The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 258: Kaiden Being Nervous

"Then... Am I allowed to open my eyes now?" Kaiden asked instead of replying to her request.

He could feel his wolf getting ready to finally appear in front of her. And while his soul was thrilled at the idea, his heart was filled with nervousness as he pictured the first meeting between his wolf and their mate.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself down a little bit, he waited for his mate’s reply to his question.

"Hmm... You can." Emily answered as she took a few steps back to put some distance between herself and the man. All of her previous confidence and boldness were leaving her and she could feel the realization of all that she just did hitting her hard.

Her emotions were giving her a headache. One moment she found herself feeling excited to spend a close moment with her mate, then she became nervous when he was about to see her completely naked. Then she once again surprised herself when her desire for him get the best out of her and she ended up teasing her man, and now, when she had finally realized her mistake, she was again nervous.

Taking in a deep breath, she turned her attention towards her mate who was fluttering his eyes to adjust to the bright light in the room.

As Kaiden opened his eyes, his gaze immediately landed on the woman standing in front of him, wearing a blue-colored t-shirt of his that barely reached her mid-thigh. Her long brown curls were falling around her shoulders and her emerald eyes were looking right at him with anticipation.

He found himself taking his first step closer to her and watched as she took one step back. A sly smile appeared on his lips as he realized that his brave and bold mate had suddenly turned fragile and nervous all of a sudden.

He kept moving towards her and watched her stepping back at the same time. Looking at the wall standing right behind her, he knew exactly where this game of theirs was heading.

It didn’t take long before Emily was trapped between the wall and the man who was standing with only inches of gap between their bodies while both his hands were placed against the wall on either side of her shoulders.

She was perfectly sandwiched between the wall and him. And while she was getting nervous, she had no plans of going anywhere. She was more than happy to be trapped like this even if it was making her weak in her knees and her heart to beat faster.

"What... are you doing?" She asked as she looked up into his cerulean eyes that were looking back at her with mischief in them. And that look in his eyes was exactly what’s causing her nervousness.

"Why? I thought you are eagerly looking forward to us getting closer. At least, that’s what I got from your actions. What happened now? Did you change your mind all of a sudden?" Kaiden asked as he lowered his face and moved another step closer to her which only made the girl push herself more into the wall even if it was almost impossible at this point.

"I... I’m sorry, Kaiden. It was me who asked you to continue... and then I..." Emily was embarrassed at what she had done. It was her who gave him hope even when he kept asking her if she wanted him to stop, and then when they finally reached the point, she chickened out.

Kaiden moved his hand to cup her chin between his thumb and fingers as he made her to look up at him. "It’s alright, Angel. There’s nothing wrong with feeling all these emotions especially when all this is so new to you. There’s no need to feel embarrassed or guilty. Besides, you are not the only one who was nervous."

Emily felt herself calming down at his words but his last sentence made her arch her eyebrows in question. "Are you saying that you were also being nervous?" She asked curiously even though she was having a hard time believing him. His actions or demeanor looked nowhere near the one who was being nervous.

"I’m still nervous. It’s just I know how to keep it hidden because of all the experience that I’ve gained in my life as the leader of the clan and the CEO of the Sullivan Empire." Kaiden answered as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead before moving away from her to head towards the walk-in closet.

Emily followed behind him and watched as he picked a pair of black trousers from the wardrobe and without even giving her a second to realize his intentions, he took off the towel that was wrapped around his waist.

She almost let out a squeal as she moved her hands to cover her eyes but then heard Kaiden chuckling which made her notice that he was already wearing boxers.

"You...!" She could hardly believe that the man had made a fool out of her.

Kaiden hurriedly slipped on the trousers before he moved to stand in front of her with a cheeky smile on his face. "I love you, Angel."

Emily scoffed as she stared at the shameless man. She still couldn’t believe that she fell for his trick.

Kaiden chuckled as he moved forward and wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in a tight warm hug. "Babe, let us take this slow. Okay? I want you to feel confident in our relationship. Just remember that I’m always here for you."

He placed a kiss on her forehead and felt the girl wrapping her arms around him as she snuggled her face into his chest and let out a small sigh of relief. "Thank you, Kaiden. I love you too."

Kaiden smiled as he tightened his hold around her. "Come on, let’s go and freshen up. I’ll cook for us and after dinner, I’ll fulfill your request."
