The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 258: Meeting With Family.

Shikera gulped down the water in the glass, until it was completely empty before placing it back on her bedside table. Picking up the plastic bag which held the medications, she dumped it inside her luggage and fell back on the bed.

She planned to leave the city and return to the island the next day, after Ethan might have convinced Mignon to leave with him. She was still unsure though as no one had come to visit Mignon yet. Had Ethan really not noticed that the woman he met at the hospital was Mignon? Or was she the one who had guessed wrong that he would come to visit Mignon that day?

’I should go check on her,’ Shikera decided as she stood up to walk out of her room. Her phone in one hand, she used the other hand to pull the door open, only to close it almost immediately.

A familiar figure had run past her door, and she could hear a couple other footsteps approaching. As if that was not enough, the one who had run past her door shouted out to the others, whom Shikera could not see yet.

"Daddy! What door should I knock on?" It was Esther’s voice, Shikera noted. She had been right after all as not only did Ethan come, but he brought almost the whole family with him.

"Don’t knock on any," Ethan’s silent command came.

Shikera heard them walk past her door but could not hear anything after that. She knew they would be knocking on Mignon’s door by this time, and maybe the latter would have opened the door for them. She would not be able to hear what they were saying as the walls were soundproof.

Meanwhile, Mignon inhaled deeply as she pulled open the door from her own side. The first face which came into view was Esther’s, which she looked down on as if she had no idea who it was.

"Hi Mummy!"

"Hi...do I know you, Kiddo?"

The others came into view just then, a surprised look on all of their faces except one.

"Hello?" Mignon greeted, feigning confusion.

None of the people standing outside her door returned her greeting, as it seemed they were too shocked to see that she was alive and standing before them.

"Want to come in?" she asked, her gaze alternating between the faces of everyone of them.

"With pleasure," Ethan replied. Bending slightly to take Esther’s hand, he bypassed the others and walked into the room like it was a very normal thing to do.

He casually sat on the single couch on the room and lifted Esther to sit on his lap. He couldn’t care less if the others had to stand, or not.

By the door, Mignon asked again, "Aren’t you guys coming in?" Surprisingly, even though she knew from what Shikera told her that she had just two brothers, she still felt a sense of familiarity from the other man and woman standing with her other brother, whom she recognized from his semblance to Ethan.

"We will," Raymond replied. He was the first person to recover from the shock of seeing Mignon, and with a forced smile on his face, pulled Ruthlyn and Enoch with him as he entered the room. Ethan had taken the only chair so the rest of them had no place to sit.

Rushing towards the bedside table, Mignon cleared off the items on it and turned, "One of you can make do with this place while the others sit on the bed with me."

Without hesitation, Ruthlyn and Enoch sat on the bed, leaving Raymond to sit on the table beside the bed.

"Thanks for letting us in," he managed to mutter.

"My pleasure," Mignon smiled. Turning to Ethan who looked like and whom she already knew was the head of the group, she asked, "To what do I owe this visit?"

Ethan tore off his facemask from his face, before looking up to meet Mignon’s gaze.

"You know why we came," he stated emotionlessly.

"Pardon?" Mignon raised her brows. A strange emotion was beginning to rise within her as she stared at this young, well...he was older than her but still, this young man who seemed uncaring and looked as if he was forced to be here.

"What kind of woman opens the door for strangers who obviously do not look ordinary, to come into her hotel room?"

"A woman like mine, obviously," Mignon replied, pursing her lips challengingly. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

If Raymond, Ruthlyn, and Enoch had any previous doubts about the woman before them being Mignon, it had been dispelled now.

Mignon was the only one who could argue with Ethan and have a chance of winning. Or better said, she always pestered him until he got tired of the argument and surrendered to her. That was one power she had in her family that none of the others had.

"Where have you been?" Ethan switched topics immediately.

Mignon cast a sideways glance at Esther who was looking up at her with complete adoration in her eyes, and she smiled.

"Somewhere," she replied. "Who are you? And before you imply that I know, I only say you at the doctor’s place earlier today and hearing you call my real name, I could tell you are someone who knows something about me."

"What’s your real name?"

"Mignon, as I heard."

"And where’s your husband? You were with him at the doctor’s today."

"He’s not my husband, just a friend. And he went back to his home today."

"Then why did the doctor lie?"

"Not sure," Mignon felt like she was placed in a tight spot, "I uhm, lost my memories so I needed to visit the doctor to see the chances of regaining it. I’m not sure why the doctor lied to you though, but he also looked like he knew me."

Ethan chuckled lightly, a creepy smirk pulling at the sides of his lips.

"Leah or Mignon, whichever you are, are you ready to speak the truth now?"
