The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss-Chapter 568: Divine Weapons
A few days passed. I had several conversations with Violet in my free time, and my training with Azraelith was going well. After being provoked so much by my annoying clones, Azraelith had gained a passive skill: Patience.
Azraelith even hugged me excitedly. She said she’d never received anything related to patience before, because being the embodiment of Wrath reduces your chances of getting things that increase it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t gain any new passive skills or abilities, but that’s okay, because my levels are still increasing passively thanks to the trick I discovered.
Azraelith is also gaining levels passively because I arranged for us to split them fifty-fifty. Right now, I’m watching my mother, who’s observing our progress. We’re slowly climbing to the power level needed to kill the other goddesses.
"Pandora, can I ask why you’re stealing all the Mana from the monsters that die in the vicinity?" she asks, even though she already knows the answer. She even has a proud smile on her face, despite her interrogative tone.
"If you truly don’t know, then what guarantees that a lie from me wouldn’t work?" I ask in a slightly mocking tone, testing the waters. I’m always pushing boundaries like this.
"..." She stares at me in silence and takes a deep breath. Her monumental size, seated on her throne, is always a true spectacle to behold. And the stronger I get, the denser her Mana seems to become, because of my increased perception.
"You copied me without even knowing what I did. You could have done it more precisely and gained more levels. But since you didn’t want to tell me, I won’t give you the answers." She plays her cards in a way that hits me right where it hurts.
"Ah... fair enough." I got punished!! I can’t believe it!! I should have just told her. At least she didn’t mind my mockery and played along; she’s definitely a lot of fun to talk to.
"Here, Pandora. I called you here to help you with this." She changes the subject and throws something on the ground near me. The thing looks like a writhing gray mass.
"What is that?" I stare at the writhing mass trying to drag itself away. My mother seems a little disappointed that I don’t know.
"Since you don’t know, don’t try to find out. I’m serious."
"Just know that I want to help you awaken your divine weapon. You’re going to need it. Even though you have Violet, she’s not a direct physical weapon; she only possesses the weapons you’re currently using. And that won’t be enough against divine weapons." She says something I’d never really thought about.
’My divine weapon... just like Delphina’s.’ Delphina’s are daggers that resemble shark fangs, a weapon that suits her well.
"Don’t divine weapons appear on their own?" I ask, confused. Delphina said mine would appear on its own in time, so I kind of completely ignored the existence of such weapons, thinking it would just happen naturally.
"Not exactly. A divine weapon is simply a direct manifestation of the divine soul as an object. It means the weapon will have a form and power based on your soul."
"You just need to manifest your soul as a weapon outside your body. It’s not that complicated. This here is my weapon. It’s called the Chakra of Destruction." She speaks as a weapon materializes in her hand.
It’s a black and red weapon, shaped like a large black circle with a dark red outer blade.
"It has the ability to negate any form of immortality or regeneration. It can wound the soul and the mana pathways. In short, it’s a weapon focused on destruction." She spins the weapon between her fingers as she explains.
"I see. Strangely fitting for you, Mother." I say, excited to get my own weapon.
"Now, daughter, I’m going to teach you how to summon your divine weapon. I’m curious to see what it will be. And I’m sure it will be one of the strongest divine weapons, because you’ll be able to place Violet inside it and it won’t break. Honestly, I’d love to have a weapon like Violet by my side." Her words catch me slightly off guard.
’It’s true... Violet is incredible... even if I don’t use her that much, she’s a powerful weapon.’ The biggest problem is that every weapon I put Violet into breaks when she leaves it, so a weapon that doesn’t break would be incredibly useful.
"But before that, Pandora, what do you think of your sister?"
"...Are you asking about her personality, or her body?"
"Both."
"Her body is hot, and she’s good in bed. As for her personality... she’s intense, but I’d almost say childlike. She adores you in a way that’s too foolish, and she has very little sense of her own will."
"...I agree."
"Really?" I didn’t think she’d agree with my view of Azraelith, since I’m basically saying her extremely subservient personality is a bad thing.
