The billionaire's only desire-Chapter 112: infidelity part 3
Chapter 112: infidelity part 3
An ear-shattering scream erupted from Dan as Dalton pressed his hand beneath his shoe. "I didn’t do anything to her! I swear!" he screamed, his cries filled with agony. "It was all Charlotte’s idea. She is the mastermind!" He pointed his index finger unwaveringly at Charlotte.
Even though Charlotte’s face was caked with guilt, she still shook her head in denial. "I don’t know this imbecile! He is lying!"
"Oh Lord! Charlotte!" Aiden raised his hands in frustration. "Guilt is written all over your face."
Charlotte, looking vexed, folded her arms across her chest. "There is no proof that I helped your girlfriend cheat on you."
Her persistent denial fuels Dalton’s anger. He asked in a deep, sharp tone, "How did you two manage to get her drugged and into that hotel room bed? When and where?" He was flabbergasted. How did they manage to pull that off right under his nose without detection from his security team? Have they become so incompetent?
Dan’s body convulsed as he confessed, "Charlotte approached me and offered me a huge sum of money to get in bed with Maya." The mention of Maya’s name from Dan’s lips made blood rush faster into Dalton’s heart, intensifying his fury. In response, Dan received a powerful uppercut from Dalton that sent him flying. His battered body thudded hard against the floor as he howled in pain.
Aiden laughed wickedly. "I warned you to stay away from her in the parking lot. This is just a preview. The worst is yet to come."
Dan wailed, "Please! I had no choice. I needed the money. I’m unemployed. Maya got me fired for sexual harassment, which I didn’t commit."
Dalton’s eyes narrowed with anger but for a different reason now. Why had Maya never told him about this asshole? Why hadn’t she mentioned the sexual harassment she was facing at her workplace?
Amid the storm raging angrily in his heart, he remained calm as he made a decision about what to do with the two of them. "Get him into the trunk first," he ordered.
"Aye," Aiden replied, saluting. ", get on your feet, twerp!"
Dan put the little strength he had left into his wobbling legs as he stumbled to his feet. "Move!" Aiden commanded coldly. Dan’s knees went weak, and he stumbled back to the floor.
Seeing that Aiden and Dalton were both distracted, Charlotte tried to make her escape. She took careful steps, her eyes aimed at the door.
"Don’t act smart," Dalton growled. "Sit down!"
Charlotte abruptly sank into the couch.
Aiden grunted as he stared down at Dan, who looked so feeble, curled up on the floor.
Scrutinizing Dan’s state, Dalton wondered what kind of torturous methods Aiden had used.
With brutal force, Aiden grabbed Dan’s arm and hoisted him up, dragging him out of the door. Dan’s groans and cries faded as they moved further away.
"Look, Dalton..."
Dalton shot Charlotte a bone-chilling stare, compelling her to clamp her lips shut.
"Time to deal with you," Aiden has returned free𝑤ebnovel.com
Charlotte’s eyes wavered.
Dalton took a sharp breath. "I have given you so many chances. You have pushed me to the edge, and I have no option but to do this." Charlotte frowned. "What do you mean?"
Dalton ignored her question. "When and how did you get Maya drugged and into that bed?" He still marveled at how Charlotte managed to carry this out without detection. He had great faith in his security team. He has come to the conclusion that someone close to them must have assisted her. Who could that be?
"Who helped you?"
Charlotte huffed. "I don’t kiss and tell."
"Ah, so you are admitting that you did this," Aiden chimed in.
Charlotte glared at him. "I’m admitting to nothing. Your girlfriend cheated on you, Dalton. She was dating that guy until you came into the picture, and then she dumped him for you. You can ask her colleagues at the restaurant; they will tell you the same thing."
"Oh, shut up!" Aiden yelled at her. "You’re lucky you’re a woman; otherwise, I would torture you to death."
Fear flashed in her eyes, but she quickly replaced it with an air of arrogance. "You’re bluffing."
"Oh, really?" Aiden gritted his teeth, stepping forward, his icy blue eyes gleaming with murderous intent. "All Dalton has to do is give me the green light, and I’ll shred you into pieces and send your body parts to the foster home where Dalton’s uncle picked you up from."
