The Extra's Transcension-Chapter 92: Confession [1]
"What... what did you just say?!"
Lyrium blurted, his voice cracking slightly in disbelief.
The girl didn’t answer. Instead, she dropped the letter onto his desk and bolted toward the door, her long purple hair streaming behind her as she vanished from the classroom.
"Eh...?"
Lyrium muttered, sitting there frozen, staring at the paper as if it might suddenly explain itself. His jaw dropped, and his mind spun.
Ren, sitting beside him, leaned over and whispered with wide-eyed disbelief,
"Dude... she just asked you out... and ran?! Are you seriously just sitting there?"
Lyrium’s hands trembled slightly as he picked up the letter, still staring at it blankly.
"I... I don’t even know what to... what the hell is happening?!"
Behind him, Silas let out a soft chuckle, though there was a hint of concern in his eyes. Something about the girl seemed familiar.
"Wait... isn’t that the girl who just confessed to you... Maya Alexei?" he asked, voice calm but edged with curiosity.
Lyrium froze mid-breath, blinking.
"Who’s... Maya?"
Lily, leaning slightly toward him with a teasing grin, answered.
"Maya Alexei? She’s a third-year, and the vice president of the student council, alongside... Sister Rihana."
Lyrium’s eyebrows shot up.
"Wait... she’s acquainted with my sister?"
His mind raced.
’Great... of course, another layer of complexity.’
Margaret, seated beside him, tightened her grip, her fingers clenching almost imperceptibly.
Her jaw set, and she let out a small, controlled sigh, her eyes narrowing slightly, not enough for anyone else to notice, but enough for Lyrium to feel a subtle tension from her.
Ren, completely oblivious to the undercurrent, leaned over with a wide grin.
"Dude, that’s insane! Third-year, student council... she’s, like, officially elite or something!"
Lyrium rubbed his face, exhaling slowly.
"And she just... ran off after asking me out. Perfect timing, huh?"
Silas’s chuckle returned, softer this time, as if he were remembering something.
"Hmm... she seems familiar. I feel like I’ve seen her around before, more than once. Be careful, Lyrium."
Lyrium glanced at Margaret briefly, sensing her tension even though she said nothing.
Then his gaze fell to Lily and Silas, a mix of confusion and fatigue weighing on him.
’I swear... this timeline just keeps throwing surprises at me.’
Then, the Professor enters and the class were started.

The student council room was quiet, the polished table gleaming under the soft light.
Rihana sat calmly, her usual composed expression intact.
Maya, on the other hand, could barely contain herself, bouncing slightly in her seat, cheeks bright red, hands clasped together as she practically spilled words nonstop.
"Rihana! Oh my gosh, I finally did it! I, yes, I, actually asked him out! Lyrium! Your Littler Brother! Can you believe it? I mean, I walked up to him, and my heart was pounding, and my hands were shaking, and I totally almost dropped the paper, but I didn’t! I gave it to him! And oh my gosh, the way he just stared at me... his face! I think he froze! And then the look on Ren’s face beside him! Hilarious! And Silas... he just smiled all calm, but I swear he knew something! And Margaret, oh my gosh, Margaret, was sitting right there, icy as ever, but I could feel her tension! She was totally glaring at me, can you believe it?!"
Maya leaned forward, her voice rushing like a rapid stream of thoughts.
"I mean seriously, Rihana, I had to do it! I’ve been thinking about this forever, and I couldn’t wait any longer! And when I ran away after giving him the paper... I mean, I panicked, okay? I totally panicked! But he was just sitting there like a stone! Can you imagine?! Lyrium, the guy everyone is always talking about, and he just... sits! And his face! I swear it was priceless! And then everyone else in the class, Lily waving, Ren grinning like a fool, Silas calmly watching, Margaret still frozen like an ice sculpture, it was chaos! Absolute chaos! And me? I ran! I ran, but I couldn’t stop thinking about him staring at me! Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh..."
She leaned back slightly, taking a shaky breath but already bouncing in her seat again.
"Rihana! What should I do next? I mean, I confessed! I finally did it! But what if he... I don’t know... what if he thinks I’m crazy or something? And I can’t just run away every time I see him... I have to... I have to... oh, Rihana, what do I do?!"
