"It’s nice to meet you." Heaven’s eye stopped hiding and stepped forward, covered in thick black smoke that made it hard to even tell whether he was a man or a woman. The only way to distinguish his gender was through his voice and that was how everyone could be sure that he was a man.

The master of curses smirked as he mockingly spoke, "I’m afraid it’s too late for you to be the hero."

Heaven’s eye did not give a response to this and since his face could not be seen, it was only natural that his reaction could also not be known.

Without wasting another second, the master of curses started possessing the body of the demon king.

Halfway through, he came to realize that something was wrong.

Gritting his teeth, he threw the demon king aside.

"What did you do?!" He roared in anger as he coughed out a mouthful of blood.

Suddenly, a mask fell off from the demon king’s face, revealing the person’s real identity.

It was Yu Wei who had pretended to be the demon king.

When the master of curses saw Yu Wei’s face, he was angered to the point of not even being able to control his own curse and ended up freeing everyone.

Yu Wei couldn’t help but laugh as she saw the man’s angry face, however, she couldn’t laugh for long as she felt the sharp pain coming from the cuts on her arm.

Jin Shifeng immediately rushed over to her side and frowned.

The master of curses coughed out even more blood and took a step back in disbelief as he shouted, "What is happening?! What did you do?!"

He was sure that this was not a side-effect of the forbidden technique that he had used.

Yu Wei smiled as she heard this question and took out something from her pocket as she spoke, "Poison."

"Huh?"

"It’s a type of poison that can kill you within an hour," Yu Wei casually spoke, looking as if she were greatly enjoying this situation, "I ate it."

Everyone looked at her in shock as they heard this and Yu Wei nonchalantly continued, "I wasn’t sure if you’d fall for my trick or not, but luckily, you weren’t so bright."

Right before the master of curses used his most forbidden technique, Yu Wei grabbed onto the small shiny dagger that belonged to Jie Fu Lian and hence, when the master of curses saw her in disguise with the dagger in hand, he immediately mistook her for Jie Fu Lian.

It was an impulsively made plan that had a low rate of success, however, it worked and the master of curses ended up falling into Yu Wei’s trap.

"You imbecile!"

Yu Wei chuckled as she spoke, "You drank my blood and you also drank the poison that was mixed with it."

"T-the antidote. Where is the antidote...?!" The man frantically shouted.

Yu Wei took out a vial from her pocket and spoke, "It’s right here."

The master of curses sprang at the woman, aiming to grab the vial from her hands, however, five of the stone puppets blocked his path and by the time he managed to get rid of them, the vial had been emptied out by Yu Wei who drank it.

With a grin, Yu Wei threw the empty vial over to the master of curses as he spoke, "You believe in prophecies, don’t you? Was there a prophecy where I was the one to kill you?"

The master of curses gritted his teeth and grabbed the woman by her throat.

Jin Shifeng tried to stop him but wasn’t quick enough. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"You dare play tricks on me?!" He gritted out as he glared at the woman.

Yu Wei choked out a laugh and fearlessly glared back at the man.

Heaven’s eye sighed as he saw this scene and snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, everyone’s eyesight started going black and their consciousness faded away.

The last thing Jie Fu Lian saw was the sword that Heaven’s eye was holding and as soon as he saw the sword, he frowned as he mumbled, "That sword... I know it..."

Nobody heard his fading voice and in just a minute, everyone except for the master of curses had already lost consciousness.

Yu Wei was also no different.

"I told you, didn’t I? This is the end." Heaven’s eye spoke as he severed the man’s arm that was strangling Yu Wei.

The master of curses cried out in pain as he stumbled back and fell down.

"Heaven’s eye, I thought we were on the same side!"

"Same side?" Heaven’s eye scoffed as he spoke, "You want to kill Jie Fu Lian and I want to keep him alive. We were never on the same side."

The master of curses crawled back, looking to be terrified as he replied, "You were the one who killed Bai LiuXian and framed it on Jie Fu Lian! Have you already forgotten?"

"I didn’t forget," Heaven’s eye nodded his head as he spoke, "I did try to frame him, but not for the reasons you think I did it for."

"Huh?"

"Who do you think gave Shen Fang a part of Jie Fu Lian’s soul?"

The master of curses gulped as he heard this but didn’t dare say anything as a response.

The dark smoke around the man started to disappear and he finally revealed his face as he spoke, "It was me."

The master of curses looked to be shocked to the point where he could not even say anything.

"Do you still think we are on the same side?" Heaven’s eye asked.

"You are that guy..." The master of curses spoke as he pointed out, "You are the one who..."

"Yep, that’s right. That’s me," Heaven’s eye laughed, quite enjoying the confused and shocked expression on the man’s face.

The master of curses suddenly didn’t know if he wanted to laugh or cry at the revelation.

"I bet immortal Jie Fu Lian would be delighted to know who you are."

Heaven’s eye thinly smiled as he heard this and spoke, "Don’t worry. Once I kill you, there will be no one left to tell him who I am."

The master of curses gulped as he heard this and looked down at his missing arm.

It was clear that he was at a disadvantage and winning against the Heaven’s eye seemed to be impossible. However, the man was still willing to fight for his life.

He quickly made a seal with his remaining hand but before he could attack, Heaven’s eye had already cut his arm off.

The master of curses cried out in pain once more, having lost both his arms.

Heaven’s eye raised his sword and pointed the tip of its blade at the man as he spoke, "It’s over. The wicked fate that entangled us all ends right here."

The master of curses smiled as he heard this and for a second there, he almost looked as if he had completely gone insane.

"There will be a day when he knows who you are and when that day comes, have fun explaining yourself to him. Let this be my final curse for you. Even if I’m dead, Jie Fu Lian will find out who you are."

Heaven’s eye smiled as he heard this but said nothing as a response.

With a sigh, Heaven’s eye raised his sword and made a seal in thin air. From the bright red seal came out the claw of a demon that ripped apart the master of curse’s heart from his chest and crushed it.

When the claw disappeared, Heaven’s eye ordered the stone puppets to completely rip apart the remaining body of the master of curses, including his soul that was torn apart and destroyed.

Heaven’s eye stayed there and made sure that all seven parts of the man’s soul were destroyed.

Just like that, the battle was over with a gruesome turn of events.

Heaven’s eye sighed as he looked up at the sky and then walked over to Jie Fu Lian’s side.

Jie Fu Lian was still lying unconscious and could neither hear nor know what was going on.

Heaven’s eye softly grabbed the man’s hand and a single drop of tear trailed down from his eyes as he spoke, "Jie Ming, I have paid you back what I owed. The debt between us has been settled."

When Jie Fu Lian finally woke up, he was back in the HuiXue sect alongside the others.

When he asked around about what had happened, Hua Tianshu informed him that Heaven’s eye had saved them and transported them back to the HuiXue sect.

When Jie Fu Lian heard this, he had an evident frown on his face.

"It’s okay," Hua Tianshu reassured, "The master of curses is dead now. The fight is over."

Jie Fu Lian gulped as he heard this and shook his head as he spoke, "Something doesn’t seem right."

"Hmm?"

"That sword..." Jie Fu Lian weakly muttered, unsure if he should be mentioning it.
