Chapter 449: Chapter 448: The Great Battle (Part 2)

"Damn it, all in! Feng Qi, keep an eye on us from above and pull us up!" Feng Yao gulped down a mouthful of Jasmine Tea, unleashing his full Level 6 superpower, and leaped down following the others.

"Shit! Old Feng!" In Feng Qi’s hands, a gigantic Cannibal Flower materialized and was thrown down, its end connected to a vine linked to his fingers.

Utilizing the vine, he desperately controlled the gigantic Cannibal Flower, pouring out his energy, while his fellow brothers by his side naturally did not dare show any weakness.

But there were too many zombies, so many that even superpowers alone could not fully fend them off.

The fragile earthen wall that had been erected as a temporary barrier at the gate was swarmed over by zombies, coming one after another; their sharp claws pierced into the wall, and with every scratch, they brought out clumps of black soil.

Hit after hit, the earthen wall began to crack, first in the middle, then gradually expanding to both sides, slowly forming a spider web pattern.

Pairs of white, crazily rolling eyeballs moved closer to the cracks, watching the people protected within the walls, with their strange howling echoing across the entire sky.

"Ah! Run! It’s going to fall!"

The ordinary people who had been cowering in the back continually ran backwards. They crowded along the riverbank, yet they could no longer move forward an inch.

At some point, the opposite shore of the river was also teeming with zombies, one after another, even making the contaminated black river water appear to boil in agitation.

The chaos here left the superpower users unable to pay attention, as everyone defended the gate that was about to be breached, exhausting the last bit of their superpower, each with an expression of readiness to face death.

Su Mo’s entire right hand was soaked in red, and she could no longer tell how many zombies she had killed, but the place where Zhao Changsheng fell was constantly overrun by zombies, and she was moving over too slowly.

She looked up and shouted to Feng Qi above, who was controlling the Cannibal Flower, "Go to Zhao Changsheng’s side! Pull them up!"

The Jasmine Tea in her hand was finished, and the Thunder Ball in Zhao Changsheng’s hand was getting weaker. She was shielded by Li Qian as they cleared away the zombies, piling up like a mountain outside the gate, then he pushed her to the gateway, protecting her tightly with his own body, though his head throbbed painfully, his superpower did not stop for a moment.

Above them, Feng Qi had already noticed the two’s movements. A wood vine whipped out towards them as he roared, "Up here!"

Li Qian freed a hand stained with much black blood, grabbed the wood vine, and quickly wrapped it around Zhao Changsheng’s waist, whispering warmly, "You go up first."

"Together!" Zhao Changsheng tried to shake off the wood vine and saw the approaching zombies behind Li Qian, yelling, "Behind you!"

Li Qian wasn’t particularly stout, his frame even slightly lean. As he turned to face the oncoming zombies, Zhao Changsheng felt a strong ache in her nose.

"Go up!" He looked to the side, his black eyes brimming with a gentleness that was almost spilling over.

A Level 5 Zombie, with its huge gaping mouth, charged straight towards his head to take a bite.

Zhao Changsheng immediately tried to reach him, but the wood vine at her waist suddenly yanked upwards, pulling her rapidly aloft.

"Damn it! Li Qian!"

An iron-like fist, with bone spurs piercing out from the knuckles, emerged from nowhere as Feng Yao smashed his fist into the zombie’s head.

With just one blow, the zombie’s head burst open, shattering.

His towering figure, like a giant, stood directly in front of Li Qian; the swarming zombies were lifted by him with one hand, smashing them into each other, their deaths pitiful.

Su Mo had been keeping an eye on the battle on the other side, but now, she suddenly let out a sigh of relief.

With her heart finally slowing down, she and Li Qian regrouped; the four of them guarded the gate.

Rong Bai and the superpower users’ powers were weakening, and the ground began to tremble again.

The bodies in front of them had piled up like mountains, but Su Mo’s heart felt an unspeakable heaviness, she knew that the real danger was still to come.

Yang Yichu, who had remained still in the distance, started to move.

He was controlling a Level 6 zombie that was heading straight for them.

"They’re going to attack the gate," she whispered, her right hand’s Wooden Shield transforming into a spindle, staring unblinkingly at the person on the giant’s shoulder.

Her apparent intent to attack seemed to have enraged the little figure on the shoulder.

It was coming faster now, the murderous intent palpable even hundreds of meters away.

Even Feng Yao, a Level 6 Superpower User, felt a strong palpitation, "What kind of monster is this!"

Su Mo had mixed feelings, she could feel the malice emanating from Lu Chen beside her, directly challenging Yang Yichu.

She had a plan to use the Treasure Bag from her System Bag, trying to catch Ling Ye and put it in, but the zombie was too tall, which made this plan very difficult. More importantly, without deliberate constraints, this refugee camp would be overrun by zombies sooner or later.

For their superpowers were already running low.

When the enemy charged over, any zombie that failed to dodge in time was directly crushed under the foot of the giant Bone Spur zombie.

A white Samoyed also dashed out, biting into Feng Yao’s transformed silver hard skin.

The insignificant feeling of the bite led the man to kick the dog away with one foot, and then, more Mutant Dogs came out from the side.

For a time, the tightly grouped individuals had to split up to deal with these zombie dogs, and Su Mo’s attacks were fast. To her, these Level 3 Mutant Dogs were hardly a threat, but after killing several in a row, a gust of wind whistled past her ear, messing up her hair.

A hand that was all muscle and bone reached beyond her and punched Feng Yao, who was next to her, sending him flying through the already trembling gate.

The wall built by the Earth Element Superpower User collapsed with a thunderous crash, and the zombies outside boiled over, their spines jutting out high, ready to launch their attack.

The people inside were screaming frantically, hiding everywhere.

The giant zombie, seemingly ignoring Su Mo, reached for the top of the earthen wall, where Rong Bai and a few soldiers were still standing on the platform.

Lu Chen, without a thought, charged forward, his body fiercely gathering Ice Blades.

The Ice Blade, infused with Ice Element energy, plunged into the giant zombie’s calf, and the Cold Ice poured out with the blade, freezing the giant’s leg.

Li Qian also took the opportunity to launch his final psychic attack, which resulted in searing pain ripping through his head, his eyes bleeding, and him painfully kneeling on the ground.

Zhao Changsheng, dragged up to the city wall, was frantic with worry and immediately went to grab the collar of Feng Qi beside him, "Pull them up! Pull them up!"

"I’d like to, but look over there! We can’t even get through!" Feng Qi was also desperate.

In front of the platform beside them, the behemoth was frozen in place. Rong Bai, regardless of his depleted superpower reserves, was attacking furiously, hoping to hit Yang Yichu on the giant’s shoulder.

But to no avail.

All their superpowers were futile; the frozen leg shattered just seconds later.
