The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop-Chapter 272 - 13: The Fallen Noble Lady
These words made the girls who were forming teams hesitate, their glances toward each other becoming complex.
Lou Sha sneered in her heart, Walter is truly "capable," the grand promises he painted after the threats seem somewhat appealing and can fool some people.
"If I were you, I wouldn’t be crooked in my thinking right now; instead, I’d unite my team members, eliminate the other opponents first, and then decide on the final spots, wouldn’t I? Cute little girls, I’m looking forward to your performances. Hurry up, my patience is limited." Walter said this after seeing the girls’ reactions.
The girls, with their different thoughts, quickly formed their teams.
After the girls finished forming their teams, Walter took a torch from the side, circling around the room, looking over each girl. He reassembled the teams that didn’t have four people, ensuring that each team had four members. But when he got to Tianmiao, Lou Sha, and another girl, Walter scratched his head: "Why is there one less? Oh, right, I accidentally killed one just now."
Walter thought for a moment and said, "Do you want me to bring another girl, or just leave it like this? You have the right to request another lady to fight with you."
Lou Sha said coldly, "No need. I hope later you will receive retribution for killing without restraint, like, having your heart pierced, for instance."
Walter laughed heartily, "Oh? That sounds great. I hope you live long enough to pierce my heart. Maybe you might just get the chance; after all, I might step into the field myself. But who ends up piercing whose heart, we’ll have to see. Good luck, brave little girl." His tone dripped with sarcasm.
Walter then stood in front of everyone again and said, "To keep it short, once the bell rings, the game begins, and before the morning bell tolls, the two girls who make it out of this castle will receive the rewards I mentioned earlier. So, good luck, cute girls."
The girls’ expressions varied—some wept in despair, some were thrilled, and some looked numb.
Walter vanished at the doorway, and the Silver Armored Knight led the assigned people to several large doors, pushing the screaming girls inside one by one.
The girl grouped with Lou Sha glared at her indignantly, cursing softly, "Damn it, couldn’t you have him bring another person? How can we beat them being one person short? I think your brain’s been trampeled by a horse. What gives you the right to speak for us?"
Lou Sha glanced at the indignant girl and said coldly, "Another person would just be a burden. Are you coming with us or going on your own?"
"A burden? Do you think you’re the Heavenly God? More people mean more strength, don’t you know?" the girl accused loudly.
Lou Sha ignored her, taking Tianmiao’s hand and walking straight ahead.
All they heard was the girl behind struggling and screaming, "I don’t want to go in! I’ll die, we’re one person short, I have the right..."
Then, she was thrown directly through the door, which slammed shut behind her.
Looking forward once more, Lou Sha and Tianmiao had already disappeared from sight.
"Damn it! Wait for me!" she screamed, getting up and rushing inward.
Lou Sha and Tianmiao had reached a long corridor by then, illuminated only by candles placed at intervals along the walls, dim and eerie.
Tianmiao glanced around, pointed toward the ceiling, and called Lou Sha to look. Above the castle, instead of a ceiling, there was a very blurry something that looked like glass, and upon closer inspection, it seemed like there were some light flashes moving on it.
