The Assassin's Enemy Lover-Chapter 538 - 538 "Yua shut the f*ck up!"
538 “Yua shut the f*ck up!”
“If you know what’s good for you then you should keep your mouth shut,” he said through gritted teeth and Ikeda Yua suddenly had a moment of realisation.
Her dad who could fix anything no matter how bad it was was gone. He couldn’t save himself let alone save her. She pursed her lips tightly and lowered her head. The tears that hadn’t flowed out in a very long time came out and she began to cry silently.
She had never been wronged all her life. Apart from Yi Chen rejecting her, she had never suffered any grievances. She ate whatever she liked, wore whatever she liked and received people’s praises from time to time on StarNet. She had never suffered any hardships under her father’s care.
Now she was in handcuffs and being taken to who knows where her future uncertain. When the elevator doors opened with a soft ding, she jolted in fright like she was about to get executed.
“Miss step out,” said the soldier escorting them but Ikeda Yua remained glued on the spot. When she raised her head she could barely see through the haze of her tears. Her red nose and ears were in great contrast with her pale skin enhancing her traits of a delicate beauty that had been bullied.
Normally if she showed this look in dramas she would stir up the hearts of men and women alike rousing their need to protect. If these men didn’t know what she was accused of they would have felt pity for her. Ikeda Yua shook her head frantically with her tears streaming down even more.
The men who knew Yi Zhen’s temper very well walked back into the elevator and dragged her out. “No no no. No please wuwuwuwu,” she cried while resisting but what could a slim girl with little to no mental power do? She was dragged out and led to the trial hall.
“What is the use of crying? You are only making it more difficult for yourself,” said the prime minister in a last-ditch effort to educate his daughter fre𝙚𝓌𝒆𝚋noѵel.c𝚘m
When they entered the trial hall, they found emperor Jun and empress Xingxi sitting on the highest seats in the room.
.....
Zi Xingxi was looking at the reflective floating screen produced by her light brain her expression uncertain. “I don’t think crowns are for me. My hair is just too flat for it,” she said while Yeoh Jun fixed it for her.
“It looks good. Don’t act like you never tried this crown before,” he said as he stopped fiddling with it.
“I knew it. You were peeking,” she said while pinching his waist, “You said you didn’t see anything.”
“I even took evidence and wanted to show my father,” he said with a light chuckle.
“You must be kidding me? Why would you snitch on me?” she asked feeling betrayed.
“It was because you would have to take responsibility and marry me. You wore it so when I became the emperor you would have no choice but to be the empress,” he said with confidence like his plan would have worked flawlessly.
Zi Xingxi rolled her eyes only to notice that there were people here and they had been watching their interaction for so long.
“How long have they been here?” whispered Zi Xingxi suddenly feeling like her vigilance had drastically reduced ever since this man came back. She was less on guard probably because she knew she wasn’t alone and that he was there for her.
Yeoh Jun draped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close while saying, “I don’t know but let’s pretend like they just got here.”
Zi Xingxi, “...”
She thought that was bad enough that is until she heard what he said next. “I will be the bad cop and you will be the good cop, okay?” he said and Zi Xingxi was seriously starting to think he was high on something. His energy and lack of seriousness were much more than usual. It would be hard to think that this was the same person who was scolding the entire Onyx Federation not so long ago.
“Prime minister Ikeda, no I am sorry it’s former prime minister Ikeda... on your knees,” said Yeoh Jun hus voice was calm but it still sent shivers down the man’s spine.
“Yes your majesty,” he said ready to accept whatever sentence this man would give him. His heart had long chilled especially when he saw their interaction.
For years he had tried to get Yeoh Jun to look at him like that but the man always wore a polite smile like he was distancing himself from him. They were friends but in his heart, he knew that he was a fake friend trying to get close so they could be together.
He just wanted to have a relationship with Yeoh Jun but the man didn’t like him that way. He should have accepted that they weren’t fated a long time ago but his obsession grew stronger and stronger. By the time he realised he had an illness, it was already too late.
Just as Yeoh Jun was about to hand down the sentence he heard a girl’s voice speak up. Damn, he hadn’t even noticed the person standing next to Ikeda.
“Your ma majesty you and my father were friends friends once,” she said in between sobs, “Can’t you for the sake of your old friendship let us ago... or me at least.” Prime minister Ikeda didn’t forget to turn his head to look at her when he heard her words. He just wanted her to shut her selfish mouth but she seemed determined to bring them down to hell together.
Her sobs were so annoying that Yeoh Jun wanted to kick her out immediately. Before he could even give the order, Zi Xingxi who couldn’t stand it more than him finally opened her mouth.
“Friendship? That is the biggest joke of the century,” said Zi Xingxi feeling a little irritable.
“I I saw it. They were friends. He had both electronic and physical pictures of the two of them. There there was even a video as well in a locker room and his majesty was,” she stammered through only for her father to yell at her.
“Yua shut the fuck up!” he said not even caring that he had cursed at his daughter.
