Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Newbie Village, Gem Village

At noon, Lynn and his group found a famous restaurant in Celestial Destiny City to solve the problem of lunch.

It has to be said that being able to make a name for itself in the Imperial City, the restaurant’s standards are quite high. Even Xiya, who isn’t picky and only loves to eat leafy greens, couldn’t stop praising their salad.

Little Youli ate so much that she was round and full, and in the afternoon, she couldn’t even walk, lying all along on one of Lynn’s shoulders, staring neck-and-neck with the three-flowered cat squatting on the other side.

"Lynn Daddy, you seem to be very, very rich."

Stuffed little Youli lost her usual liveliness and just lay on Lynn quietly, speaking in a soft voice.

"Little Youli, now that you’re with me, I definitely won’t let you live a hard life. Our family won’t lack money."

Lynn reached out to smooth little Youli’s hair, indicating that he was not short of money at all. Besides countless invaluable treasures in his stock, even his cash was hard to count.

"Then Lynn Daddy, could you give little Youli some money? Little Youli wants to give the neighboring uncles, aunties, grandpas, and grandmas a proper burial."

After turning over in Lynn’s arms, little Youli leaned close to his ear and softly made a request.

After her village was destroyed by a Demon Race attack, all of the people she was familiar with were thrown into a mass grave, and even little Youli relied on others’ donations to live. Xiya Sister struggled to maintain the shelter, with no extra money. So, this wish has never been fulfilled.

Now her life has begun to stabilize, and her new dad is so generous when spending money, looking very wealthy, which is why she cautiously proposed this idea.

"Newbie Village... No problem, anyway, we’ve bought what we needed, so let’s head to little Youli’s village."

Upon hearing little Youli’s words, Lynn thought back to when he first entered Miracle World, even though he stayed at the Newbie Village for just a very short period. Because little Youli was there, he visited quite often afterward. Even if he wasn’t familiar with the villagers, he had encountered them numerous times.

Last night, little Youli mentioned that her village suffered from a demon disaster, with only little Youli surviving. But he didn’t expect that, even after a year has passed, the villagers still hadn’t been properly buried.

"It’s not the Newbie Village, it’s Gem Village. The villagers were very good people, Lynn Daddy, let’s head over now."

Hearing Lynn willing to spend money and even accompany her on the trip, little Youli appeared very happy, couldn’t wait any longer. If she hadn’t been so full earlier, she’d probably already be jumping off to lead the way.

"Will you come with us or head home first?"

Lynn turned to look at Xiya and Catherine, asking for their thoughts.

"Another tragedy caused by the hateful Demon Race! I will kill them all sooner or later! I’ll go with you!"

If another topic was raised, Catherine wouldn’t really care, but when it came to disasters caused by the Demon Race, Catherine felt strongly about it, her teeth grinding with hate.

"Let’s go."

Xiya was more straightforward, without saying a wasted word.

Three adults and one child had made their decision, so the three-flowered cat didn’t need to express an opinion.

While time was still early, it was possible to finish the job over there and return in time. Lynn took them to the Teleportation Array, directly using the Teleportation Array to head to Victory City, the nearest city to Gem Village.

In less than three minutes after their departure, news of Lynn using the Teleportation Array to leave Celestial Destiny City reached the Imperial City.

Upon hearing Lynn left with Xiya and Catherine, the Celestial Destiny Emperor relaxed. What Vivian from the Jones Clan couldn’t achieve, untasked Xiya and Catherine accomplished quickly—a great relief indeed.

"Immediately shut down the connection channel between Celestial Destiny City and Victory City and reopen it only after Lynn leaves Celestial Destiny Empire!"

The Celestial Destiny Emperor, worthy of being the most foolish of fools, made the Imperial Decree Officer’s ears numb from hearing, wondering whether he was removing hidden threats or courting trouble.

Who informed you that Lynn leaving Celestial Destiny City implies leaving Celestial Destiny Empire? Can’t someone just head out to run errands and return?

Moreover, will cutting off a Teleportation Array stop anyone? With a high-ranking Saint Tier wanting to return to Celestial Destiny City, won’t there be other channels?

If Lynn finds out you’re the one who cut off the teleportation route, even those who had no enmity with you would mark you.

Truly mindless... Well, never mind, if he wasn’t foolish, he wouldn’t be the Celestial Destiny Emperor; once the sensible Prince back then has long vanished, now he’s the infamous trash of the Human Race Empire, the Celestial Mandate Emperor...

As long as the Emperor remains the Emperor, his decrees stay effective. In just a moment, the connection between Victory City and Celestial Destiny City via teleportation was severed.

Meanwhile, Lynn and his entourage had just left Victory City and were traveling by newly purchased coach heading towards Gem Village.

They were followed by a massive convoy of carts, hired movers, and stonemasons paid by Lynn; several people couldn’t manage to bury an entire village’s remains, nor were they professionals.

As the Human Race Empire at the continent’s center, players choosing the Human Race as their race mostly entered through villages within the Celestial Destiny Empire, most notably the Newbie Village where little Youli once lived, because she was then the unique NPC.

Being the only man among them, Lynn naturally took over the driving duty, even though he’d never driven a coach before. The tamed horses were obedient and easy to handle, posing no challenge to Lynn.

The coach ran nonstop, taking less than half an hour to reach Gem Village. Lynn looked around, seeing the once bustling village... still bustling.

Lynn: "..."

Not until little Youli got off the coach and gazed at the strangers in the village did she show a sad expression, did Lynn truly comprehend the notion of things change but people change.

"Let’s go, the people in the village aren’t those elders anymore. Let’s head to... the graveyard and take a look."

Seeing his precious daughter mourning, Lynn crouched down and gently patted her thin shoulder, softly comforting her.

"Hmm."

Little Youli replied dully, wiped her eyes, turned around without looking back, asking Daddy for a hug; once held, she pouted and guided the adults.

Following little Youli’s direction far away, Lynn and his group led the convoy to a chillingly cold place—Gem Village’s nearby mass gravesite. Rarely visited, its unique environment made it eerie even during daylight.

Since a year had passed, and scavengers roamed, Lynn and the others were met not with bodies strewn everywhere but a multitude of scattered white bones.

Besides the bones, no matter how familiar someone once was, the dead couldn’t be identified, but it wasn’t necessary—everyone in the village was dead, thrown here—they just had to bury all the remains.
