The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss-Chapter 580: An Extreme Combat
"...Pandora, I think we should stop here. It’s been several days, and we’re at 0-58912... you have a look in your eyes like you want to kill me, and your smile is kind of disturbing," Azraelith says, her fists covered in blood.
"No, dearest big sister, I still need to stab you just a little bit! Don’t be so mean, I haven’t seen you on the ground yet, and I think I can do it now," I say, smiling at her.
"...Just this one more. This is starting to get dangerous, don’t you think? You’re already looking at me like an enemy. It won’t take much for this to turn into a fight to the death."
"Fine... just one more... it’s all I need," I form a 2-meter spear, using [Mercurial Hunter] to make the blade as dense as a planet. Its mass is so great that broken rocks from the ground begin to be pulled toward it.
"...A heavy weapon? Pandora, weight won’t help you hit me. You’re already slow without magic; why do you think getting slower will give you a chance?" She settles into a fighting stance.
"Don’t die, okay, sister! Because I’ve really taken all these losses to heart," I say, smiling as I spin the spear between my fingers like a helicopter rotor.
I increase its speed to the maximum, despite its weight, and then I hurl it at Azraelith. But at the moment of the throw, I increase the spear’s mass to that of a neutron star.
This makes the spin and the weight cause gravity to behave exactly like that of a star. It violently pulls me in the direction the spear is going, while also pulling my sister, drawing us both in with the intense gravitational force, just as it starts pulling in large chunks of rock.
I then reduce the spear’s mass to stop the gravity. The sudden release of the pull throws me directly at Azraelith as I kick with all my might. She blocks with her right arm, being hurled backward, while I form a bow and fire dozens of arrows at her, some of them hitting.
"!!!" She charges forward in an absurd rush, and since I’m slower, I create a wall with my divine weapon, but I make its mass so light it becomes a gaseous state, allowing Azraelith to pass through. I take advantage of this to kick her in the neck.
She grabs my leg, but I spin my entire body, twisting my foot and climbing on top of her, locking a leg scissors around her neck. I grab her head and try to twist to break her neck and stop her. One second; if she’s paralyzed for just one second, victory is mine.
"Aaaahh!!" She pulls me and slams me against the ground. I quickly fire several blades from my dress in a straight line to force her back, getting up with an acrobatic move and charging at her with bloodlust.
I create an immense war hammer and swing it down from above, trying to crush her. She catches it—a mistake I capitalize on by increasing the hammer’s mass to that of a star, generating an intense local gravitational pull.
But to my shock, my sister holds it with one hand and punches with the other, cracking my divine weapon, which doesn’t have Violet inside to make it unbreakable. I dispel the weapon because the gravity will only hinder me now.
’I will NOT lose again!! I’M GOING TO CUT THAT BITCH’S HEAD OFF!’ I’m furious with so many defeats. When she charges at me and tries to sweep my leg, I jump slightly, spinning my body and touching the ground, ending upside down.
I coil my body completely like a spring and then deliver a double dropkick to her face. I hear a crack; it’s the first time I’ve broken one of her bones with a direct attack.
She tries to kick through my body, but having taken this hit before, I violently lean my whole body to the side. This angle would break the bones of any normal being, but my flexible body managed it.
"Haa... Haaa..." We both leap backward as I pant, exhausted. Even without using magic, the constant regeneration I’ve had to undergo has drained me, and I was already low on magic before.
On top of that, my whole body trembles with the rage, adrenaline, bloodlust, and murderous intent I’m letting slip. How can I contain the urge to kill when she’s right in front of me like this?
’This is bad.’ I create a large sphere around myself, brutally increasing its mass to generate a dense defense. I hear a repetitive, thunderous sound pounding against the sphere, which begins to crack.
"Doing this without magic is so frustrating... oh... I... just had an idea." I compress the sphere until there’s little space inside, and I listen to the rhythm of her punches. When I know she’s about to throw one, I dispel the sphere and grab her arm, spinning my body and getting up above her head.
CRACK
"GAAAAAHHHH!!!" She screams in pain when I bite the Angelic Halo floating above her head, a spot I know hurts a lot when broken. Taking advantage of this tiny window, I kick her in the back, sending her to the ground, and climb on top of her.
Forming two daggers, I start madly and repeatedly stabbing her back in every vital point, also breaking each vertebra of her spine so she can’t move.
After all, she’s shown me many times that breaking the spine is the best way to temporarily stop us both, since magic is forbidden, she can’t use it for instant healing or to create a temporary substitute magical structure.
"I won, sister... Aaaahhh!!" I scream when I receive a kick to the back, feeling every bone in my body shatter. My body collapses on top of Azraelith, while my eyes turn to the culprit.
