
She also wanted to give her life to the Aston Family.
Death was, in fact, liberation for her.
To be forever freed from this guilt.
But she wanted to see Summers grow up.
Anyway, with her body, she wouldn’t live much longer.
