The Broken Halo-Chapter 194: Ritual Ingredients
Simon could not deny that he did not enjoy teasing Lilith a little bit, and it even made him more satisfied when he knew that Lilith was way older than him.
He could hear her grumbles and curses in his head, and it made him chuckle.
[Alright. Alright. Sorry. Can I ask my question now?]
Lilith scoffed. [After insulting me?]
[I apologized sincerely.]
[Sincerely my ass! I can see your lips twitching! You’re about to laugh!]
Simon placed his hand on his mask, and he nearly struggled to stifle his laugh. It nearly spilled out of his lips with a reckless abandon.
He inhaled deeply, then he exhaled deeply. He did this a few times, then he finally controlled his laugh and his facial expression.
[See. I never laughed.]
Lilith wanted to beat the shit out of Simon, but she was current very weak and she needed time to recover.
However, she inwardly promised to teach Simon a lesson.
[Can I ask my question now?]
Simon asked once again, and Lilith harrumphed.
[Ask.]
[Alright... I want to know what the name of my Daemon bloodline is. I usually call it Daemon Tiger, but I instinctively know it’s wrong.]
[Your instincts are correct. Your bloodline is not called Daemon Tiger but the Byakko Bloodline. That’s the name of the demonic beast in you.]
"Byakko." Simon mumbled the name softly, then Lilith spoke.
[The Byakko was also called the Sky Tiger, and it’s actually one of the strongest daemons beasts. It can be compared to dragons, and some Byakko have even slain dragons during my time.]
Simon raised a brow in surprise.
[The Sky Tiger is that powerful?]
Lilith snotted.
[You’ve not even fully awakened your bloodline. How would you know how powerful it is.]
Simon nodded in understanding. He had only touched the tip of the iceberg when it came to the Sky Tiger bloodline, but as long as he lived and got stronger, he’ll unearth more of his bloodline.
[You said there’s a way for me to transform my one-horned demon bloodline into a Daemon bloodline, tell me.]
Lilith hummed for a few seconds, then she responded.
[Well, what you’ll need to do is a ritual.]
Simon frowned as he could guess that this ritual would not be pleasant.
[There are several ingredients you’ll need for the ritual. You’ll need the skull of a two-horned demon. The stronger the better, and it should not have any flesh on it, only its horns and bones.]
[You’ll need the beating heart of a demon who has awakened his or her Daemon bloodline like the descendant of the Shadow Monarch. It can be any bloodline. And if you are lucky, you just need a vial of a Daemon’s blood.]
[You’ll also need either ninety nine (99) demon hearts of two-horned demons, three hundred and ninety nine (399) demon hearts of one-horned demons, or six hundred and sixty six (666) demon hearts of various demon species if you cannot find ninety nine (99) demon hearts of two-horned demons.]
[You’ll also need to break or cut off your horn.]
[You’ll need a living vessel of any demon specie, but I’ll recommend a two-horned demon. The purpose of the living vessel is so that he or she can absorb the impurities that would be expelled from your one-horned demon bloodline.]
[You also need to perform this ritual in a land that is soaked in the blood of at least ten thousand demons. Graveyards are excluded from this because they are not soaked in blood.]
[These are just the ingredients you need. As for the array, formations, and all, I’ll tell you when you need them.]
Simon’s gaze was extremely dark after hearing the ingredients of the ritual.
None of the ingredients were easy to get, and maybe the only two ingredients that were easy to obtain are his horn and the living vessel.
’But she also recommended that I use a two-horned demon for the living vessel.’
’Sigh.’
’Two-horned demons are noble demons and they’re not weak in the slightest. How do I find a settlement of at least ninety nine two-horned demons who are weak enough for me to kill before I become an Archfiend?’
’And even the beating heart of a demon who has awakened their Daemon bloodline to the point Thorgan did, how do I find somebody like that?’
’How do I find a living Daemon who would be willing to offer me their blood?’
’How do I also find a land that has been soaked with the blood of at least ten thousand demons?’
’Lands like that are usually locations where extremely terrible wars were fought, but those famous lands can have powerful demons roaming across them because of treasures.’
’Getting to those places is not going to be easy at all for me... This is so annoying and difficult. What do I do?’
Simon had some other things he wanted to ask and was curious about, but he decided to ask these questions later.
He needed time to process everything Lilith told him, and he had a feeling that if he asked Lilith any more questions, he might truly get a headache.
Sigh
Simon released a sigh, then he stopped walking.
He looked in front of him, and he saw the entrance of the academy. He glanced at the obsidian monolith floating above, then he took a nonchalant glance at two Initiates who were taking subtle glances at him.
It looked like they were having a conversation, but Simon knew that their main focus was on him.
"I guess it’s time."
Simon indifferently walked past the obsidian monolith, and he felt his Grave Mark heat up for a moment as the monolith registered that he was leaving the academy.
When he stepped out of the academy, nothing occurred.
There were no attacks, no blockage, nothing.
But the moment Simon was nearly hundred meters away from the academy entrance, over a dozen figures suddenly appeared at the entrance of the academy, their cold eyes staring at Simon’s back with hatred and killing intent.
"Follow him."
