The Extra Seeks Chaos-Chapter 179 : Trust me, she’s strange
After Arin's fight, a few more fights took place before Orion finally dismissed the students, telling the ones who were yet to fight to get ready for day 3 of the competition, including those whose fights were postponed.
Arin walked towards the dorm building, his mind occupied with thoughts.
A few minutes later, he finally arrived in his room with a frown on his face.
He dropped the bracelet on the floor, and Roxanne appeared, lowering her head as usual.
Arin just gave a small nod before walking into the bathroom to freshen up.
Inside the bathroom, his thoughts still didn't cease.
"I don't get it...." Arin muttered. "What the hell is going on?"
"I hate this..."
He gritted his teeth in anger and clenched his fist.
"Calm down, Master," Seraphine muttered. "I know it's not easy, but just calm down."
At this point, Arin wasn't even hearing Seraphine's voice clearly due to the amount of rage he was feeling.
"The first second, it feels like I have everything under control and I know what is going on, but the next second...."
He paused, raising his fist as if he was about to punch the wall.
"But the next second, everything becomes so confusing all of a sudden. I find myself lost and wondering what the hell is even going on..."
"I haven't settled one mystery, and another mystery is popping up," he added.
"Now I have to worry about the future since the author has continued the story, and I also have to worry about that strange lady who seemed to know something about me."
"Tch..."
"How about you just continue practicing the Blood Armour Skill? It'll clear your head a bit and make you relaxed," Seraphine suggested.
Arin sighed as he closed his eyes, inhaling and exhaling heavily. "Hmm..."
A few minutes later, he exited the bathroom and saw Roxanne staring outside, looking at the students, as usual.
Without saying anything, he sat down on the floor in a lotus position and closed his eyes.
'This morning, I was able to harden my Blood Energy, and it covered half of my back,' Arin thought.
Before doing it, he felt like it would be slower than when he hardened his Blood Energy in his chest, but it ended up not being really slow.
It was just as slow as when he hardened the Blood Energy in his chest, nothing slower than that.
'I should be able to completely cover my back with the Blood Armour and even part of my neck.'
If he successfully hardened the Blood Energy in his back and neck, it would just be his head remaining.
With a sigh, Arin began.
*********
Arin's eyes instantly snapped open as he looked around.
Roxanne was still staring outside, and the sun was just beginning to rise.
New novel chapt𝒆rs are published on ƒгeewebnovёl.com.
He opened his eyes early today, so Roxanne didn't have to tap him.
He stood up and adjusted his clothes. Meanwhile, Roxanne had already turned back, looking at him.
"Greetings, Lord Arin," she said as she lowered her head.
Arin nodded his head. "Hmm, you never get tired of staring outside, huh?"
Roxanne chuckled. "Not really. It's just refreshing."
"Oh, before I forget," she suddenly said as she walked closer to Arin.
Arin raised a brow, curiosity visible on his face.
"What is it?"
Roxanne stopped, staring at him. "Lord Liora will be arriving any moment from now."
"She said she proposed your idea to the King and the other Progenitors, and they have made a decision," she added.
"I see..." Arin muttered.
'Why can't she just tell Roxanne to tell me what their decision was instead of coming, though?' Arin thought.
Putting that aside, Arin walked towards the bathroom, ready to freshen up and start the day.
"How do you feel now?" Seraphine asked.
"Better than yesterday.... At least," Arin replied as he closed the bathroom door.
"I told you," Seraphine said. "I know the answers won't come on their own, and you'll have to actively discover the answers by yourself, but for now, just calm down, and keep a cool head. Everything will eventually fall into place."
Arin smiled a bit. "Hmm, wise words coming from wise master Seraphine."
Seraphine grumbled. "Ugh, I won't say anything again."
As soon as Arin finished and exited the bathroom, a red circle suddenly appeared on the floor in the middle of the room.
Arin smiled wryly. 'If the Blood Energy coming out from this circle wasn't little, I don't know what would have been happening by now.'
