Chapter 26: Chapter 25:Brian Vs push and pull

Brian stood firm, his silver armor glinting under the dim, otherworldly light of the battlefield. He held his glowing sword aloft, its aura of shimmering silver a stark contrast to the dark, twisted forms of Push, Pull, and their demonic horde. The air around him crackled with tension as the knights fought valiantly on the other side of the battlefield, their shouts mixing with the guttural roars of demons. Despite the chaos, Brian’s presence radiated a calm authority, like a lighthouse guiding the lost in a storm.

"Ready for battle, are we?" Push sneered, his voice a low growl that echoed unnaturally. His grotesque form loomed forward, his claws flexing as the horde shifted restlessly behind him.

Pull stepped forward, his voice softer but no less menacing. "You’ll find that even your so-called God of Reality won’t save you now."

Brian’s grip tightened on his sword, his gaze unyielding. "We shall see."

With a guttural roar, Push commanded, "Demons! Attack!"

The horde surged forward like a tidal wave of shadows and teeth, their bloodlust palpable. But Brian was unmoved. He raised his sword, the blade humming with raw power.

"Grant me your boon: Reality Breaker!" Brian’s voice rang out, a command and prayer in one.

The air around him shifted. A tremendous silver shockwave erupted from his blade, rippling outward like a tidal wave of light. The battlefield was momentarily bathed in its brilliance, forcing even the demons to pause in their charge. The ground beneath their feet cracked and splintered as Brian swung his sword in a broad arc, cutting through the advancing demons as though they were mere shadows.

"I don’t want the destruction to harm the other knights," Brian murmured, more to himself than anyone else. With a flick of his wrist, he created a barrier around the and the remaining demons. The shimmering dome of energy sparkled with silver light, trapping the chaos within.

Push and Pull recoiled, their grotesque forms momentarily stunned. "What is this?" Push growled, his eyes narrowing as the barrier began to hum ominously.

Then, the explosion.

A deafening roar tore through the air as the shockwave detonated, obliterating everything within the barrier. Demons were disintegrated in an instant, their forms reduced to ash and bloodstains that smeared the inside of the barrier. The ground itself was scorched, a massive crater left in the wake of the attack.

The knights on the far side of the battlefield stumbled as the earth trembled beneath their feet. Some fell, their weapons clattering to the ground. Even the demons on the other side hesitated, their confidence shaken by the sheer magnitude of power on display.

As the barrier dissolved, silence fell over the battlefield. The knights stared in awe at the devastation, their eyes wide with disbelief. But the silence was short-lived.

From the remnants of the blast, tiny pieces of flesh and blood began to twitch. Slowly, they coalesced, crawling toward one another with a sickening, squelching sound. Brian watched impassively as Push and Pull began to regenerate, their bodies knitting themselves back together.

Push’s head formed first, his mouth twisting into a grim smile. "Well," he said, his voice raspy, "you’re strong. I’ll give you that."

Pull’s eyes reappeared next, his pupils sliding into place as his voice joined his brother’s. "I think we underestimated you."

Their forms solidified, their grotesque bodies now whole once more. They stretched and flexed, testing their newly reformed limbs. The sight was grotesque, but Brian didn’t flinch.

"So," Push continued, his tone almost conversational, "we won’t take it easy on you anymore."

Brian’s lips curled into a faint smile, his confidence unwavering. "You thought that was my full power?" he asked, his voice calm and steady. "I was still holding back. Now, I’ll show you why you should never mess with a legendary knight."

The ground beneath Brian’s feet began to glow as he channeled the full extent of his power. The air around him shimmered, distorting like a mirage as reality itself seemed to bend to his will. His sword pulsed with silver light, the aura around it growing brighter and more intense.

Push and Pull exchanged a glance, their expressions serious for the first time. "He’s not bluffing," Pull muttered, his claws flexing.

"Good," Push replied, a savage grin spreading across his face. "Let’s see what he’s really made of."

The brothers lunged forward in unison, their movements perfectly synchronized. Push swung his massive claws at Brian’s head, while Pull aimed a devastating kick at his midsection. But Brian was faster.

With a burst of speed, he dodged their attacks, his movements fluid and precise. He swung his sword in a tight arc, the blade cutting through the air with a sound like thunder. Push barely managed to block the strike with his claws, but the force of the blow sent him skidding backward.

Pull tried to capitalize on the opening, aiming a punch at Brian’s back. But Brian twisted around, his sword meeting Pull’s fist with a resounding clash. Sparks flew as the two forces collided, the impact sending shockwaves rippling outward. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"You’re fast," Pull admitted, his voice tinged with grudging respect. "But speed alone won’t be enough to defeat us."

