Chapter 589: Chapter 589: Let’s get our marriage certificate on Valentine’s Day

Xu Yisen poured the pasta into the plate, and as he inadvertently looked up, he met Munni’s gentle gaze fixed on him.

He picked up a fork, held the plate, and moved to Munni’s side, placing the plate of pasta in front of her.

"Try Ru Jia’s mousse cake after finishing the pasta."

"Okay."

Munni picked up a fork, twirled a bit of pasta, blew on it gently, and then put it in her mouth.

"How is it?"

Xu Yisen took a wine glass, picked up the bottle of red wine, and poured it into his own glass.

Munni didn’t answer but twirled some pasta and brought it to his mouth, "Try it yourself."

"Usually, you praise me right away. Is something off with the taste?" Xu Yisen muttered before opening his mouth to eat the pasta she offered.

The pasta went in, and Munni stuck a small piece of asparagus and shrimp towards Xu Yisen’s mouth.

Xu Yisen chewed on all the food carefully, swallowed it, then slightly raised an eyebrow at Munni.

"I think it’s not bad."

"More than just not bad, I think it’s great."

Munni dropped her previously serious act and gave Xu Yisen a bright smile, giving him a thumbs-up with her left hand.

Realizing she was teasing him earlier, Xu Yisen affectionately reached out to pat her head.

After Munni finished the pasta, Xu Yisen took the mousse cake out of the fridge, placed it in front of her, and brought out two dessert forks.

"Munni."

"Yeah?"

"Shall we get our marriage certificate on Valentine’s Day, February 14?"

Xu Yisen’s tone carried an undetectable hint of cautiousness, and a touch of anticipation gathered in his black eyes as he looked at Munni.

Munni’s hand paused slightly as she was about to put a piece of cake in her mouth, and she instinctively tilted her head to look at Xu Yisen.

In the light, his beautiful eyes glistened, exuding a peculiar charm.

Feeling Munni’s gaze, Xu Yisen unconsciously curled his thin lips into a slight, serene smile.

Munni, facing such sincerity, found herself at a loss for words of refusal. She diverted her gaze, tasted the cake, and nodded contentedly.

Xu Yisen was momentarily at a loss; was her nod an agreement, or was it just because she found the mousse cake delicious and nodded to show her fondness?

Out of the corner of her eye, Munni noticed Xu Yisen staring at her with his clear eyes, looking as if he had something to say but hesitating, which amused her.

She speared a small piece of cake and offered it to Xu Yisen, "Come on, open your mouth and try it, it’s really good."

Upon hearing her instructions, Xu Yisen obediently opened his mouth, still watching Munni intently, as if waiting for her answer.

"Is it good?"

"Yes, it’s good."

"Good, it should be. Have another bite."

Munni speared another small piece of cake and brought it to Xu Yisen’s mouth.

Xu Yisen wasn’t fond of sweets, but because Munni offered it to his lips, he had no choice but to open his mouth and eat the cake.

After swallowing, Munni speared a small piece of strawberry and offered it to his mouth.

Xu Yisen opened his mouth again to eat the strawberry she offered, feeling inexplicably nervous at Munni’s lack of response.

While chewing the strawberry, he suddenly heard Munni’s voice, gentle as a spring breeze in March, "Alright, we’ll get the marriage certificate on Valentine’s Day."

"What?"

Xu Yisen was stunned, staring incredulously at Munni, who was happily enjoying her cake. He seemed uncertain whether he had heard her correctly or if he was imagining things.