"!!!"
"0-58913 now, Pandora." Azraelith speaks as I look down, seeing nothing there.
"Magic was forbidden!"
"That’s not magic, nor an ability or a passive."
"Liar! I saw you! I-I hit you... I stabbed you..."
"No, you thought you hit me. That’s a mistake that happens when you’re full of bloodlust and murderous intent. You can trick the brain and create an illusion."
"The brains of most living beings see the present and try to predict the future. When you’re so consumed by bloodlust, that future predicted by the brain ends up interfering with reality, creating an error."
"I learned to do this in the past, when I came to the Abyss and found an enemy that could stop time for 2 seconds. That enemy had immense bloodlust, so to fool him, I used this."
"So when he stopped time, he thought he was attacking the me that was in front of him, when in reality I had jumped up and moved out of range of his ability. So he was attacking the very illusion he believed in."
"Why do you think that I, who represent Wrath, show almost no bloodlust? This is an easy trick to use when you let your bloodlust show, it’s easy to deceive."
"Normally, using this is difficult, but your brain, which thinks fast, processes information precisely, and tries to fill in the gaps to predict movements, deceived you. Take this as a life lesson, Pandora. Never let your bloodlust dictate an important fight."
"Your brain’s speed is what made you lose. Too bad, Pandora." She speaks as I bite the ground in frustration, tearing off and chewing a piece of rock. The taste is disgusting. 0 wins. In so many attempts, I haven’t brought her down once.
"Pandora, you’re simply too crazy. How did you think you could beat me even once with such a huge level difference?" She grabs my leg, lifting me and starting to carry me.
"I... I thought I could, after all, level doesn’t guarantee victory, right?"
"Only with slight differences, and using skills and magic. Someone at level 1000 could beat someone at level 1500 using tricks, skills, magic, and strategy."
"But you, at level 25B, could never beat me, who currently has power equivalent to 70B. That would be ridiculous, especially without using magic or skills. You did some good tricks with your weapon, but that’s all they are in the end—tricks." She gives this boring lecture as she enters the castle with me.
"...Are you hearing that sound?" She speaks, confused, while I give a huge smile. It’s the spear I threw. It returns, impossibly fast, cutting off Azraelith’s head as it tears through the wall beside us. Her body convulses for a moment, dropping me, while her tail grabs the fallen head and places it back.
"1-58913, big sister." I say to her, getting up from the ground, having regenerated, while I see the damage the spear, with such immense mass, caused coming in this direction.
"You cheating fuck!" She grabs me by the neck, her eyes blazing with rage as her neck reconnects to her head. I know she doesn’t die by decapitation, so from the beginning, I planned to decapitate her with the spear.
"I won, big sister! All my merit, no one told you to lower your guard." I feel satisfied for avenging all my defeats, even with a dirty victory.
"..." Azraelith looks at the spear, embedded in a distant wall because I reduced its mass to that of a normal spear after it hit Azraelith.
"You fucking piece of shit." She storms off furiously while I smile at her. She’ll calm down soon enough.
’Still... one win among so many defeats... she’s so strong...’ I thought my margin of victory was 1 in 100,000, but it seems my margin is 1 in a million.
"Damn, this big sister of mine turns me on." I grab my tail, which is dripping this viscous fluid. Being brought to a dangerous state so many times genuinely excites me.
"..." Still, I’m grateful for her help. So many defeats have shown me that even though I fight very well, I’m still not the only one good at handling the unexpected. In every fight with Azraelith, I tried different things, and she reacted well to most of them.
Fighting the goddesses will probably be even worse than this, especially Elysia. She must have an absurd capacity for perception and adaptation to situations because, like me, Elysia focuses on absolute versatility rather than absolute power.
"If I’m losing to my sister, who focuses on absolute power, then I’ll have serious problems against Elysia... this is terrible..." I wonder how to improve this. What makes my plans things that can be reacted to? What flaws am I making?
It’s always been like this. I’ve always made mistakes and fixed them before fighting my enemy. The same happened against the heroes, where before fighting them, I trained, saw my mistakes, and adjusted them.
Without that, I would never have beaten those who had absurdly powerful abilities. So with Elysia, it will be the same. In the end, all my important victories were the fruits of effort, planning, and instinct. I never had luck or help to obtain them.
’Speaking of Elysia, I wonder if Elena has already taken care of that damn hero summoning circle?’ I created a barrier around the castle, a barrier around the room, and a barrier around the summoning circle so no one could invade and try to activate it.
"Yeah, I think she must be doing a good job..." I stretch a little, wanting to take a shower and masturbate thinking about Azraelith. I’m so dirty with blood, dust, and rocks, and so in the mood for the "thing"!