Liora instantly appeared in the room, her blue hair fluttering lightly.
Both she and Arin lowered their heads at the same time.
"Greetings, Progenitor Arin," Liora said.
Arin also returned the greeting as they raised their heads.
"I believe Roxanne must have told you why I'm here," Liora said.
Arin nodded in response. "Yes."
Liora nodded. "The Progenitors and the King discussed the issue, and after considering all the points, the King decided that we will go along with your plan."
Arin smiled. "Great. That way, helping the humans will be easier."
"True," Liora said. "Though, the King also mentioned something else."
Arin raised a brow. "What?"
"He said that the Vampires will still need information about the Phoenixes even though you won't be present."
"That way, you'll be helping us even though you're absent, and you'll also be keeping your part of the deal," she added.
Arin squinted his eyes. 'Hmm, pretty fair.'
He nodded. "Okay, then. I'll do that."
Liora smiled. "Perfect."
Suddenly, a transparent orb, the size of a ping-pong ball, appeared in her hand.
She poured a tiny bit of Blood Energy into it, and it instantly glowed red.
Arin looked at the orb curiously. "What is that?"
"It's a listening orb," Liora replied. "It'll store what you say about the Phoenixes, and when I go back to the Vampire Realm, they'll be able to hear everything you said through this orb."
Liora sighed. "Ah, it saves me the stress of telling them everything you said with my mouth."
"Hmm, now that I think about it, I could've used this when you were telling me about the plan. I wouldn't have explained so much."
Arin nodded. 'So, it's an artifact...'
A few minutes later, he had finished telling Liora about the weaknesses of the Phoenixes, and the orb recorded his voice.
He knew about the weaknesses of the Phoenixes because they were mentioned in the novel.
'Now that I think about it, the weaknesses of the Phoenixes weren't directly written in the novel,' Arin thought. 'A reader asked about it in a paragraph comment, and the author replied, listing the three weaknesses of the Phoenixes.'
Though, Arin didn't tell Liora all the weaknesses of the Phoenixes. He intentionally left out some parts.
'I was the one who distracted Alex using Tessa so that Arthur would be killed,' Arin thought. 'So I'm actually part of the reason why the Phoenixes want to wage war against the Vampires.'
They were already not on good terms, but it hadn't gotten to a level where a war would happen. Arthur's death was what cut that tiny thread of peace.
'So, I can't just tell the Vampires all the weaknesses of the Phoenixes and put the Phoenixes at a disadvantage,' Arin thought. 'At least, it should be a fair fight.'
The listening orb instantly disappeared from Liora's hand as she lowered her head.
"Thank you very much for your cooperation," she said.
Arin nodded.
Liora then turned to Roxanne, and they chatted a bit before she looked at Arin again.
"The King is still considering which of the Progenitors will join you here in the human realm," she said. "Once he has made his decision, I'll let you know."
"Okay, I understand," Arin said.
With that, Liora left.
A few minutes later, Arin had already worn the bracelet, and Seraphine was seated in the middle of the room.
"Don't miss me too much," she said as Arin shut the door.
It was still pretty early, and there was still at least an hour before classes would begin, so Arin still had time to do what he wanted to do.
He quickly exited the dorm building and made his way to the building reserved for teachers.
After a few seconds, he arrived in front of Riya's office and knocked.
"Come in," Riya's voice was heard.
Arin instantly opened the door and stepped inside the office.
Without saying anything, he sat down on the chair, facing Riya.
"Good morning," he said.
Riya nodded. "Good morning. I'm glad you're here. I had already planned to meet you after classes today."
"Okay, what for, exactly?" He asked, wanting to know if it was the same reason why he was here.
Riya crossed her legs. "I believe it's the same reason why you're here."
She stared at Arin before asking, "You're curious about who that lady was, right?"
"Yes," Arin said almost instantly.
"She's the Assistant Principal of this Academy," Riya said.
Her brows instantly furrowed as she leaned forward.
"And trust me, Arin... She's strange."
