Chapter 177: 177: Shadow Enforcers

"Arrrggghhh!!!!"

The Year Two Initiate with the glass mask fell on his knees and screamed in pain as soon as he lost his arm.

Blood spurted out of his severed arm and shoulder in copious amount, causing the clean floors of the cafeteria to become extremely dirty and stained with blood.

Blood flowed underneath Simon’s feet, and drops fell from his claws and right hand as he stared at the screaming child before him.

Even though this was his senior in both age and class, to Simon, he was still a child in his eyes.

He turned and faced the frozen Grey Fang, and with his cold, indifferent, and merciless sky blue eyes, he stared into the black eyes of Grey Fang.

"The longer you go without transfering all your merits to me, the more you and your friends would suffer at my hands."

Grey Fang and Red Fang were too stunned to speak, and even the metal masked Year Two Initiate had a stunned expression despite the pain he felt.

Those who were eating, stopped eating, and those who were serving food, stopped serving food.

Everybody was in complete and utter disbelief as they stared at Simon and the screaming glass masked Initiate.

Seeing that nobody was answering him, he shook his head and released a sigh, but in the next moment, his pupils constricted into pinholes as his instincts rang warning bells in his mind.

He took quick three steps to the back, his feet exhibiting a dance and agility that he once used as the Hero of Earth.

Bang!

A flaming fist crashed into the ground where he previously stood and Simon, shattering the ground and flames began to burn the tables and chairs close to the source of the flaming fist.

"I don’t care anymore. You will die, right here, right now."

Red Fang growled in fury, and the sound of a heartbeat could be heard from Red Fang. The air around him became a fiery haze, and a ripple pulsed across him.

Simon’s expression became solemn, but there was not a tinge of fear in them.

"Red Fang! Stop! We’ll deal with him outside the academy! Not inside! Do not use your chaos here!" Grey Fang shouted as he tried to approach Red Fang and stop him, but whips of fire suddenly shot out from Red Fang’s back, causind Grey Fang to step back and distance himself from Red Fang.

"You want me to stop after what he did to Blue Fang?! He dies! Right now!"

The whips of fire behind Red Fang moved toward Simon at a fast speed.

And Simon’s pupils calmly saw and projected the path of the whips.

’Six whips in total. Not a problem.’

He took a step to the side, dodging the first whip.

Bent his head backward, dodging the second whip.

Spun while sliding his feet, dodging the third and fourth whip.

Then he grabbed the fifth and sixth whip with his Chaos Wrapped hands.

An emerald-orange demonic light glowed across his entire arm and hand, and Simon pulled with all his strength.

"What?"

Red Fang was shocked when he found himself stumbling forward toward Simon, but he was experienced and had been brutally taught by the academy for a year.

He quickly regained his composure and slammed his foot on the ground, causing the ground to crack, then he pulled.

In a second, a tug of war happened between the two, and Simon’s eyes flashed with a cunning and calculating light.

He let go of the fire whips, causing Red Fang’s eyes to widen in shock, disbelief, and rage.

He fell backward and landed on his back and head.

Bang!

He hissed in pain as the fall was too sudden and he was not prepared for it at all. But he quickly shrugged it off because he instantly knew that this was not a battle he could take with levity.

Simon was not like a typical Year One Initiate.

He was frightening.

He was a monster.

He had battle experience.

He was too calm.

And he was too fearless.

Red Fang knew that he had to treat this battle as a life and death battle, as a battle where it felt like his life was on the line.

Because if he lost?

His reputation would be gone, and it would not be surprising if he got kicked out of the Iron Fangs as a result.

Meanwhile, Simon was about to continue attacking Red Fang after he fell.

Just because he fell did not mean he was going to stop.

Momentum.

That was what he loved doing in battles.

Once there was any slight momentum in his favour, he would take it and increase it.

But just as he took a step forward, his expression drastically changed and he froze.

He glanced down at his shadow without moving his head, then he inhaled softly and lowered his arms.

He stood without doing anything, and he just stared at Red Fang in silence.

Grey Fang who was about to stop Simon from attacking Red Fang was confused when he saw that Simon stopped moving, but his expression suddenly changed a moment later and he gasped.

His head snapped in Red Fang’s direction, and his pupils constricted when he saw a black gloved hand rise from Red Fang’s shadow as he was trying to get up.

’Shit. They’re here just as I feared.’

Grey Fang shook his head with an annoyed and disappointed expression, then he also stood still like Simon.

A thought suddenly appeared in Grey Fang’s mind, and he glanced at Simon.

’He was clearly about to continue his attack on Red Fang, but he stopped. Did he know those guys were already here? But that should be impossible. He’s just a First Year student. How could he? Just who is that bastard?’

Simon could feel the gaze of Grey Fang, but he didn’t care. His attention was on the black gloved hand that was slowly rising from Red Fang’s shadow.

In the next moment, a hand grabbed his shoulder from behind, and a hand grabbed Red Fang’s long dark orange hair and slammed Red Fang into the ground.

Bang!

Simon calmly glanced at the gloved hand on his shoulder without doing anything, and he frowned.

’Just as I guessed, the Shadow Enforcers are here.’