Rihana’s lips twitched into a faint, knowing smile, though she remained calm.
"Maya... you really have no chill, do you?"
Maya’s eyes widened, cheeks still bright red.
"I know! But seriously, Rihana! He’s Lyrium! How could I not confess?! And now... I just... I can’t stop thinking about it! And what if he likes me back? And oh my gosh, I should’ve said this or that—"
Rihana raised a hand slightly, and Maya paused, taking a deep breath, though her energy still radiated across the room like a whirlwind.
"Maya... slow down a bit. You’ve already done the hardest part."
Maya shook her head, leaning forward again, rapid-fire words spilling out.
"The hardest part? But Rihana... there’s still so much! He probably doesn’t even know what to do with my letter! And then the whole class saw, and everyone’s talking about it now, and I’m dying, Rihana, dying! And... oh! I almost forgot! The part where his face went all blank? Priceless! I have to remember that forever!"
Rihana let out the tiniest sigh, lips quirking as she watched Maya continue her whirlwind of excitement, knowing full well her vice president’s energy was unstoppable.
Rihana leaned back slightly, letting a small smirk tug at the corner of her lips.
Her calm, composed voice cut through Maya’s rapid-fire rambling.
"Maya... in the first place, you’re asking out my little brother,"
She said, her eyes glinting with amusement.
"And you are my freind, that’s basically makes you... his big sister in a way. And honestly? I should be the one doing the rapping right now, not you."
Maya’s eyes widened, her cheeks flushing even brighter as she blinked rapidly.
"Wha, wait, what? Big sister? Me?! No way! I’m not a big sister, I mean, I asked him out! That’s... that’s literally the opposite of being a big sister!"
Rihana raised a brow, her smirk deepening.
"Oh, come on. You’re fussing over him, panicking for him, thinking about how he’s going to react... sounds a lot like a protective older sibling to me. You’re literally overthinking everything for him."
Maya threw her hands up, pacing slightly in her seat.
"I-I am not overthinking! I’m... I’m... caring! Caring is totally different than being a big sister! And I cannot believe you just said that!"
Rihana let out a soft chuckle, her voice teasing.
"Exactly. And that’s why I said I should be the one rapping, because clearly, you’ve got all the energy and excitement covered already. You’re running circles around me here."
Maya’s hands flew to her face, peeking through her fingers in embarrassment.
"Oh my gosh... I can’t believe you just said that! Big sister? Me?! No, no, no... this is so not fair!"
Rihana’s calm laughter filled the room, steady and amused, while Maya continued bouncing between flustered embarrassment and endless excitement, words spilling out like a river that refused to stop.
Before Maya could continue her frantic rambling, the door to the student council room swung open again, creaking slightly as four new figures stepped inside.
The first was a boy towering over everyone else, almost six feet 4, with sharp features, slicked-back white hair, and glasses that caught the light just so.
His presence alone demanded attention, radiating authority and quiet confidence.
Behind him came a shorter boy, brown-haired, casually munching on a lollipop as though he owned the room, completely unconcerned with the eyes now turning toward him.
Next was a noticeably large, broad-shouldered young man with a round face and an almost jovial demeanor.
He moved with a surprising grace, his size making him hard to ignore.
Beside him was a majestic girl, tall and elegant, with long, flowing raven-black hair and piercing eyes that seemed to take in every detail of the room in a single glance.
Her posture was perfect, regal even, as though she’d been trained to command respect from birth.
Rihana’s calm gaze swept over the newcomers, lips curling into a faint smile.
"Well... looks like all our council members are together again."
Maya’s face immediately lit up, practically bouncing in her seat.
"Oh! Xialung!" She exclaimed, waving energetically at the tall white-haired boy.
Xialung grinned back, his usual sharp features softened by warmth.
"Maya!" he replied.
"It’s been a while since we all got together like this."
Shion, the quiet brown-haired boy behind him, popped his lollipop into his mouth again and gave a subtle nod, eyes flicking between everyone.
He didn’t speak much, but his calm, observant presence always grounded the group.
Brock, the broad-shouldered, jovial-looking guy, let out a low chuckle, patting his stomach.
