The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 281: The Magical Resort (Part Three)
"This feels like heaven," Emily stated to herself as she looked around the royal apartment that was theirs for the entire weekend.
While from the outside it looked like any normal small-size hotel room, the inside was not only spacious but also luxurious. Besides, it wasn’t just a room, but an entire apartment. The owner of the resort had used his powers in the best way possible in the construction of the resort.
Kaiden had already left for the night run and Shadow was currently taking a shower while she was already done freshening up. There were a total of three bedrooms in their apartment and she got the one in the middle while the one on her right belonged to Shadow and the left one to Kaiden.
She couldn’t believe that the two of them were being so protective even at that point. It was just a bedroom but they had to put her in the middle just to keep her safe.
Dressed in her favorite blue pajamas, she finally took her time to look around the spacious apartment.
The living room was attached to an open balcony and only a wall of magic was separating the two in place of a real wall or door.
She walked out into the balcony and was immediately greeted by the fresh breeze and a beautiful night view of the mountains and the forest.
Her ears picked up the faint sound of the waterfall that was located on the peak closest to the resort. The smell of nature filled the air and greeted her as if welcoming her.
She stood there against the stone railing as she enjoyed the cool breeze. Her eyes fixed on the beautiful night sky that was filled with stars and the full moon. She soon found her eyes turning their attention towards the dense forest as if searching for someone, or something.
"It seems like you are quite enjoying this place," Shadow commented as he too appeared on the balcony after finishing his shower.
Emily smiled softly as she turned to look at the man who was, for once, not wearing his usual black suit and long coat. Instead, he was wearing a dark blue turtleneck and loose black trousers.
His hair was back to its original self, long, shiny, and cascading down his shoulders. The man looked breathtaking as usual. His amber eyes glowed softly as he looked at her.
"Let me ask you again, are you really not interested in the filming industry? Or what about modeling?" She just couldn’t help but ask the question that she had already asked several times in the past couple of years.
But it wasn’t really her fault. Shadow was just too good-looking to not be in the entertainment industry. She could already imagine him at the very top just in a couple of years if he decided to join. Unfortunately, he had never been interested and it seemed like he never would.
Still, she patiently waited for him to answer her question even when she already knew that the answer was a big no.
Instead of answering her question, Shadow just shook his head as he turned his attention toward the beautiful night view that the balcony was providing.
Emily let out a small sigh as she too gave up on the topic. Her eyes once again found themselves gazing at him as she wondered what he was thinking.
"I have ordered room service. Let’s have dinner after it arrives." He informed her as they both enjoyed the peaceful moment.
"Okay. But I have some plans for tonight. Wanna join?" Emily asked as she turned to look at him.
"What plans?" Shadow asked while arching his eyebrows in question.
Emily smiled softly as she replied, "You will find out later."
Shadow looked at her suspiciously but didn’t comment. He just decided to wait to see what plans she had in store.
Their dinner arrived soon and the two of them settled around the little dining table to enjoy the delicious meal that was served to them.
"The resort’s website says that the food here is prepared by the fairies excelling in cooking skills and from what I have learned in the Academy, fairies are one of the best chefs in the world. Now, I can finally taste the food cooked by them." Emily commented as she picked up a bowl to get herself the hot and delicious-smelling chicken soup.
She found out just how true the rumors were as soon as she took the first sip of the soup. Undoubtedly, she was tasting the best soup that she had ever come across in her life.
"Satisfied?" Shadow asked as he smiled softly while watching her reaction as she picked up other food items and hurriedly are them to check if they too tasted as good as the soup. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Just wow! I’m amazed... Like for real." Emily responded as she looked up at Shadow who just smiled warmly at her.
After that, the two of them finished the meal mostly in silence, occasionally talking about some things. It took them about half an hour to finish their meal before they finally stood up from the dining table.
"What now?" Shadow asked as he pressed the little red button located on the dining table and watched the table disappearing from the room along with all the dirty and empty dishes.
"Let me go and grab my phone and the bag. Then we will head to the hot spring. By the way, you too should grab some clothes." She told him before she disappeared into her bedroom.
When she came out a few moments later, Shadow was already there with a little side pack hanging across his shoulder that probably held his clothes.
"Let’s go," Shadow said as he offered her his arm which Emily happily accepted. Both of them left their apartment and headed in the direction of the elevator to head to the hot spring that was located on the fifth floor of the basement.
