The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 54: First Night, First Day.

Ethan’s fingers tapped on the large oak desk in his study, his expression showing how annoyed he was. How could his wife have a boyfriend? He could still picture Shikera’s facial expression when she told him that Leonard was her boyfriend.

"He’s my boyfriend..." She had said that with a beautiful smile on her face that he had to cut her off. Who knew if she was going to tell him when they met and how they started dating.

He knew Shikera enough to know that she could tell him that, considering how simple she was, if he hadn’t stopped her. He had merely kissed her on the lips, unlike the previous day when the kiss had been passionate, because he found it odd kissing a girl with a boyfriend. Why was he not even informed from the beginning?

Was it that her boyfriend couldn’t do everything he was doing now, and was that why Liam Anderson had not asked him to marry his daughter but had asked Ethan?

The door suddenly opened and Raymond walked in, while Ruthlyn and Enoch followed after him.

The last two wore serious expressions on their faces as if they were on their way to the battlefield, while Raymond wore a smile which was bright enough to irk Ethan’s already damaged mood.

"What’s the smile for?" Ethan questioned, as the smile fell from Raymond’s lips.

Ethan continued when he saw that they seemed ready for what he wanted to tell them as they had taken their seats wherever they liked.

"You all know whose birthday it is next week so I won’t say much. Mum wants to organize a small party which she insists we must all attend and which I know we all have to attend."

He glanced at their faces one by one Before continuing, "Enoch must be there because it’s his birthday; Ruthlyn, because she has to address the engagement matter on that day, and Raymond since he has to go with me," he glanced apologetically at Raymond. "Though I’m really sorry you have to work overtime, Ray."

Raymond shrugged, "I will have to go with Ruthlyn anyway so it isn’t much of an hassle."

As the discussion continued between Ethan and Raymond, the two whom they were talking about stayed silent, each of them absorbed in their respective thoughts which was actually the same.

The events of the day on which Ruthlyn met Enoch was what was replaying in both of their heads as of this moment. The day everything went wrong.

Four Years Ago.

Ruthlyn’s eyelids fluttered open as her hands pulled the sheets closer to wrap it around herself. Slipping her hand under the sheets, her hand touched her bare body and she shot up from her sleep, the drowsiness disappearing from her eyes immediately. She looked around the room and recognized it immediately as her room in MD’s house. Then why the heck was she undressed?!

As if to answer her question, a slight murmur arose from beneath the sheets beside Ruthlyn, prompting her to raise it immediately.

"WHAT THE F**K?!" She screamed inwardly at what she saw, barely managing to restrain herself by clamping her right hand over her own mouth. With her left hand, she pushed the body beside her to the floor.

"WHAT THE F**k?!" Enoch shouted, not bothering himself about the fact that he was shouting. All he wanted to know was who pushed him away from the bed and made him hit his a*s on the hard floor. Wait... Why was the fall hurting him this much?

His eyes trailed down his body and his eyes widened as he saw that he wasn’t wearing anything. He looked up to the person on the bed and his jaws fell, seeing her milky white shoulders which the sheets weren’t covering. What had he done?!

Slowly, he raised himself to kneel beside the bed, an apologetic look in his eyes.

"Did we...do it?" He asked. As much as he tried, he could not remember what happened the previous night so he could only ask.

"I...think so," Ruthlyn brought out her hand which had been marked in different places, from beneath the sheets and pointed at Enoch’s own body.

He followed her hand direction and looked down at his chest to see little nail marks. Even as a 20 year old boy that he was, he could tell what transpired between him and this girl...or woman, the previous night.

"I..." He stopped talking as the door swung open and his sister walked in, calling out someone’s name.

"Ruth..." His sister trailed off as soon as her eyes caught Enoch’s face and his bare upper body.

Noticing how Ruthlyn sat on the bed and how her brother was kneeling on the cold ground, Mignon didn’t need anyone to tell her what had happened here.

"...and Enoch?!" she continued, "You guys aren’t the least bit patient, are you?"

Ethan’s eyes opened to the grey ceiling, as a genuine smile rose on his lips. Nights without terrible dreams and morning without acute headaches were sure having their effect on him. He stood up from the couch, throwing the duvet on the bed before he walked out of the room.

Walking down the stairs, he was startled when he was pushed aside by a flurry of pink and brown that rushed past him. It was Shikera wearing a pink frilly dress and a crystal hairpin which pinned down her wavy brown hair which she let loose over her shoulders. She clearly looked like she was dressed to go out.

"Morning, Ethan. I’ve got to go somewhere real quick."

She didn’t bother waiting for his answer before running out the door, her hair flying after her.

Ethan took out his phone to text Raymond, "Find out where she’s rushing to."

The reply to his message came soon enough, and as he expected, Raymond was on it. He simply had to wait for a few minutes or an hour to get the result.
