The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 246: Kaiden as a Koala

"Kaiden..."

Shadow called the man’s name softly as he tried to not grasp the attention of the servants and guards who were present in the back garden.

The worst was probably Rylan who was busy recording a video as he kept saying that it was his first time seeing his elder brother sleeping so peacefully and that too while he was wrapped around Shadow like a koala.

The man grunted softly but didn’t wake up. Instead, he shifted his head on Shadow’s shoulder to get more comfortable before drifting back to his dreams.

Shadow tapped the man on his knee to wake him up but his attempts went totally futile. Letting out a small sigh of defeat, he looked up at Rylan with hopeful eyes. "Can’t you help me?"

The boy finally stopped filming as he looked first at his brother and then at Shadow who clearly seemed uncomfortable after sitting in the same position for nearly over three hours.

"Why are you being so polite? Just shove him away. It’s as simple as that." Rylan finally decided to share the tip with the man in need.

Shadow just let out another sigh as he returned his attention to the man who was sleeping while being wrapped in his arms. Exactly how did get end up like this in the first place?

He only stayed there with Kaiden to comfort the man and help him calm down. Little did he know that something like this would happen.

"Kaiden..." He called again and felt the man stirring once again but that’s all. He still didn’t wake up.

"Oh goodness! I seriously can’t believe my eyes. You two right now are reminding me of myself with him." Rylan commented again as he gave Shadow a huge smile and though the smile looked pretty innocent, Shadow could see the evil glint in the boy’s eyes.

"Just help me this time. I promise to return your favor." He promised and waited to see if the trick worked and he didn’t receive disappointment because the boy was more than eager to help him this time.

Rylan quickly called some men who helped in shifting Kaiden into his bedroom. He was really surprised that someone like his brother was not waking up even after all the chaos happening around him.

Kaiden was someone who could wake up at the tiniest sound, but because of the high amount of calming energy that Shadow had transferred into him, he was deep in the world of his dreams.

Besides, Shadow’s warm embrace was really magical, just like Emily used to tell him. His warmth and calm energy were exactly what anyone would need whenever they felt tired, unhappy, or disappointed. There was something about him that took away all the negative things away and left one only with positive energy.

After making sure that his brother was comfortably sleeping, Rylan returned to the back garden to find Shadow. However, the man was nowhere to be seen.

He let out a small sigh before taking out his phone to look at the videos that he had recorded. He would never have thought to see such a sight so early in the morning. The entire Sullivan mansion was in chaos because everyone seemed to be talking about Master Sullivan who was deep asleep in a man’s arms in the back garden.

"I’m sure Em would love to witness this beautiful moment." He commented out loudly before sending the videos to his friend.

He really wished for Shadow and his brother to become close friends. Kaiden was always the guy who used to take care of everyone around him and it had made him lonely. If he could finally have a friend whom he could rely on from time to time, then Rylan could finally stop worrying about his brother.

Though because of Emily, Kaiden had already changed a lot in the past few years, he was still the person who felt responsible towards everyone around him, and only someone like Shadow or Domenic could make him step down a little.

"How come no one has seen him?" Emily grunted out as she took a seat at the dining table while Daniel and Crist served breakfast to everyone.

Other than Mark, who had left early because he had an urgent meeting with the directors of Star Xander Mall, all her brothers were present at the dining table. And yes, Shadow was also missing. The main reason why Emily was not in a cheerful mood so early in the morning.

"That man keeps using his teleportation powers to go from one place to another. Even if he left the house, I’m sure he didn’t use the door like a normal human. No doubt no one knows where he is." Leo commented as he took a huge bite of his sandwich before taking a sip of the pomegranate juice.

Emily couldn’t find any word to contradict her youngest brother’s theory, though it sounded more like a taunt. While a part of her brain was aware that she was probably overreacting about the situation, she couldn’t help herself.

Her instincts still kept telling her that something was going to happen to him and it was the main reason why she ended up becoming paranoid every time he’s away from her.

Just as she was deep in her thoughts, her ears registered the sound of a message alert that gifted her with a glance from Domenic, Simin, and Leo as using phones, tablets, or laptops at the dining table was prohibited in their house.

"I didn’t even touch it." She spoke in her defense while giving her brothers a hurtful glance. Why did they look at her like that just because she got a message? It wasn’t like she broke the rule by taking out her phone from her blazer’s pocket and reading the message.

"Oh! He’s here..." Leo’s words caught her attention and she turned to look in the direction of the entrance of the dining room and found Shadow entering the room.

He was finally back!
