The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 420: Following the Trail
Summer Monroe rubbed her eyes and sat up, asking, "What time is it?"
Holly Holloway anxiously said, "It’s almost time for class, you should get up quickly. I had called you before I went to wash up, and you answered, so I thought you were getting up. I didn’t expect that after I finished washing up and bought breakfast, you still weren’t up."
"I’m up now." Summer pressed her temples and quickly got out of bed to wash.
Even so, the two of them only managed to enter the classroom just as the bell rang.
The classroom was already full, and Mio Osborne was also there. When he saw her, his expression darkened, but he didn’t say anything to her, merely telling Holly with a cold face, "Next time, get up earlier; don’t come in right at the bell."
Holly’s face instantly flushed red, and she responded awkwardly before quickly sitting back in her seat.
Summer felt sorry and planned not to keep Holly waiting for her in the future.
She was different from Holly; Holly was really here to study, while she was just here to regain forgotten memories, so she didn’t want to hold Holly back.
Summer stepped back to her seat and glanced around, noticing that neither Ronan Kingston nor Finn Ford had come.
But that was to be expected.
However, Summer soon noticed that Rachel Ross, who hadn’t shown up for the late self-study session yesterday, was now sitting properly. When Summer sat down, Rachel turned her head to look at her with a surprised expression.
Although the surprise was fleeting, Summer caught it nonetheless.
She pretended not to see it, staring at the podium, though a cold glint flashed in her eyes.
She had suspected that last night’s incident was related to Rachel, though she wasn’t entirely sure. But seeing Rachel’s gaze just now, she was fully certain it was her doing.
Rachel had actually hired someone off the forum to attack them. Bravo.
On the podium.
Mio first took attendance, and when he called out Ronan Kingston’s and Finn Ford’s names, a look of disgust flickered in his eyes.
But he said nothing more, merely clearing his throat and starting, "Today we officially begin class. Moreover, since teaching all of your subjects by myself is a lot of pressure, I’ve invited a few equally excellent teachers for some subjects. You’ll meet them when they come to teach. Now, open the first page of advanced mathematics."
Summer casually opened a page and then sent a message under the desk to one of her subordinates who had hacking skills.
"Track the person according to the account on the note. Quickly."
The subordinate quickly replied, "Understood." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
At that moment, Mio spoke again, "Oh, there’s one more thing. My class progress will be twice as fast as a normal class, so our monthly test will also be earlier. We’ll start our first monthly test in two weeks."
As he said this, he glanced in Summer’s direction, only to see her seemingly not hearing him, using two notebooks as a pillow on the desk and falling asleep right against the textbook.
Mio bit his teeth in frustration.
Even if Summer wasn’t some kind of study prodigy, even if she was a true genius, falling asleep in class like this, it’d be a miracle if she got into the top twenty in the monthly test!
Mio decided not to bother with Summer’s sleeping. After all, she’d be leaving in two weeks; he didn’t need to spend extra effort on such people, wasting his time.
The students below sighed at Mio’s words.
Isn’t this intensity too much?
But no one dared to protest.
Mio’s temper was something they’d all experienced; nobody wanted to provoke him.
Rachel, sitting in her seat, hadn’t heard Mio’s words at all, as her mind was elsewhere.
