Chapter 84: Chapter 84: A Guest Arrives

The three of them were momentarily stunned by the unexpected scene.

Julian Kingston, known for his straightforwardness in both speech and action, was especially surprising when he threw a punch and knocked the person out without a word.

Ryder Quinn was the first to come back to his senses, clapping his little hands and saying, "Brilliant! You just knocked out the bait we worked so hard to catch!"

Damian Knight’s face immediately darkened.

Capturing this guy was not their main goal; he was just the bait to lure the bigger fish behind him.

Damian Knight quickly walked over and checked the man’s breathing under his nose.

After a moment, he breathed a sigh of relief, turned his head, and said to Isaac Ross, "He’s still alive, take him to your hospital immediately."

"Okay." Isaac Ross picked up his phone to contact the hospital to come and fetch the man.

Damian Knight turned his gaze to Julian Kingston with a warning in his eyes.

Julian Kingston, who had just wanted to vent his anger, felt guilty under Damian Knight’s sharp gaze. He scratched the short hair on the back of his head and said awkwardly, "I was just angry... He almost killed me, and almost killed you too..."

"Enough." Damian Knight said with a frown, "Don’t let there be a next time. It’s not him who wants us dead, it’s the people behind him."

"That’s right." Ryder Quinn unusually serious, "These types are just minor minions, what matters is catching their big boss. Don’t be impulsive, kid. Honestly, I liked you better when you were quietly drinking alone."

Julian Kingston glared at Ryder Quinn and was about to speak when a bodyguard knocked on the door and entered to report, "Young Master Kingston, there’s a guest who wishes to see you."

Julian Kingston glanced at Isaac Ross and asked, "Were you noticed when you brought the person back?"

Isaac Ross denied, "No way, I’m not Ryder Quinn."

Ryder Quinn immediately jumped, "Hey, hey! Ross, who are you implying?"

Isaac Ross lazily raised his eyelids, "Whoever speaks up first."

Seeing the two about to start arguing, Damian Knight exasperatedly interjected, "Enough!"

Only then did the two calm down.

Damian Knight asked the bodyguard, "Who is this guest?"

The bodyguard, still rattled by Ryder Quinn and Isaac Ross, quickly answered, "It’s a miss called Coralie Hughes, she says she wants to see Young Master Kingston and Young Master Knight."

"Coralie Hughes?" Ryder Quinn raised his eyebrows twice, "What is she here for? And she wants to see them?"

The bodyguard shook his head, "I’m not sure... but Miss Hughes seems to be in a hurry, she says it’s something important she needs to discuss with you both."

Just as Isaac Ross’s team arrived, they quickly took the unconscious man away.

Damian Knight glanced at Julian Kingston and said, "Let’s go and see."

Julian Kingston was also puzzled, wasn’t Coralie Hughes Ryder Quinn’s fiancée? What’s she doing looking for him and Damian Knight?

The four of them decided to head to the guest lounge together.

In the living room, Coralie Hughes and her friend Ivy Holloway had been waiting for quite some time. When they saw the four of them approaching, including Ryder Quinn who didn’t look pleased, Coralie Hughes’s aura seemed to diminish significantly.

Damn that butler, not telling her Ryder Quinn would be here! How could she pretend to have a good relationship with him and have Damian Knight and Julian Kingston vouch for her now?

Being at the Kingston family house, Julian Kingston was the first to greet her, "Miss Hughes, long time no see, is there something you need?"

Coralie Hughes sneakily glanced at Ryder Quinn, seeing that he hadn’t even given her a direct look. Even when his gaze occasionally swept past her, it was indifferent, making her heart ache. She forced a smile and said, "I have something I want to tell you and Young Master Knight... I just didn’t know Young Master Quinn was here too."

Ryder Quinn furrowed his brow, "What, I can’t be here? Or is it inconvenient for you with me around?"

Ryder Quinn was feeling very irritated.

During the Stanton family incident last time, he had already witnessed how malicious Coralie Hughes could be, and now she even wanted to harm his brothers behind his back?

Such shamelessness!

Coralie Hughes, seeing Ryder Quinn’s expression, only assumed he was jealous, her heart burst with joy.

Though she liked Ryder Quinn and wanted to see him all the time—but definitely not now.

But since he was here, she couldn’t play the role of Ryder Quinn’s fiancée now.

Coralie Hughes carefully considered her words before speaking, "It’s not inconvenient, just that this matter relates to Young Master Knight and Young Master Kingston..."

Damian Knight sat there expressionless, showing no inclination to speak.

Julian Kingston had to ask himself, "What exactly is the matter? Just say it."

He detested people who spoke in roundabout ways.

Coralie Hughes, seeing that these people were all difficult to talk to, decided to get straight to the point: "Here’s the thing, I was at Young Master Kingston’s mall today, and I saw Young Master Knight’s assistant with his woman, being very intimate, and causing a scene. I stepped in to stop them, but they tried to throw me out..."

Damian Knight, who had been expressionless all along, looked at Coralie Hughes in surprise, "You said Assistant Shelton’s woman?"

He always knew Assistant Shelton’s orientation was different from normal men. Hearing Coralie Hughes say he had a woman made him feel a little happy for his assistant.

At least now Assistant Shelton’s mother wouldn’t worry about not having descendants, nor would she block his car late at night begging him to advise Assistant Shelton.

However, in the next moment, Coralie Hughes nodded and said, "Yes, it’s Assistant Shelton’s woman. You should recognize her, Young Master Knight, she’s called Summer Monroe, the daughter the Stanton Family just found from the countryside."

"What?!"

"What?"

Both Damian Knight and Julian Kingston stood up at once.

Ryder Quinn, still unclear about who it was, looked at Damian Knight and Julian Kingston in confusion.

Coralie Hughes was startled by their reaction, with bewilderment in her eyes.

Why did they react so strongly?

Could it be they were angry at Assistant Shelton?

Coralie Hughes reassured herself of her guess and continued making things up: "Young Master Knight, your assistant is really arrogant. And his woman... acts as if she owns the place, looking down on everyone. I first picked out the clothes, but she just used the assistant’s position to snatch them away from me and forced me out of the store. You can’t possibly have such a person working under you!"

As soon as Coralie Hughes finished speaking, she felt several piercing gazes fixed intently on her face.

In shock, she looked up to find Damian Knight and Julian Kingston both glaring at her coldly.

With one being a former serviceman and the other a commercial magnate, both of their presences were no joke, causing Coralie Hughes’s legs to weaken.

She wanted her friend to support her, only to find that her spineless friend had already collapsed on the floor.

Coralie Hughes could only support herself with the chair behind her, trying hard not to fall.

Confused yet frightened, she gathered enough courage to ask, "Young... Young Master Knight, what’s wrong? I didn’t lie, everything I said is true... You must believe me!"

Damian Knight’s eyes narrowed dangerously, with a faint and unfathomable glimmer in his gaze.

Beside him, Julian Kingston, typically direct, said, "You said Summer Monroe snatched the clothes from you?"

Coralie Hughes nodded repeatedly, "Yes!"

Julian Kingston’s lips twitched slightly, "Then you should’ve just let her have them! In my mall, what she fancies belongs to her!"

Coralie Hughes was instantly dumbfounded: "???"