"Yes. I never wanted a puppet that blindly does everything. I created daughters, not dolls. Azraelith could be so much stronger, smarter, and more useful if she acted less like a willless puppet." When she says this, I blush a little. It’s great to see her being so loving, despite the somewhat cruel way she phrases it. Her love for us as daughters is obvious.
"Pandora, I know what you’re thinking. And I truly don’t mind that you’re trying to ’help’ Azraelith become a little more selfish, so she can make her own choices. As long as you both keep getting stronger for me, it’s fine."
"I don’t expect much from Azraelith anyway. Her choosing for herself would be better than her blindly trying to gain my approval, because I highly doubt she’ll ever get it."
"Then if Azraelith acted like me, would you love her?"
"I doubt that too, but I would accept her as a proper daughter. However, I don’t need two Pandoras. You alone are enough for me." When she says that, I just breathe. I guess that’s the best I’m going to get.
"Pandora, you act in such an amusing way."
"?"
"You’re bold, arrogant, and undoubtedly chaotic, but you always stay within acceptable limits with me. You’re such an opportunist that you manage to remain my favorite."
"..."
"I’m the most important one here. I’m not going to destroy the favoritism I have just because of Azraelith. I have more self-love than I have desire to help her gain your interest."
"That sounds mean." She says this with that sweet smile on her face that she can’t hide.
"I am mean. I’m already being quite kind by helping her try to be happier. That’s the most she’ll ever get from me. And that’s because I love her. So, since she won’t have your love, I’ll give her my love! I have a big heart! There’s always room for one more pretty girl." I’m not going to sacrifice what I have for her. I’m already doing my best.
"...That’s why I adore you, Pandora." She smiles at me, a big, satisfied smile.
"Let’s begin. I’ll help you awaken your divine weapon as quickly as possible. After that, you can go brag to your older sister about it. Also, I commend you on your progress. I’m pleased with how quickly we’re advancing our plans."
"Thank you, Mother!" I say, excited by the praise.
...
...
...
"Hehehe, that’s it, girl!! That’s how you do it!!" That girl named Violet speaks arrogantly to Baeh’Wa, who is on all fours on the floor, serving as Violet’s chair.
"So you’re a special-grade weapon?" I look at this ’girl’ who is so strange. She doesn’t look like a special-grade weapon, but I guess you can’t judge too much by appearance.
"Yes!! That’s right, Azraelith! Pandora might not have talked about me much to you! But I’m Pandora’s best friend!! And her weapon!" She speaks all pompously, as if that were something incredible.
"Uh-huh... Baeh’Wa could defeat you in one blow. Aren’t you being a bit arrogant, using her as a chair?" Pandora ordered Baeh’Wa to serve me for the next few days, so I could train sex with her.
"Doesn’t matter!! She’s a servant!!! She must serve!!! That’s her duty!" Violet speaks in a way that irritates me, especially since she’s stating the obvious.
’Pandora should reconsider her friendships...’ A special-grade weapon. I wish I had one. They’re incredibly powerful, have amazing abilities, and don’t break. I was forced to create a fighting style entirely focused on my fists because weapons can’t withstand my Mana.
"So, Pandora left you here with me to help me with a spell I have." I tell her, and she rolls her eyes.
"I know! I know! And you can be sure I’ll do a great job! I manipulate fate!! I’ll make you choose the best options! After all, you’re so... b-brilliant..." She was about to insult me, but upon seeing my expression, she changes her wording. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"So you’re a weapon that alters fate?..." I feel a pang of envy. If I had a weapon that could do that, I would never have been sealed by those bitches. But I swallow the envy.
"Yes, it’s my specialty! I can do many things with fate! Although it’s a bit costly! So I depend a lot on Pandora’s magic! But Pandora has so much magic now! It’s almost delicious!"
"So you don’t need to worry! You just need to think of various methods, and I’ll choose the destiny for the next few hours where you chose the right method! So think of as many methods as possible!!"
’It’s undeniably a very useful ability... it makes training progress incredibly fast... it’s almost cheating.’ I nod affirmatively, starting to think about all the methods I think might work.