Charlotte chuckled. "You should rather do that to Maya, who is a cheating, lying girlfriend, and send her remains to her father, Vico, in Italy."
The more Charlotte spat her spiteful words, the less guilt Dalton felt about what he would do to her.
"Aiden," Dalton said, nodding at him.
"Fine." Aiden turned toward the door. A sportbag was resting at the foot of the door. He picked it up. "Where is your bathroom?" he asked, a devious smirk lighting up his face.
Charlotte rolled her eyes. "On your left." She glanced at the sports bag. "What’s the bag for?"
It was Aiden’s turn to roll his eyes. "I got that twerp you hired’s blood all over my shirt, so I have to change," he lied smoothly.
"Whatever," she yawned.
Aiden gave her another eye roll and pranced in the direction of the bathroom.
With Aiden gone, an eerie silence settled between Dalton and Charlotte. He preferred it that way. If she uttered her irritating words again, he might just give Aiden the go-ahead to deal with her.
However, Charlotte didn’t get the memo; she decided to speak. "Do you know that you didn’t completely destroy Vico’s mafia empire?"
"I know," Dalton replied nonchalantly.
There is half of Vico’s Mafia empire left, divided between Italy and South America. The U.S. was his largest territory, but he lost it thanks to Aiden and him. That’s quite satisfying.
"Then you know he still has the power to take Maya away from you?"
Dalton’s heart pricked with anxiety.
"He has even chosen a man for Maya to marry back home in Italy," Charlotte reveals
The painful fear in Dalton’s chest intensified. "What?"
"All done," Aiden said, interrupting the conversation as he embraced them. He was wearing a new T-shirt. "I called the informant. They will soon be here," he said to Dalton.
"Who did you call? Who is coming to my house?" Charlotte’s narrowed eyes darted between them.
Dalton began to speak calmly, though his voice was filled with anger. "You keep hurting Maya, and I’ve let it slide because you’re a woman and my cousin. I’m so fed up with your nonsense."
"Dalton, I... I love you, and I will continue to fight that cook for your love. I will never give up until you are mine!" Charlotte sounded unhinged.
"Well then, you leave me with no choice. You are a free spirit, Charlotte; you never stay in one place for long because you love to travel the world and explore, experiencing different cultures. You cherish freedom a lot. I’m going to take that freedom away from you."
Charlotte’s face went pale; she looked petrified.
"You are going to spend some time in jail for hurting, Maya."
"You attacked his relationship, and it cost you your freedom." Aiden shot her an evil grin.
A realization hit Charlotte "The sports bag contains drugs! You two set me up!" Her face was frozen in a mix of horror and betrayal as large tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Have fun in jail." Aiden grabbed Charlotte’s wrist.
"Let me go! Maniac!" She put up a fight, but Aiden roughly succeeded in handcuffing her wrist to the doorknob, preventing her from escaping. He left the handcuff keys where the cops could find them but further away from Charlotte’s reach.
"The cops will be here soon."
"NO No No, You can’t do this to me! I’m your cousin! Please Dalton, Aiden"
Dalton and Aiden turned their backs on Charlotte, washing the hands of their cousin as they walked out the door.
The chauffeur had come to retrieve the car that Dalton drove here, leaving him no choice but to ride with Aiden, who was a reckless driver. Aiden’s car was parked far from the house, but close enough for them to see four police officers storm into Charlotte’s house to make the arrest.
Dalton could picture the scene inside: The police thrusting a warrant into Charlotte’s shocked face, then going ahead and searching her home for illegal drugs. This search was promoted by an anonymous tip detailing her involvement with Vico, the mafia king, along with evidence suggesting that she was his accomplice in drug trafficking.
And the anonymous tipster was no other than Dalton Black.
"How long is she going to rot in Prison?" Aiden asked from the driver’s seat.
"Five years for a first offense."
Aiden groaned. "That’s too short. She’ll come back for revenge."
Dalton’s green eyes darkened, becoming cold. "Then I will permit you to kill her."
