THE FORGOTTEN HEIRESS-Chapter 67: Qualify As A Miracle Doctor

She hurried to the bathroom to take her bath, leaving the two kids staring at her with baffled expressions on their faces.

In less than thirty minutes they were already headed to school.

They didn’t talk much on the way but the atmosphere was harmonious. And of course Elvis did not forget to praise the gigantic tall Hudson Corporations’ building when they passed by it.

When they got to school, Kathleen escorted them to where a teacher was waiting to receive them.

Before handing them over to the teacher, she crouched down to their level and looked from one child to the other. "Be good and study hard. I’ll come pick you up in the evening."

"Yeah, yeah." Eleanor bobbed her head in understanding.

Elvis mouthed a "No worries, mummy."

Before releasing them to the teacher, she gave each of them a peck.

"Bye mummy," waved the children as they followed the teacher to their class.

After dropping them off at school, Kathleen headed to Wyatt Corporations for a meeting with the executives.

In the blink of an eye, it was weekend and Kathleen had to commence treatment for Old Mrs Hudson.

She got to the manor and like the previous time she came, she wasn’t stopped at the gate.

However, the person that received her this time around, was Dr Sullivan who had arrived earlier to assist and also garner more experience from her.

"Where is the master of the house?"

Dr Sullivan saw from the way her eyes darted around the place, that she was looking for President Hudson.

"He is not here yet. I thought you informed him that you’ll be coming earlier than the scheduled time?"

’Why do you feel a sense of disappointment at his absence when you planned this yourself?’ Kathleen scolded herself inwardly.

Under the guise of reminding her of the appointment with his grandmother, Shawn had contacted her several times in the course of the week.

However, she didn’t need any reminders, considering the fact that she has been keeping tabs on Old Mrs Hudson’s condition, thanks to Dr Sullivan and the nutritionist she had requested to be sent to Hudson Manor.

Also, nothing unusual had happened within the company that would have distracted her.

Although Kathleen knew the true reason behind Shawn’s constant reminders, she didn’t expose him. On several occasions, she had to resist the urge of temporarily blocking his line.

For Pete’s sake, which serious doctor will forget such an important appointment?

She was meant to come in the evening today as per her arrangement with Shawn and Dr Sullivan, but as retribution for pestering her life the entire week, she chose a time when she was certain Shawn wouldn’t be free to show up.

"Let me give him a call then." Dr Sullivan pulled out his phone and was going to dial Shawn’s number but was stopped by Kathleen’s hand that suddenly appeared on his.

"Forget it."

Dr Sullivan’s eyebrow quirked up. Even Kathleen was surprised at her own actions and quickly withdrew her hand. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"What I mean is, he doesn’t have anything to do with the treatment, so whether he is here or not doesn’t affect anything."

"Oh." Dr Sullivan said. He didn’t read much meaning to her explanation. "Let’s go in then. Everything is ready."

Once again Dr Sulivan was awed by Kathleen as he observed her for the first time treating a patient.

Kathleen delivered the therapy with calm concentration the entire time.

Her movements were fast, steady and precise as she inserted needle after needle into precise points on old Mrs Hudson’s body.

Dr. Sullivan had never seen anything like it.

As he continued to watch her insert the needles with competence and poise, the more certain he became that she could cure Old Mrs Hudson.

Occasionally, she would give brief orders when she required something passed to her, but most of the time she was quiet.

The process took about thirty minutes to complete during which Kathleen didn’t rest for a second.

Like she did the first time she came to treat old Mrs Hudson, after an hour, she removed the needles and by then the herbal medicine she had given to the nutritionist to heat up before she commenced treatment was ready.

Dr Sullivan stepped out to call in the nurses and nutritionist as they needed to be present to get Kathleen’s instructions.

But as soon as he came back into the room, his eyes widened in shock.

"God... goddess," he exclaimed.

’What! This is damned too fast to be true. Did I just see old Mrs Hudson’s eyes flicker? It’s been barely fifteen minutes since the needles were removed and they already have this result. Wow’

Kathleen, who was about to pour the medication into a glass cup, looked up and saw a bewildered Dr Sullivan.

She followed his pointed finger and saw Old Mrs Hudson’s eyes flickering open. In addition to that, she was also trying to sit up.

She wasn’t surprised as she had expected this result.

But the same could not be said of the nutritionist and the nurses who have been with old Mrs Hudson for almost a week now.

They have never seen her make any sign of movement since they came to take care of her.

It was incredible that within an hour after the treatment she had already opened her eyes and even moved her hands. And all thanks to this gorgeous doctor whom they were meeting for the first time.

When they were sent to the Hudson manor to take care of Old Mrs Hudson, they were only told that a specially skilled doctor will be coming over to treat her during the weekend.

They never expected the young gorgeous beauty that followed Dr Sullivan into old Mrs Hudson’s room was the doctor they were waiting for, and seeing the instant result after her treatment was way beyond their imaginations.

Who is this outstanding doctor? If it were in the olden days she would definitely qualify as a miracle doctor.
