Alec sighed at the priest's attempt to use the kid as a hostage, thinking he was going to yield to his demands.

"Please let my son go, I have been loyal to the Sect since you arrived, I have even donated blood to the Sect, I am a loyal believer of the sect, why do you have to take my son hostage?" The mother of the boy pleaded as tears rolled down her eyes.

She hugged one of the Priest legs, only to be yanked off as he kicked her away, acting irritated by her touch.

BANG!

But that little moment of distraction was all Alec needed to send in a Terra bullet at him.

Since it was his earth innate ability, it had almost zero casting time and was fast to emerge.

The reinforced Earth bullet was shot at such a high speed till it found itself lodged into the shoulder of the priest who was still holding the boy.

"Ahh!" The priest shouted in pain as he watched a bullet pass through his right shoulder, breaking his shoulder bone.

Before he could raise his head up, he realized the child was already out of his captive.

As Alec dragged the small boy with one hand and placed the second hand on him,

[> Low Tier Spell – Gravity Surge <]

He released a surge of gravity energy with his second hand as it knocked the Priest back until he slammed his back on one of the city lord's gates as his body slid down slowly.

The residents of the city stood rooted, not knowing what to say or do.

The person they supported just performed an act they never would have expected, while the one they condemned had helped to rescue the small boy the priest had held hostage.

The mother of the small boy hugged her son as tears rolled down her eyes, she looked at Alec and thanked him.

But his mind wandered to how she had been rude to him earlier, he realized that she must have acted that way in the moment because her son was involved.

It was quite easy to see just how emotional she gets when her child is involved in a situation.

Alec then turned towards the Priest, who had tried to sneak away when no one was looking, but thankfully Legion had been nearby and placed his laser spear tip at the priest's nape.

The priest stood rooted to the ground, his right hand dripping with blood as it just wobbled down as he was trying to hold it in place with his good hand.

"Listen to me clearly, this is a warning to you, you will go back now and tell whoever is your boss that I give him three days to withdraw all operation from this region not only this city, or I will be coming for his head, and your too, tell him, that i am Commander Alec from the War God Mage Academy,"

Alec said as Legion finally allowed the priest to go with a flick of his laser spear, slapping his face and burning a part of it, the Priest groaned and ran out as the residents all dispersed from the city lord's front gate,

The city lord walked over to Alec and said,

"You had him just now and could have killed him, why did you let him go?"

"He is nothing but a small fish in the grand scale of things. I let him go so he could go and inform his boss, me giving the boss three days was so he could gather all his powerhouses in one spot so that I could take them all out at once as there is no way the Evil Sect would leave without a fight,"

Alec said with a calm face that made the city lord wonder how he could be so young and still speak of killing others so easily.

As the priest ran deep into the temple, he wrote a letter and sent it using a demonic messaging bird, the moment the bird flew away, the priest's smile turned into a confident one.

"Just you wait, Alec of the War God Mage Academy, i don't need three days, just one day, and you will be done when all the branches of the evil Sect in this region flood in here to take care of you," the priest murmured to himself.

#Back To Arthur

Meanwhile, Arthur stood up from the damaged carriage, his body scattered, his ten squad members all looked at him, seeing how deformed his right hand and stomach were after taking the full attack of the Tier 3 bandit without defending at all.

"That was fun, well, your turn is over, now it's my turn!" Arthur said as his deformed hand started moving back into place, slowly but surely recovering.

The Tier 3 bandit looked at Arthur in surprise, he had been the leader of the bandit group for so long, but he never fought from the front, always hiding among the crowd and letting his younger brother lead.

That's why the academy had the picture of his brother as the leader of the bandit group; they had absolutely no information about him.

He was just a Tier 2 Mage leader when he had been lucky to break through after a successful operation.

He had only intervened now because it seemed his brother was going to die at the hands of Arthur.

He had witnessed many things in his line of work, but nothing like what was happening to Arthur at that moment.

After thirty seconds, Arthur's hand was back in place, and he had his playful smile back on his face as he summoned his bronze golem.

Although the golem was now at the peak of the Tier 1 realm, Arthur was unaware of how to improve its level.

He had never taken his golem knowledge classes seriously after learning how to create one.

While the golem might not be able to fight his opponent on its own, when merged together, Arthur gained enough power to attack without worrying about defending.

[> Golem Techniques – Merge <]

The moment these words left Arthur's mouth, the bronze golem split into multiple parts, levitating towards him before assembling back on his body.

Covered completely in bronze armor, even his head was concealed with a Bronze face mask and head helmet, If Alec were there, he would probably call this armoured version of him a junior Iron Man without the blasters.

"Second round," Arthur said, catching the Tier 3 bandit Mage off guard as he squatted before pushing himself off to his location, using the momentum from his legs to send his right fist forward.

Despite being caught off guard by Arthur's quick recovery, the Tier 3 bandit managed to mount a defense by using one of his hands to block the right punch thrown by Arthur.

However, Arthur then head-butted him, causing the bandit to stagger, moving in swiftly, Arthur delivered a series of rapid punches to the bandit, causing blood to drip from the bandit's chest as he had not been wearing any armor.

Arthur had made his gauntlets spiky, allowing him to inflict more damage with his strikes.

Another punch landed on Arthur, but this time, with his entire body covered in bronze armor, he was able to withstand the blow without being thrown back.

The two of them began exchanging punches, with the bandit quickly accumulating wounds as blood was gushing out from his body.

Feeling the effects of blood loss, the bandit feared he might pass out before Arthur's onslaught.

Arthur had transformed the spikes on his gauntlets into three short blades resembling those of Wolverine from the X-Men movie, a stunt he had learned from Alec, who had introduced him to the world of Marvel heroes, all he did was integrate it in his battle skills.

The bandit was astonished that Arthur, only a Tier 2 Mage, could keep up with him.

But he already realised his impending defeat, as he felt his vision blurring as he collapsed unconscious to the ground.

Leaving the Panting, Arthur who let out a triumphant scream as his helmet reverted back, revealing his blood-covered face.

At that moment, unbeknownst to him, his badge underwent a transformation, changing colour to a crimson hue, signifying his promotion to the rank of sergeant for defeating a Tier 3 Mage.
