Chapter 307: Matching Suits

Emily just stood there listening to him as he spoke from the depth of his heart, she could feel it through their mate bond just how much he meant every word he was saying.

"I don’t find his presence around you or me... threatening to our bond or relationship. On the other hand, he actually brings a sort of peace and completeness to us. Maybe it’s not easy to explain in words but I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about."

She nodded her head in agreement, knowing fully well what he was trying to say. She had felt that peace, that completeness around Shadow that Kaiden just mentioned. Those feelings that she only felt around him and it seemed like it was a similar case for Kaiden too.

Kaiden took a deep breath before he spoke again, "I want him back too, angel. And I’m really hoping that you will be able to bring him back."

Emily didn’t wait any further as she just buried herself in his strong arms that immediately secured her in his embrace. "I’ll come to meet you both once you will find a conclusion to this mess... and I’ll be waiting for happy news." He promised while putting a great responsibility on her shoulders. She now not only needed Shadow for herself but for Kaiden too.

Emily stared at her little wardrobe with nearly hundreds of clothes filling it to the brim, not being able to decide what she should wear for lunch since they were going out to the biggest restaurant in the city.

She heard a knock on her bedroom door before Domenic stepped inside. Since she was standing at the entrance of her closet room, she was able to see her brother entering her room.

"What are you doing here?" She asked him as she returned her focus to her clothes.

"I brought this for you. Wear it for lunch." He replied as he handed her a bag with a box inside it.

Emily took out the box and then the dress inside it, finding a very beautiful two-piece dress. There was a black crop top with a purple velvet see-through shirt and a long white pencil skirt with a big slit on the left that would definitely put her long, slender and milky leg on display. Her brother wasn’t lacking when it came to fashion trends.

"It’s beautiful but you didn’t have to. I have so many dresses already." She said while looking at the mass of clothes that were filling her closet.

"Really? And you were still unable to find one to wear." Domenic commented with a shake of his head.

Emily opened her mouth to defend herself but her brother was already on his way outside. "You have two hours. Get ready and meet us in the living room downstairs."

Emily let out a sigh as she dropped onto the bed and just closed her eyes as she tried to relax for a few minutes. Just half an hour was enough for her to get perfectly ready for lunch and she had two hours in her hands, there was enough time for her to rest.

As she turned around on her side, her gaze landed on the couch placed next to the floor-to-ceiling window facing the vast backyard of the mansion.

Her heart clenched as memories of Shadow and the time he spent on that couch while he accompanied her during long nights when she was unable to sleep alone.

All the memories that he had once tried to snatch away from her - all of that were back to her and this time, she was determined to protect them, even from him.

Letting out another sigh, she set an alarm to wake up after an hour before she closed her eyes and allowed herself a little sleep.

"She’s here," Leo commented as he noticed Emily climbing down the stairs before she made her way to the couch where he was sitting dressed in matching suits like the rest of his brothers.

"Did you all get your suits designed by the same designer? Why not include me too?" She complained as soon as she noticed their matching suits.

"You wanted a suit too?" Daniel asked as he took out a couple of candies and handed them to his little Sorellina.

"Why not? I would have matched the vibes with you guys." Emily muttered as she popped a candy in her mouth.

"You are looking so pretty in that dress that Domenic has bought for you. Still, if you want the suit, we can get it arranged as there’s still some time." Mark offered as he picked a candy from her open palm and popped it in his mouth.

Emily looked at her dress and then shrugged her shoulders. "Nevermind, I like this dress. You guys can have your suits while I’ll have my dress. It looks good on me."

"It’s so rare of you to put your hair up but it’s looking good on you," Crist commented as he poked at her loose curls.

Emily turned to look at her brother with her eyebrows arched high. It was both sweet and weird to have them talk so casually about her dressing up or not dressing up.

"We are going to eat outside. These long hairs will only trouble me if I will leave them open. So, if I want to enjoy the food, I should take care of these first." She disclosed her plan to him.

"She’s really our sister." Mark sounded really proud of her as he announced to everyone.

"Come on, guys. We should get going now if we don’t want to be late as the hosts." Domenic announced as he made his way downstairs along with Simon.

"Let’s go then."

Everyone moved as soon as Daniel said those words and headed to the underground parking lot.

"Have you invited Shane?" Daniel asked as he helped her into the driver’s seat.

Emily nodded her head as she buckled the seat belt. "Yep. Both my best buddies are coming."
