The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 114: The Reason I look like you
"Thad..." Theo took a step toward Thad.
He looked really tattered and barefoot, like someone who had been wandering lost for a very long time. His skin was pale, and his eyes held a look of suffering and pain.
But what really took her by shock...was their resemblance. He was the exact version of her male form, the only difference being that he was taller and more muscular.
But everything else was the same. Woah!
"Oh my God, I’m so glad to see you," She made to walk over to him, but he suddenly held out a hand and glared cautiously at her.
"Stay back," He warned, and took a step back, "Are you really my cousin? Are you really Theodora?" He asked, still inspecting her male form.
She instantly released herself, and her features transformed back to her real self.
Thad’s jaw almost touched the floor, then he released a soft gasp, "It’s...it’s really you,"
"Yeah, it’s me. What happened to you?" She asked, stopping.
"Did your father send you here? To talk to me?"
Her brows furrowed in confusion, "What do you mean by that? No one sent me!"
He observantly gave her a once-over, "I don’t believe you. You’re his daughter. He might have sent you to bring me back... Trick me somehow,"
"I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about," She said to him sincerely, "I swear to you. I’m just so glad you’re alright. You went missing for months!"
His brows creased, and he slowly let down his stretched arm, "Your...dad didn’t send you?"
"He didn’t," She replied, "What happened? Why do you think he sent me?"
He looked away from her and his hands curled into fists.
"Thad, talk to me!" She urged and took a step again toward him.
"I’m not sure if I really trust you," He said to her, and the way his eyes trembled with fear and alarm told her he had gone through a lot and had all his hackles up, "Just stay away from me,"
"What do I have to do to make you believe I wasn’t sent by anyone?!" She cried out, getting more worried and a little frustrated. Then, she groaned and took off her backpack, throwing it aside, hoping that would make him feel a little safer, "Look at me, the reason I looked like you a while ago was that I was also hiding. From my father...from...," She swallowed tightly, "From a lot of things, and I’m so glad to see you again. I’m so glad you’re alright,"
He stared at her intensely, wondering if he should believe her or not, "What about the guy?" He pointed in the direction of the cottage, "Who’s he? I saw you carry him all the way back,"
"That’s...my mate. He wasn’t feeling too well,"
"Werewolves don’t get sick,"
"It’s a long story," She said, "But please you have to believe me first. Whatever happened to you, I’m on your side and I promise you, no one sent me to you," Her eyes watered, "Please, Thad,"
It was hard to ignore the sincerity in her gaze. And her aura was exceptionally calm and open, overwhelmed with the need to cover the distance between them.
The moment he let his hands fall, Theo ran up to him and threw her arms around him. His tense shoulders sagged as her warmth spread through him, and he instantly hugged her back.
"I’m so glad you’re alright," She whispered softly.

The birds chirped above their heads, and the afternoon sun fell through the holes of the leaf blankets and branches.
Theo and Thad sat under the shade of the tree, while a fire burned a few steps away from them. They had caught some fish from the nearest stream and were roasting them at the moment.
She had given him her jacket to wear and watched him from the corner of her eye. He looked exhausted and tortured.
"What happened to you?" He beat her to the question first.
Where the hell was she supposed to start from? She didn’t want to drop the bomb immediately, but he was going to find out sooner or later, "I’m betrothed to Alpha Cain Pendragon,"
Thad paused.
For a long time. He blinked, then asked, "I’m not sure I heard you right,"
"I wish it wasn’t true either, trust me," She answered with another prayer in her heart that it really wasn’t, "But I still wake up every day and nothing has changed,"
"Are you serious?" He looked purely devastated, still expecting her to finally admit that she was joking.
"My Dad announced our upcoming marriage to him, after I defeated my brother in a tournament. That was the price he awarded me for being the winner. I don’t know why my father and the Moon Goddess hate me so badly!"
She looked at Thad, and he also saw the exhaustion and desperation in her eyes, "So I had to escape. I pretended to be you, and as you saw earlier I morphed into you, and went to Gravemont Academy,"
"W...what?" He looked mortified, "Did you just say... Gravemont? How the hell does that even happen? How on earth did you manage that?"
"With lots and lots of guts," She replied.
"I...have no words," He sighed, "I mean you’ve always been full of surprises even as kids, but this is just...this is on a whole new level,"
"All I’ve told you so far isn’t half as surprising as everything else that has happened to me," The wood crackled under the fire, and the scent of roasted fish drifted into the air, "There’s a lot more, so much more that I don’t even know where to start from,"
"Well, I’ve got all day. I don’t know about you,"
"Not exactly," She replied, "But I gotta ask you something important first,"
"What is it?" He looked at her.
"Are you...," She took a pause for a second, "Are you planning on returning to Gravemont now that you’re back?"
He didn’t even hesitate, "Yes, I’m definitely coming back to Gravemont. I have no other place to go right now,"
