Chapter 124: Tournament 5

The crowd was in uproar after Damon completely reversed a losing situation into a winning one. Damon meanwhile, the real one with bruises and scorched wounds brought out a tube of golden liquid and chugged it down.

Also, he didn’t dispell the reflection that had pummeled Levi, after all, it was an expensive one. One that had 400 percent of his stats.

Damon watched with grim satisfaction as a bright light shrouded the ruined mess that was Levi Stormbreaker, before vanishing along with him. ’That’s for what happened in the egg challenge phase, you little piece of shit.’ he thought. Damon even thought he should have pummeled him for longer before trying to eliminate him.

Instructor Lee waved both Damon’s back to the stands, next to Dion. "No matter how much I see it, your ability still baffles me." Dion commented. "How can you be in two places at once and still know what’s happening in those two places even though the other you isn’t even there?"

"It is what it is." Both Damons echoed simultaneously.

"A broken ability is what it is." Dion chuckled.

"For our next match, we have Calum Forge, Vs June Keiger." Instructor Lee’s voice regained it’s cheer. He had lost the cheer in his voice a little, when he appeared to stop the crimson arc Damon released from killing Levi.

The moment instructor Lee announced it, Calum didn’t waste any time. Draconic scales appeared, layering across his limbs, most parts of his torso, and even sparsely on his face.

Calum jumped down towards the middle of the field, and even the place he had been at the stands cracked slightly from the force at which he had jumped.

His knees didn’t even buckle when he landed in the middle of the field. His opponent meanwhile, was a girl named June who had a bright pink hair. Unlike Calum, she didn’t jump, but instead gently descended down to the field on the pink translucent platform on which she stood.

"Begin!"

Calum bent his scaled knees, and exploded forth towards June with immense speed. He cocked an arm back, and threw a brutal punch straight to her head, one that with no doubt would have exploded her head should it come in contact with her.

But the girl was quick in using her ability. A pink translucent wall appeared between her and Calum. But alas, the hastily put up wall shattered like glass on impact from the sheer force Calum’s fist carried.

The air exploded, pushing the girl backwards slightly. But in the blink of an eye, Calum was already before her, his scaled leg raised to her eye level. The girl hastily put up another pink shield up, but Calum’s leg shattered it all the same. She tilted her head back at the last second dodging most of the force of the blow, but it still grazed her nonetheless.

Her nose exploded in a furious blood shower as she clumsily crumbled to her knees. The moment her knees touched the ground, Calum’s second foot pierced through her entire torso all the way to the back, only for her to fade away, an afterimage.

"Calum Forge wins." Instructor Lee’s voice reverberated in Calum’s ear. Calum turned around, only to see the instructor right behind him, the pink haired girl lumped on his arm, unconscious.

A bright light soon shrouded the girl, taking her away with it when it faded. Calum meanwhile was waved back to the stands by instructor Lee. However, before he went back to his seat, he fixed a look at the two Damons, the person he would be going against next. Due to the strength Damon demonstrated in defeating Levi, Calum demonstrated the same prowess, and completely crushed his opponent. The poor girl wasn’t even able to make a single move, before she had to be rescued.

While Calum didn’t think himself above Levi, he certainly didn’t think Levi was above him also. They were both heirs of tier 2 houses. And Calum believed himself to be able to hold his own against anyone in their age group. Damon defeating Levi didn’t mean Damon could defeat Calum himself. It was all about conditions.

The two Damons soon turned to him, as if sensing his gaze –Which they kind of did–. When they noticed it was Calum looking at him, a cocky smirk appeared on their face as if in challenge. The unruly prince opened their mouth and seemed to mouth; ’Its you and me now.’

But of course it might just be in Calum’s pov. Damon soon turned away. "Tsk." Clicking his tongue, Calum also turned away.

For our next match, we have the Phoenix princess once more, Vs....."

"I forfeit." A voice rang out before their name could even be called. Rose’s head snapped to the student who forfeited, making them shrink away.

"Hahahahaha!" The clownish instructor chuckled awkwardly, before calling on the next combatants. "Alistair Von Drake Vs Sasha Dursely."

"Oh, I’m fighting the crown jewel." Sasha’s mouth went into an ’O’ shape. She smiled and adjusted her quiver, before jumping down the stands, and flickering towards the mid point of the field the moment she touched the ground.

Alistair on the other hand, displayed the same entrance all the other male students had been doing, he leapt of the stands, and descended rapidly towards the mid point of the field.

Before the instructor even decorated the start of the fight, Sasha’s lithe body flickered backwards and made space between Alistair and herself.

"Beg..." The rest of the Instructor’s voice was rendered soundless by the defeating boom that shattered the air and the shockwave that followed.

The moment instructor Lee began speaking, Sasha had already nocked five arrows on her bowstring and shot them at Alistair with unnerving precision. The arrows as usual, by the help of her ability, obtained subsonic speeds, and arrived before Alistair in what felt like an instant.

But Alistair wasn’t called the crown jewel of this generation for nothing. He spun his spear around, knocking away each and every arrow she shot at him, out of their intended directions, which were his vitals.

But just as he was done with those set, another volley followed right after. "Tsk!" he clicked his tongue, doing the same for those ones also. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

But Sasha wasn’t done just yet, "First art: Star piercer." Another volley of arrows shot at Alistair just the same, and arrived before him near instantly. But this time, there was something different about them.

The moment Alistair tried to knock away a single one,it was his spear that was knocked back instead, from the sheer amount of force the arrow carried. That severely shortened the time he needed to block the other arrows, leaving him no choice but to clock his tongue and use his ability.

In an instant, a golden light burst from him. Before the golden light could even cease, something moved like the flash of a light and knocked away all arrows that were inches from Alistair’s vitals.

When the light vanished, Alistair had seemingly disappeared from there. Sasha frowned in confusion, before her frown dissolved into a smile. "He’s behind me, isn’t he?" She muttered aloud. "I surrender." She voiced out, looking behind her. Sure enough, there stood Alistair, the tip of his spear, an inch from the back of her neck.

"Alistair Von Drake wins."

Waving both Alistair and Sasha away, Instructor Lee announced the next fight. "Fabian Ashton Vs Fredrick Baystone."

Fabian gracefully descended the stairs leading down to the field. He felt all those grand entrances the others were doing were beneath him.

His opponent meanwhile, was a platinum haired guy who looked like he was one breath away from death. His skin was deathly pale, and his eyes were glazed and unfocused.

"Begin!" The instructor yelled once they were within a certain distance. A ghostly pale mist began seeping out from the pores of Fabian’s opponent, slowly starting to obscure Fabian’s vision. Fabian let him, wondering what the guy was up to with that. Certainly it wasn’t merely to obscure his vision was it.

Before long, Fabian could no longer see more than a meter, and at that moment, something felt wrong. Apart from his vision, his hearing was also shutting down.

"Hmph." Fabian snorted. "Fourth art: Gale thrust." A Massive amount of wind energy began generating around the tip of Fabian’s halberd, before he thrusted in a certain direction.

The most in the direction he thrusted dissipated like smoke in a furious storm. The remainder of the mist very quickly began to clear out as well. And there at the very edge of the fading mist, lay the pale youth who had gone unconscious sometime after Fabian thrusted in his direction.

"Fabian Ashton wins." The instructor announced. Waving the Fabian away, and getting the pale kid transported away, the instructor continued with the tournament.

"Next match, We have the shadow king, Aric Tinubu, Vs the Necron princess, Anastasia Necron."
