Chapter 516: 516

A loud crack rang out like glass breaking across the sky. The ground split. The palace ruins shook violently. The domain covering the area trembled and broke apart in pieces.

The Demi-God moved as if to stop it, but the closer he got, the louder his instincts screamed. He felt real danger and stepped back instead.

The domain shattered.

And it wasn’t even a second the slash was executed when a cold, rough voice echoed through the broken space.

"So this is where you all were hiding. No wonder I could not feel what happened."

A giant hand of energy tore open the remains of the domain. The space split, and a figure stepped through.

His body looked thin, almost frail, but his presence filled the sky. A deep aura surrounded him, heavy and calm, like a quiet sea that hid storms beneath.

Adele, Rein, and even the Demi-God stared, their eyes wide.

"RAMOS VEYDRIN!"

Ramos floated in the air, his expression cold and unreadable.

Kael let out a harsh laugh. "Old man, you are really a piece of shit."

He wiped blood from his mouth and smirked. "You could not even sense such a small thing. You are truly useless."

Ramos did not answer. His eyes only moved slightly, and the pressure in the air grew heavier.

"Watch this," Ramos shouted as his body moved.

The moment the words left his mouth, the space around him shattered with a sound like a mountain splitting in two. He vanished from where he stood and reappeared right in front of the Abyssal Demi-God.

There was no warning.

A colossal hand made of dense bluish energy formed instantly and shot forward, clamping straight toward the Demi-God’s throat.

The Demi-God’s eyes flashed with fury.

"Did you really think of me as some cannon fodder or what?" he roared.

Dark power surged from his body as he struck back. His arm swelled with abyssal force, and he slammed it forward.

BOOOOOOM!

The clash was brutal. The impact crushed the air itself. The remaining roof of the palace was torn free and sent spinning into the sky like a discarded coin. Stone blocks shattered and rained down, and the ground split with deep cracks.

They collided again.

And again.

Each blow sounded like thunder crashing inside a cave. Shockwaves rolled outward, flattening broken walls and grinding debris into dust.

Ramos twisted mid-air and drove a knee into the Demi-God’s chest. The Demi-God answered with an elbow strike and result sent the Demi God skidding across the air itself.

BOOOOOOM!

With a roar that displaced the clouds, Ramos surged upward. He grabbed the Demi-God and dragged him into the sky.

SWWOOOSH!

Their figures vanished into the clouds, leaving only the echo of their impacts behind. The sky flashed again and again as their battle continued above, far from the ruins and the mortals below.

Back on the ground, dust and smoke swallowed everything.

Kael swept his hand forward, tearing the smoke apart with raw force. His vision cleared, and his eyes locked onto Adele.

He wiped a streak of crimson from his jaw and smiled.

"My dear lovely sister," Kael said calmly, "you finally have the chance to get rid of me. So shall we dance?"

Adele did not reply.

She moved.

Her motion was smooth and terrifying, like flowing water turned into steel. Her sword did not swing toward him. Instead, it cut through the air itself, commanding it.

"Die in," she hissed.

She flicked her blade in a tight circle.

Kael lunged forward, his heavy sword held low. Halfway through his stride, the world broke.

The air around his head vanished.

A vacuum.

Kael’s chest tightened instantly. His lungs burned as he tried to inhale, but there was nothing to breathe. His vision blurred at the edges.

"Damn it," he thought.

She really had grown much stronger after reaching SSS rank.

Kael forced his aura outward, shaping it into a thin, isolated space around his head. It was unstable, but it bought him moments. He held his breath and braced himself.

Then the hit came.

Adele slammed her palm forward.

The compressed air she had been holding back exploded outward. It struck Kael like a solid wall. His body was thrown backward, smashing through a stone pillar.

BOOOOOOM!

Stones shattered around him.

"Is that all?" Adele’s voice drifted through the raging wind, calm and mocking.

She was already moving again, leaping through the air. Her sword glowed with pale green light as she descended, aiming to skewer him while he struggled for breath.

Kael groaned and rolled, barely pulling himself free from the rubble. His lungs screamed as he sucked in air greedily.

Before he could fully recover, the world around him began to howl.

The winds churned violently. Walls cracked. Floors peeled apart. The entire hall started to break under the storm Adele was summoning.

She descended like a storm queen, hair and cloak whipping wildly, sword raised high.

Kael planted his heels into the broken ground and gripped his hilt with both hands. The air around his blade began to hiss and pop, flickering like a broken image.

"Dimensional Slash, second form," he said through clenched teeth.

He did not swing at her.

He slashed at the wind itself.

The blade cut forward, and a jagged black scar tore open in the air. The wind Adele was controlling did not resist.

It vanished.

It was swallowed.

The vacuum she had created flipped violently. The rift dragged everything toward it. Broken stones, shattered debris, and even Adele herself were pulled off balance.

"What—!" Adele gasped.

Her graceful flight turned into a desperate struggle. She stabbed her sword into a nearby wall, carving deep grooves as she fought against the pull.

BOOOOM!

Kael did not waste the chance. He surged forward, sword raised high.

Adele’s eyes widened. She yanked her blade free and crossed it defensively.

"Compress," she shouted.

The wind around them collapsed inward, squeezing into a single point between them. The pressure skyrocketed. The air screamed.

She thrust her hand forward.

"Explode!"

BOOOOOOM!

The compressed wind detonated with terrifying force. The blast tore through the hall, flattening what little remained. The ground shook violently, and the shockwave raced outward, ripping the ruins apart.

Both figures were thrown back again, disappearing into smoke and debris as the battle raged on.
