The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 78: The Taste he wanted Twice.
She’s never been so mortified and embarrassed before. The best thing at that moment was for the earth to open up and swallow her.
Ever since she woke up in Liam’s room, she’s been desperate to recall everything that happened. And now, she wished she hadn’t. She dearly wished she didn’t.
Her memories were killing her. She could believe she had done and said those things with her own mouth.
She could hear her drunken voice in her head right now.
’I need a shower’
’Have you showered? We can shower together’
’Could you help me take off my clothes?’
’I can’t find my boobs! Wow! You found them!’
She recalled the bathroom incident too, and physically flinched at herself for puking into his mouth.
But she wasn’t done.
More memories rushed in.
When she had woken up and worn his clothes, determined to get to class. How she had gotten lost and had run into Jeremy and Finn making out - darn it, she knew there was something she’d wanted to tell Eric.
She also recalled walking with Aurelius holding her hand, and how she had run into William.
And then...Oh no, she remembered everything that happened after that. As she recalled pulling his ears and all, she almost fainted right there.
Theo wanted nothing more than to dive into the deepest part of the earth and negotiate with the universe to undo everything that happened while she was drunk.
"Oh my God," She pressed her palm over her mouth, humiliation making her body tremble, "Oh, dear Moon Goddess,"
What really shook her to the core was that he knew.
He knows who she truly is. There was not a single doubt about that in her mind now. And he didn’t just realise it in the shower, he already knew about her secret since before that.
She had been right. He had seen through her like she was transparent from the moment she walked into the Commandant’s office.
"Do you remember now?" He asked.
She couldn’t look at him again. She was avoiding eye contact at all costs.
"Seems like you do,"
She bit her lips till she almost drew blood, "Professor...," She didn’t even know where to start from, "I am so sorry for...for everything. I didn’t mean to...,"
"You didn’t mean to what? To vomit inside my mouth?"
She cringed, her heart squeezing with even more mortification as the memories flashed right before her eyes again.
"To knock me in the head, over and over again? To pull my ears like I was a pup? Or are you sorry for leaving the house when I repeatedly told you not to? Or are you sorry for...," He stepped even closer, "Kissing me, Venom?"
She finally peeked up at him, "For everything. I’m sorry for everything," She mewled.
Theo’s throat closed up. She couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think, couldn’t survive under the weight of this humiliation,
"I didn’t mean any of it. I swear," She added.
"You didn’t mean any of it?" he repeated softly.
Theo nodded quickly. Too quickly.
A muscle in his jaw ticked, "Interesting," he murmured, stepping even closer. His shadow fell over her, forcing her head to tilt up if she wanted to see him.
She didn’t. She absolutely did not want to.
Her gaze stayed glued to his shirt, the floor, the wall, anywhere but his eyes.
"Look at me, Venom,"
Her body reacted before her mind could object, and her eyes met his.
Bad idea.
Very bad idea.
Because he was looking at her like he could see every lie she’d ever tried to hide, like he could hear the truth screaming inside her even when she swallowed it down. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"What exactly didn’t you mean?" he asked, his voice calm in that terrifying way.
Theo clenched her shaking hands, "A-All of it. Everything I said. Everything I did,"
He hummed. He wasn’t convinced, not even in the slightest.
"Everything?" he echoed.
She nodded again, her cheeks burning and her heart clawing against her ribs like an animal trying to escape.
His eyes narrowed just slightly, "So you didn’t mean it when you asked me to shower with you?"
Her soul left her body.
"I was drunk," she whispered.
"And when you begged me to help you undress?"
Her face flamed.
"And when you sniffed my clothes and told me..." he leaned down, his voice a low rasp "—that my clothes smell delicious?"
Theo buried her face in her hands, trembling, "Professor, please—"
"And when you kissed me?"
She froze solid.
Her lips tingled like the memory was happening again. His lips against hers. She could feel it properly now, like it only happened a second ago.
"I didn’t know what I was doing," she croaked.
Sylas tilted his head, "No?" he murmured, "Then let me ask you something else,"
Theo hesitated, dread pooling in her stomach.
"What do you think about me as a person?"
She blinked, "Pardon?"
"Answer the Question,"
She swallowed again, "I think you’re... straightforward and you’re uhmm, you’re a wonderful person...,"
Oh! The liessss!
"Really?" He dragged the words, "Because, according to you that day, you said I was a Cold-blooded demon who thinks the world revolves around my feet. You also said that I was harsh, strict, never take NO for an answer and I could stare death into someone’s eyes...and that I’m too calm for my own good,"
Theo stopped breathing, and her drunken voice echoed mercilessly in her head ’Just because you’re Sylas Veylor doesn’t give you the right to push me around, or I’m gonna tear off these cheeks, you hear me? You’re a Cold-blooded demon...,’
Her knees weakened.
"I...I... didn’t...,"
"You didn’t mean that either?" He asked quietly
She shook her head, barely able to speak, "I didn’t mean a word! I didn’t...,"
"That’s not acceptable, Venom," He said.
"What?" She paused, "What do you mean?"
"It means there are some...things you should have meant. Or rather, things I wanted you to mean,"
Her breath hitched, and she held his gaze, "Like...what?"
His eyes bore into hers, and she gripped the edge of her shirt and her throat went dry, "Like the fact that you think I smell delicious, or that you asked me to take a shower with you,"
A wreck shot down her spine, and her knees buckled hard. She was forced to step back and catch her balance, but he didn’t give her the chance to breathe, with his large, towering frame already swallowing her again.
Heavens...
"Or that we kissed," he added.
She shivered from head to toe.
Especially when he gripped her chin gently.
"And do you know exactly what I hate about that kiss? It’s the fact that you didn’t give me a second to savour it before you threw up,"
Then, he leaned closer to her face, still holding her chin, his blue eyes now trembling with a look that seemed almost electric. His breathing came out slower and deeper, and the air around them condensed, intensifying like it was frostbitten with tension.
She was caught in the gravitational pull that was him, and her gaze flicked to his lips against her will, traitorously and helplessly. She immediately jerked her eyes back up, only to meet his again.
It was even colder.
His jaw flexed once, "And I know, Venom, that you also wish your lips had stayed on mine, just a little longer,"
She might have swallowed every drop of saliva left in her mouth at that moment.
Then, he leaned even closer till their noses brushed. His movements were painfully controlled, like he was fighting a battle he knew he couldn’t win, and his eyes darkened with hunger.
"Theodora...," He murmured, speaking her name like a warning and surrender at the same time.
Her last chance to pull away. To push him back.
She didn’t. She could not.
Because his breath was already shaky, inhaling her like he couldn’t stop himself.
Then, his lips touched hers.
