The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 35: My Heart Hurts Too
Jasper Yale entered the private room, and Chester came over to greet him, "Young master, shall I have Mimi come over?"
Hailey Jenkins glanced at Jasper Yale’s expression. The man sat there, legs crossed, and uttered two words from his thin lips, "No need."
"Then someone else?"
"No need."
Hailey Jenkins waved Chester away to dismiss her.
Yelena Hughes was sitting in the lounge, applying a band-aid to her heel. She was still not used to wearing high heels, her feet were blistered, scabbed, scarred, and blistered again—a real mess.
Una glanced over, "Hmph, so pretentious."
The girls here looked down on women prettier than themselves. From the moment Yelena Hughes arrived, she had become a thorn in everyone’s side.
Not only was she good-looking, but she was also sexy.
The supervisor opened the door and called for Yelena Hughes, "Mimi, come out quickly."
Her eyes were filled with deep disgust, but she had no choice but to stand up.
"What are you pretending for? It’s not like you’re not getting paid." Una bumped into Yelena Hughes’ waist as she passed by. Though Yelena was in pain, she didn’t say anything.
She didn’t want to cause trouble; she just wanted to be a turtle hiding her head, waiting quietly for the drug to hit the market.
Yelena Hughes carried the drinks ordered by the guests and arrived at the door of the private room. The door was ajar, with voices emanating from inside.
"How did your goddess end up as a hostess? Don’t you feel sorry for her?"
"If she had married me back then, would she have had to live like this?" Charles Chambers puffed on his cigarette. Now he had bought a house, drove a BMW, and was living the good life.
Just as she was about to push the door, she heard her name.
"But Yelena Hughes is beautiful. Coming to a place like this, she earns money quickly."
She quickly withdrew her hand. Listening to the voices, they sounded somewhat familiar. Through the crack in the door, Yelena Hughes recognized the faces of a few people; they had all been in the same class as her in college.
Yelena stepped back. No, she couldn’t let them see her like this.
If so, the whole class would know, even the teacher who had high hopes for her would know.
Yelena Hughes could not afford to lose face like this.
The supervisor came over and looked at her disapprovingly, "Why are you just standing there? Don’t keep people waiting."
Yelena Hughes lowered her voice, "I can’t."
"What can’t you do?"
"Can you get someone else? I suddenly feel unwell..."
The supervisor lost her patience, "They asked specifically for you, stop dawdling." She grabbed Yelena Hughes’ wrist, but Yelena refused to move, and the drinks on the tray swayed.
Nervousness made Yelena Hughes stronger, and she broke free from the supervisor’s hand.
She lost her footing in her high heels, fell backward, and collided with someone, causing the green tea on the tray to spill all over her chest.
The supervisor looked at the man behind her, visibly shocked, "Y-Young master."
The tray in Yelena Hughes’ hand was taken away by Jasper Yale, who handed it to the supervisor, "Take this."
She hesitated for a moment but quickly took it.
Jasper Yale glanced at the stain on Yelena Hughes’ chest, "Let her clean up before coming over."
"Sure, no problem." The supervisor nodded and bowed to him.
Jasper Yale grabbed Yelena Hughes by the arm and walked forward. Although she didn’t want to move, she was forcibly dragged by him.
She didn’t know why Charles Chambers and the others happened to request her specifically. Could it be because of that name?
Yelena Hughes punched Jasper Yale’s arm, and the man turned to look at her, "Are you crazy?"
Her fists rained down like a flurry, posing no real threat. Jasper Yale asked coldly, "Where are your own clothes?"
"I haven’t finished my work yet."
Jasper Yale stopped a girl who was about to deliver drinks, "Which way is the lounge?"
She pointed, "Go to the end, then up to the third floor."
Jasper Yale dragged her all the way to the lounge door, shoved it open, and pushed her inside.
Yelena Hughes closed the door behind her and locked it. She just wanted to hide here and not go out.
Jasper Yale waited a few minutes, and seeing nothing happening inside, he knocked on the door, "You better hurry up and come out!"
Yelena Hughes said nothing. She knew she couldn’t get past this. Going after news, she feared no hardship or exhaustion, but now her dignity had been crushed, pinned down in such a miserable place.
"Yelena Hughes!"
Yelena Hughes covered her ears with her hands, "Get lost!"
He really didn’t hear wrong. She told him to get lost?
Anger flared in Jasper Yale’s eyes, "If you don’t open up, I’ll kick the door down."
Still no response from inside, so Jasper Yale gave her a final chance, "Causing such a scene, do you want everyone to come and watch?"
Yelena Hughes was like a turtle hiding its head; his voice was still so clear.
She quickly stepped forward and opened the door, but retreated once more as Jasper Yale entered the lounge step by step. Her back was against the cabinet. "I’m not going."
"Isn’t it your job?"
Her face was still as pale as a sheet of paper, "I’m not earning this money today."
Jasper Yale’s fingers stretched out to hook her chin, raising her face, "Your lips are so red, it’s hideous."
There was a pack of wet wipes on the table beside them. Jasper Yale took one out and wiped the bright red color off her lips completely.
Yelena Hughes struggled, "What are you doing?"
"It doesn’t look good like this."
"I don’t need to look good." Yelena Hughes turned her chin away. Jasper Yale lowered his gaze and saw her clutching the cabinet door with one hand.
If she was unwilling, why debase herself by coming to such a place?
"Let’s go."
Yelena Hughes pleaded in her eyes, "Really, I can’t, I don’t want to go."
"If you don’t go today, are you going to keep hiding tomorrow? And in the future?"
Since those people came for her specifically, she couldn’t escape.
Jasper Yale placed his hand over Yelena Hughes’ and pried her fingers open. Her palm was ice-cold, "The Young master personally troubles himself even for a little thing like making Miss Alden happy?"
He led Yelena Hughes out of the lounge, and after a few steps, he asked her, "What does this have to do with Nancy?"
Yelena Hughes found herself immersed in the upcoming mortification, saying nothing.
Forget it, let it go.
They’re the guests. If they want to see her fall from grace, she’ll comply.
The supervisor was still waiting at the private room’s door. Seeing Yelena Hughes dressed as she was, her face fell, "Do you not want to do this anymore?"
Jasper Yale cast her a sidelong glance, "This is none of your business."
He pushed open the door, and Yelena Hughes instinctively tried to hide behind him. Jasper Yale hooked an arm around her shoulder and walked inside with her.
Inside, Charles Chambers had grown impatient. Spotting Yelena Hughes, a look of excitement immediately spread across his face.
"Yelena Hughes?" He feigned surprise, "How come you’re here?"
"Hey," he quickly shouted outside, "Where’s the person I ordered? Why aren’t they here yet?"
The supervisor glanced at Yelena Hughes. Wasn’t she right here?
But she dared not say anything. Why did she feel that the situation between this girl and Jasper Yale seemed ambiguous?
Charles Chambers’ gaze returned to Yelena Hughes, asking in astonishment, "It’s not you, is it?"
