The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 259: Guide.
"Leah or Mignon, whichever you are, are you ready to speak the truth now?"
Mignon scoffed, "I don’t remember telling you my name is Leah."
"Really? I didn’t realize I could only get that info from you. I mean, I found your hotel without problem but would find your name hard?"
"That’s true," Mignon nodded, shrugging indifferently. "Since you could find my name, what else do you want me to tell you?"
"You could start from the reason why you wore a mask to the hospital and when you were coming to the hotel. And why your friend wasn’t the only one with you. There was another woman, who is she?" Ethan asked. Since it was Raymond who had noticed that there was more than one person accompanying Mignon back to the hotel, Ethan decided to ask about it but didn’t think much of it.
"That woman? Oh... she’s my tour guide," Mignon laughed nervously, "And we were wearing masks because uhm, I remember a little about my past and uh...I think I used to wear that a lot. I’m not sure if it would be okay for a lot of people to see my face in the open so that’s why."
"She’s right," Ruthlyn spoke up. She was so used to speaking up for Mignon that she didn’t know when she backed up her words.
Mignon noticed that, staring at her with a confused gaze before going back to stare at Ethan.
"What else do you want to hear from me?"
"Everything," Ethan replied.

Alan carried both of his and Shikera’s backpack as the two walked up the paved road that lead from the beach to Grandma Cooper’s house.
"Do you think it’s okay that we left her like that? Will she be alright?" he asked for the umpteenth time since they left the hotel.
Shikera sighed, running her hand through her hair in frustration.
"Alan, you do know this is just a revised version of the same question you have been asking since earlier, right?" she questioned. Mignon hadn’t left with the DeLoachs the previous night when they were leaving, but had promised to see them the next day instead. After they left, she rushed to call Shikera to fill her in on what they had talked about and how incredibly suspicious Ethan was.
"I’m sorry, Kera. It’s just that I don’t know how to explain to Grandma Cooper when she asks about her."
"Alan, I can remember telling you I’ll do the explaining. You should have waited with Mignon if you knew you’d be this worried about her," Shikera stated. "Will you go home first or come with me?" she asked, when they passed Alan’s house without him making a move to leave.
He shook his head. "Grandma Cooper sent me on an errand and I must deliver even if it will make her angry," he replied.
The two got to the house at the end of the street, Shikera pulling out her key to insert in its hole. However, the door opened as she placed her hand on the knob.
"Uh? Didn’t she go fishing today?" Shikera muttered.
"That’s unusual. The others were on the beach," Alan pointed out.
"Maybe she forgot to lock the door then." Shikera pushed the door open wider and stepped inside, holding the door open for Alan to walk in. Silent murmurs echoed in the house which they had expected to be silent, from Grandma Cooper’s room in particular.
"She’s in?" Shikera cast a quick glance at Alan, her brows raised in surprise.
"In her room," Alan nodded. "You should go check what’s going on."
Shikera collected her backpack from Alan, and placed it on the chair, walking to Grandma Cooper’s room.
"I’m back, Grandma!" she yelled out loud, as she pushed open the door.
"Dr Langston? What are you doing here?"
Shikera’s eyes moved from the doctor who was sitting on the chair beside the bed, which Grandma Cooper was lying on. Her legs quickened towards the doctor, shock vividly expressed on her face.
"Dr Langston, what’s wrong?" she repeated.
"You’re back, Kera. You were gone for three days instead of two as your grandmother thought," Dr Langston noted, an exhausted smile on his face.
"Yeah, we encountered a bit of problem on the way," Shikera replied. Her loud voice hinted to Alan who was outside that there was something wrong in the room, so he went to join them.
"What’s the problem, Kera? Why’s Grandma Cooper lying on the bed?" he asked.
"Doctor Langston hasn’t told me yet," Shikera replied, staring earnestly at the doctor.
"Your Grandma hasn’t been able to stand since her fall before you guys left," Dr Langston informed.
Shikera was startled, and she did no good job in hiding it.
"What?! How is she feeling now?"
"Not better in any way. To say the truth, she’s getting worse as seconds pass," Dr Langston replied truthfully.
"You’re saying this in her presence? Even if she’s asleep—"
"She knows," Dr Langston cut in, "Grandma Cooper herself knows how she’s feeling so there’s no need for us to talk privately."
Shikera sighed. "Why didn’t you call us then? She has been staying alone at night; what if something worse had happened?" she asked.
"She asked me not to call anyone of you. You know how stubborn your grandmother is so it shouldn’t be a new thing. And about staying alone at night, the women take turns sleeping and taking care of her. It’s a normal thing to do if one of the women on the island falls sick so don’t think they found it bothersome."
"Oh my god, what do I do now? This is just—Dr Langston, what do you suggest we do? Is she to come to the hospital or what?" Shikera asked.
"She refused," Dr Langston replied. "It would be good if she comes so I’ve tried to persuade her for days now but she refused. Do you think you can try?"
"Yeah, I’ll try to make her come."
