Chapter 302: Chapter 9: The Elf Prince’s Wish

Xia Chuanyue quickly stepped forward and greeted Camille.

"Ah, let me introduce you, this is my roommate, Dean. Dean, this is Xia Chuanyue and Tianmiao." Camille introduced them to each other.

"Hello." Xia Chuanyue greeted.

Dean glanced at Xia Chuanyue and said lightly, "Hello." Then he turned to look at Tianmiao.

"Hello." Dean looked at Tianmiao and then at the white cat on her shoulder, greeting Tianmiao.

"Hello." Tianmiao nodded but said no more.

"Let’s go, let’s go, time to eat. What are we having tonight?" Xia Chuanyue asked cheerfully.

"I know a place with good steaks, and some desserts I think you girls will enjoy. Their fruit wine is also very nice, don’t worry, it’s not intoxicating, just a little mellow." Camille smiled. "Order whatever you want tonight, it’s on me."

"Then I won’t hold back, don’t blame me for eating so much and thinning your wallet. I’ll make sure you can eat as much next time when I treat." Xia Chuanyue joked.

"Eh? You eat that much? I’m curious to see that." Camille pretended to ponder, "If you eat until I’m broke, I’ll take you along to make money. There are lots of orders to take at the trading post."

Before Xia Chuanyue could speak, Tianmiao asked, "Where’s the trading post?"

"You want to make money?" Xia Chuanyue immediately understood what Tianmiao meant.

"Yeah. I’m broke." Tianmiao openly admitted her poverty.

Upon hearing this, Dean looked over. He seemed a bit incredulous, as it was rare for someone to admit being poor so frankly. Yet, looking at Tianmiao’s attire, she didn’t seem like someone who was poor at all.

"Didn’t your family’s elders prepare any money for you?" Camille curiously asked.

"Nope. Maybe the elders at home didn’t think of it, or they want me to be self-sufficient?" Tianmiao thought aloud.

"But not even money for food..." Xia Chuanyue said a bit displeased. No money for food? But knowing it’s Tianmiao’s family’s decision, out of politeness and respect, even though Xia Chuanyue felt a bit uneasy, she didn’t say anything further.

(The Creator God, while drinking tea, suddenly felt his nose itch. He rubbed his nose — as a god, sneezing is of course impossible. But the itch was real. Which little rascal is talking behind his back?)

The small white cat on Tianmiao’s shoulder covered its face with its tiny front paws. Ah, Father God really made a serious mistake by forgetting to give Miao Miao some money and expecting Miao Miao to earn it herself. Miao Miao’s life is too tough; no, he must earn money to support Miao Miao.

"Maybe they thought I wouldn’t starve myself. Shall we go to the trading post after eating?" Tianmiao wasn’t bothered, as currency wasn’t really recognized at the Heavenly Dao Office; instead, various resources and things people found useful were used for exchange to get what one wanted.

"Okay, then after dinner, I’ll show you the trading post. Besides the trading post where there are orders, there’s also the Mercenary Union. But that’s for mercenaries. Many tasks there are quite tricky and require teamwork." Xia Chuanyue explained while recalling the first time he heard about the trading post and Mercenary Union when he first came to this world.