"Looks like Maya hasn’t changed a bit,"
He said.
"Still bouncing around like she’s got springs in her feet."
Valentina, the majestic raven-haired girl, glided forward, every movement smooth and perfect.
She gave a faint smile, her eyes briefly meeting Maya’s before scanning the room with her usual air of calm authority.
"It’s nice to see everyone together again,"
She said, her voice smooth and composed, yet carrying the quiet strength that always made people notice her.
Maya leaned toward Rihana, whispering excitedly,
"Rihana... it’s so good! Everyone’s finally here! Xialung’s still so friendly, Shion’s calm as usual, Brock’s... well, always eating, and Valentina... she’s just perfect, as always!"
Rihana chuckled softly.
"Exactly. We’ve all known each other for years. But every time we see them after every mission and quest, they looks kinda new to me."
Xialung stretched casually, grinning.
"Feels like old times, huh? When we were first year. Even with all the chaos, I still confess to you isn’t it Rihana, so when are you going to accept my proposal?"
Xialung gave a wink to Rihana which She choses to ignore.
The room, filled with familiar faces, now carried a mix of energy, calm authority, and playful camaraderie.
Maya’s excitement bubbled over, but it was tempered by the knowledge that these were people she had worked with and known for years, her student council family.
Rihana crossed her arms, smirking slightly as she looked at the group.
"Well... you guys are not gonna believe what Maya just did today."
Shion, munching quietly on his lollipop, raised a brow without speaking.
Brock grunted, chewing,
"What now? Maya getting herself into trouble again?"
Valentina’s sharp gaze flicked toward Maya, her expression calm but curious.
"Do tell, Rihana. I’m intrigued."
Maya squealed, covering her face with her hands, cheeks burning.
"Rihana! You can’t just, ah! Don’t tell them!"
Ignoring her protests, Rihana leaned back slightly.
"Maya went and confessed to my little brother, Lyrium. Literally handed him a note asking him out... and then ran out of the classroom."
Xialung raised an eyebrow, leaning casually against the wall.
"She what? Maya... confessed? To Lyrium?"
Brock paused mid-chew, looking up at Maya with a mock serious face.
"Did he even know who you were, Maya? Or did you just ambush him?"
Maya flailed slightly, embarrassed.
"I—I had to! I couldn’t wait anymore! And yes, he kind of froze at first, and Ren, do you remember him? the fire element guy, he was losing his mind, and Silas, that perfect guy everyon was talking about? He was watching like he knew everything already, and Margaret? Ahh well you probably already knows about her... oh gosh, Margaret looked like she wanted to melt me with her eyes!"
Shion quietly hummed through his lollipop, flicking his eyes to Lyrium classrom’s direction as if silently judging the situation.
Valentina, composed as ever, leaned forward slightly, voice calm but amused.
"Maya... you certainly have a flair for dramatic entrances. And leaving him like that? Bold choice."
Xialung laughed lightly.
"Classic Maya. Go big or go home, huh? I can practically see the chaos in the classroom already."
Brock snorted, patting his stomach.
"I swear, Maya, you’re lucky you’re cute. Otherwise, we’d be dragging you out of there ourselves."
Maya buried her face in her hands again, squealing softly.
"Stop teasing me! I was nervous! I, ugh! Rihana, why did you even tell them?!"
Rihana smirked, arms crossed.
"Because, Maya, this is exactly the kind of chaos that should be shared with the council. And besides... it’s hilarious watching you squirm."
Maya groaned, mumbling,
"I hate all of you..."
But even as she said it, there was a small, reluctant grin on her face.
The council’s teasing, the familiar camaraderie, and even the chaos of her confession, all of it made her excitement and nerves feel less overwhelming.
Xialung shook his head with a grin.
"Well... I guess we’ll be keeping a closer eye on Lyrium from now on."
Valentina’s lips curved into the faintest of smiles.
"And on you too, Maya. Clearly, your heart is always in overdrive."
Shion quietly popped his lollipop again, Brock chuckled, and the room was filled with a mixture of laughter, teasing, and the unmistakable energy of long-time friends and council members, all fully aware that today had just gotten... a lot more interesting.
