The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 69: Wanton and Flirtatious
Yelena Hughes cursed quietly.
Despicable and shameless.
She remained silent, and on the other end of the phone, Jasper Yale spoke in an almost commanding tone, "Have you thought it through?"
"Did Young Master Yale even give me a chance to consider it?"
"Then just come over directly. Let me remind you, don’t ask questions you shouldn’t."
Yelena Hughes grabbed a piece of tissue from the table, squeezing it in her hand, "I’m afraid I won’t be able to hold my tongue."
"It’s okay. When you can’t, I’ll remind you. Call you Mimi, and you’ll behave."
"..."
The call ended, and Dean Holloway, seeing her in a daze, pulled up a chair, "What’s wrong?"
Yelena Hughes almost ground her teeth to dust, but in the end, she could only shake her head, "Nothing much."
"Is it about the interview?"
"Yeah."
Dean Holloway chuckled, "You’d call this one mistake a thousand years of regret, right? Nancy Alden holds a grudge against you. Why do you think she wants you to do the interview? Isn’t it just to show you how loving she is with Young Master Yale?"
"And what if I see that?"
"It’ll make you feel bad."
Yelena Hughes placed her phone on the table, "I don’t feel bad."
"I don’t believe it. Didn’t you and Jasper Yale develop feelings while sleeping together?"
Her sleep was highly deprived every day, even dreaming about making money quickly. Yelena Hughes opened her laptop and started browsing information about the Alden Family’s pharmaceutical company.
The interview was scheduled for a bright and sunny day, and Yelena Hughes felt quite anxious along the way.
The secretary in charge of reception led her and Dean Holloway to an office, knocked on the door, "President Alden, the reporters are here."
"Let her in."
After the door opened, Yelena Hughes walked in a couple of steps.
Nancy Alden sat on the sofa, meticulously dressed, with makeup and hair freshly done, while another man sat in a boss chair near the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Jasper Yale glanced behind Yelena Hughes, "One person is enough. The rest can leave."
Dean Holloway stopped in his tracks, well, if he had to go, he’d go.
He followed the secretary outside to wait, while Yelena Hughes greeted the two, "Can we start?"
"Yes, please sit." Nancy Alden gestured to the seat opposite.
In contrast to her, Yelena Hughes wore something very plain, a black turtleneck sweater and dark blue skinny jeans.
Her long hair was tied in the back, with small curls left on both sides, with a slight wavy arc.
At first glance, Jasper Yale’s eyes landed on her chest.
She sat up straight, with a particularly pleasing bust shape.
Yelena Hughes prepared the recorder and began the interview. "Miss Alden, I heard you’re officially taking over Southcrest Pharmaceuticals. Could you tell us more about this company?"
"Sure."
Yelena Hughes listened attentively, but whenever she looked at Nancy Alden, she couldn’t help but see Jasper Yale behind her.
When their gazes met, she hastily looked away, missing what Nancy Alden was saying.
Jasper Yale picked up the cigarette box on the table, brought a cigarette to his lips with ease.
This man, every move he made was lethal in its allure. Yelena Hughes wasn’t too familiar with him, yet they knew each other’s bodies so well.
So familiar that with a simple raise of Jasper Yale’s hand, she could recall the tactile excitement of his hand roaming over her body.
The flick of the lighter was heard crisp and clear.
Nancy Alden immediately turned her head, with a tone carrying a playful reproach, "Jasper, you’re smoking!"
"What’s wrong with smoking?"
"This is the office, I don’t want to breathe in secondhand smoke."
Jasper Yale laughed, stood up, "Alright."
He walked over to them, placing the ashtray on the coffee table, closer to Yelena Hughes.
She wanted to push it towards him, but Jasper Yale had already stood before her, leaning down, his shadow looming over her face.
Most of the cigarette was stubbed out, and as Jasper lifted his gaze, his eyes swept over Yelena Hughes’s neck.
With such high heating in the room, what was she covering up so well for?
Afraid of someone seeing?
As Jasper Yale passed by Nancy Alden, he asked, "Tired?"
"We’ve only gone through two questions, not tired."
"Alright then, carry on."
Jasper Yale sat back in his chair, a large floor-to-ceiling window behind him, white clouds drifting overhead—a beautiful view, a handsome man, crafting the most beautiful picture.
Jasper Yale’s gaze on Yelena Hughes was unrestrained.
Nancy Alden, with her back turned, would never notice the amorous look in his eyes right now.
Midway through the interview, Nancy Alden got tired, feeling uncomfortable sitting.
"Jasper."
"Hmm?"
"Carry me to rest for a moment."
Yelena Hughes saw Jasper walking over, but her interview wasn’t finished yet.
Nancy Alden said apologetically, "I can’t sit for too long; my legs will swell. Can you wait for a moment?"
Yelena Hughes could only say yes, what else could she do?
She sat waiting on the sofa while Jasper carried Nancy Alden into the adjacent resting room, "Lie down here first, call me when you feel comfortable."
"Leaving her there, won’t it be rude?"
Jasper Yale pulled the quilt higher, "Nothing rude about it, it’s her job."
"I’ll only be lying down for a while, you go out first."
Yelena Hughes thought Jasper would stay inside with her, but the man soon came out, gently closing the door.
She saw him approaching step by step, seemingly coming for her, and her back stiffened slightly.
Jasper Yale stopped in front of her, with her gaze almost at his waist, feeling awkward, Yelena Hughes quickly averted her face.
"Wearing so much, aren’t you hot?"
Yelena Hughes didn’t expect the heating to be so high here; her neck was nearly cooked from the heat. "It’s alright."
"Got more clothes on underneath? Take it off."
Her skin tingled with embarrassment; she spoke quietly, "Young Master, doesn’t the office have poor soundproofing?"
With Nancy Alden lying inside, what did he intend to do?
"Never tested the soundproofing, shall we give it a try?"
Yelena Hughes quickly shifted aside, using the interview sheet to fan her face, "No idea how long Miss Alden needs to rest. Maybe I should just take a look around and take some pictures?"
"Still going to The Sovereign Club tonight?"
The fanning stopped, her eyes smoldering with slight anger. "I’m here for the interview now."
"You go first, I’ll come later and choose you."
Yelena Hughes looked up at him, never expecting he would act so brazenly on Nancy Alden’s turf.
Seeing her silent, Jasper Yale simply sat on the coffee table, stretching out his hand to place it on Yelena Hughes’s leg.
She gasped, her eyes darting around, "Don’t do this."
With people coming and going outside, what if someone came in?
Yelena Hughes placed her hand to push away, but Jasper gripped her hand instead, "Wearing such tight clothes, was it specially for me?"
"Young Master, I just picked out a random outfit, nothing more."
Jasper Yale rested his elbow on his own long leg, his stance casual, "Do you know what I was thinking while sitting there?"
The back of Yelena Hughes’s hand itched as Jasper’s thumb rubbed against it. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Was Young Master thinking how great Miss Alden is, how she speaks so eloquently during interviews..."
Jasper pressed firmly at the base of her thumb, "I was thinking, next time... whether to take you in the room, or the hallway?"