Brian didn’t respond. Instead, he raised his free hand, his fingers glowing with silver light. "Reality Compression," he intoned, his voice resonating with power.

The air around Pull seemed to warp, pressing inward as though an invisible force was crushing him. Pull let out a strangled cry, his movements slowing as the pressure intensified. Push roared in anger, lunging at Brian to free his brother. But Brian was ready.

"Reality Distortion."

With a wave of his hand, Brian twisted the space around Push, sending him hurtling sideways as though the laws of physics no longer applied. Push crashed into the ground, his massive form carving a trench in the earth.

The knights on the far side of the battlefield cheered, their morale bolstered by Brian’s display of power. But Brian wasn’t done yet.

"Now," he said, his voice cold and resolute, "let’s finish this."

He raised his sword high, the blade glowing brighter than ever. The air around him hummed with energy, the very fabric of reality trembling under the weight of his power. The demons on the battlefield froze, their instincts screaming at them to flee.

"Reality Severance!" Brian shouted, bringing his sword down in a sweeping arc.

A blinding wave of silver light erupted from the blade, cutting through everything in its path. The ground split open, a massive fissure forming as the wave tore across the battlefield. Push and Pull tried to resist, their forms shimmering as they fought against the attack. But it was no use.

The wave consumed them, their bodies disintegrating into nothingness. For a moment, it seemed as though the battle was won. But then, from the depths of the fissure, a low, menacing laugh echoed.

The knights and demons alike watched in horror as Push and Pull began to reform once more, their regeneration faster this time. Within moments, they were whole again, their grotesque forms unmarred by the attack.

Push grinned, his sharp teeth glinting. "Impressive," he said. "But you’ll have to do better than that."

Pull nodded, his expression serious. "We’re just getting started."

Brian’s eyes narrowed, his grip on his sword tightening. "So am I."

The battlefield trembled under the relentless clash of power as Brian, Push, and Pull launched themselves into a ferocious melee. Push lunged first, his massive claws glowing with dark energy. Brian met him head-on, his silver sword blazing like a comet as their attacks collided with a deafening roar. Sparks and shockwaves rippled outward, cracking the ground beneath their feet.

"You’re quick," Brian said, his voice calm but laced with determination. He sidestepped another swipe from Push, his sword moving in a blur to deflect Pull’s sneak attack. "But not quick enough."

Push snarled, leaping back. He raised his hand, a dark aura swirling around his clawed fingers. "Hell Technique: Immense Gravity!"

A glowing white cylinder shot from Push’s hand, its gravitational force warping the air around it as it barreled toward Brian. The very ground seemed to groan under its weight, cracking and crumbling as the cylinder tore through the battlefield.

Brian’s eyes narrowed. He swung his sword in a powerful arc, aiming to dispel the attack. But before his blade could connect, Pull appeared behind him, his movements impossibly swift.

"Hell Technique: Light Body!" Pull’s voice was low and sinister as he touched Brian’s back.

Suddenly, Brian felt an overwhelming lightness. His feet left the ground, and his body began to float uncontrollably. His grip on his sword weakened as the unnatural force tried to pull it from his grasp. The gravity cylinder loomed closer, its destructive power mere moments away from engulfing him.

Brian’s heart raced. With a final, desperate gasp, he released his grip on the sword, letting it spin away from him. The cylinder narrowly missed, its force ripping through the air where he had been moments ago. It continued forward, carving a path of destruction across the battlefield, leaving a deep trench in its wake.

Before Brian could recover, a blur of motion flashed past him. A heavy boot slammed into Push’s jaw, sending the demon hurtling skyward. The sheer force of the kick cracked the air like thunder. Brian twisted mid-air, his eyes widening as he caught sight of the newcomer.

Chains clinked faintly as a figure landed gracefully behind him, the ground cracking under the weight of his presence. The air around him seemed to ripple with restrained power. He wore a cocky grin, his dark eyes glinting with mischief.

Brian lowered himself to the ground, his body regaining its normal weight. "You missed," he said, glancing back at the massive destruction caused by the cylinder.

The newcomer shrugged, his chains jingling with the movement. "Close enough," he replied casually. Then he turned to face Brian fully, his grin widening. "Hey, Brian."

Brian’s lips twitched into a small smile. "Luci."

Pull’s voice cut through the tense air, sharp and incredulous. "Luci? You’re back?"

The figure – Luci – turned to face the demon, his grin never faltering. "Well," he said, his tone light and almost playful, "it is what it is."
