Chapter 1151: Isn't Living Better

Night had fallen, and darkness blanketed the endless sea until one could hardly see a hand before their face.

Aside from a few sailors left to control the Sea-Calming Dragon Vessel, nearly every member of the Feng Family took to the skies. Skimming low over the ocean under cover of night, they advanced toward Tianluo Island.

Because Ling Feng had seized the Tianluo Ancestor's memories, he knew every detail of the island's defenses and sentry placements.

Before any Tianluo Island guards could detect their approach, he used the Terrifying Gaze to disable them all.

Half an hour later, they finally landed on Tianluo Island.

The island itself was not large, but it was hidden with exceptional care. Clearly, the Tianluo Ancestor had been engaged in shady dealings, or else he would never have built his lair with such secrecy.

With his cultivation level, even if he was not among the Outer Sea Ten Sects, he would still have ranked as one of the major figures of the Tianlan Sea Region.

"Senior Feng, follow me!"

Guided by the Tianluo Ancestor's memories, Ling Feng led the Feng Family directly to where Feng Yan was being held.

"Who's there?"

The Tianluo Island disciple guarding the prison stiffened as he saw a dozen strangers approaching.

The entire island was surrounded by hidden sentries, and outsiders were strictly forbidden to come near. How had this many people slipped in unnoticed?

Had all the lookouts abandoned their posts?

"Who's there? The ones after your life!"

The Feng Family Patriarch glared at him, drew his sword, and cleaved the man in two.

Tianluo Ancestor had brought ruin upon their family, and now that vengeance was at hand, mercy was out of the question.

"Ahhh!"

A scream tore through the air, echoing over the sea.

In an instant, every Tianluo Island disciple nearby came rushing toward the commotion, followed by the elders who had been startled awake.

They knew how important Feng Yan was. The island lord had repeatedly warned them before leaving.

Even if every person on Tianluo Island died, they must not allow Feng Yan to be rescued.

That alone showed how valuable he was.

If Feng Yan escaped, none of them would survive their lord's return.

"Perfect timing. It's time to settle our debts!"

The Feng Family Patriarch and several Human Emperor elders glared coldly, killing intent burning in their eyes.

Their clan had once stood on the brink of annihilation. Today, they would slaughter every last disciple of Tianluo Island.

The battle erupted at once.

With several Human Emperors among the Feng Family, Ling Feng had no need to act. He led Feng Chan, Fatty Huang, Lan Yingying, and Tuoba Yan straight into the prison to rescue Feng Yan.

The cell was surprisingly decent, showing that Tianluo Island's master had not truly mistreated Feng Yan. After all, he needed to awaken Feng Yan's Blood of the Great Wilderness to "offer" it to the Heaven-Patrolling Angel.

"Brother!"

Feng Chan called out, her voice echoing through the room, but there was no response.

Ling Feng gently squeezed Feng Chan's shoulder and shook his head, signaling her to stay quiet and follow him.

She bit her lip and nodded, forcing herself to calm down.

The room was empty. Ling Feng pretended to search around for a while before exclaiming, "So there's a hidden mechanism here!"

A muffled click followed. The wall shifted, revealing a narrow stairway leading underground.

"Well hidden indeed."

He stepped forward first, descending the stairs, with Feng Chan right behind him, followed by Fatty Huang, Lan Yingying, and Tuoba Yan.

They followed the stairway through a cramped passage until a stone chamber appeared ahead. Sitting by its entrance was a grizzled old man, leisurely puffing on a smoking pipe.

"Well, well," the old man said with a laugh, blowing out several smoke rings. "Someone actually found this place. How amusing!"

Ling Feng took a step forward, his tone calm. "Old man, your Tianluo Ancestor is already dead. If you know what's good for you, move aside, and I'll let you live."

"Hahaha..."

The old man burst out laughing. "So this is how youngsters act nowadays?"

Stretching lazily, he released a surge of power so immense it swept through the chamber in an instant.

He was a Human Emperor!

Under the pressure of that aura, Feng Chan and the others stumbled back several steps, nearly knocked to the ground.

Only Ling Feng remained unmoved. He activated his sword force, severing the old man's aura and shielding the others until their breathing steadied again.

"Oh? Sword force?" The old man's eyes flickered with surprise, then he sneered. "So you're barely worth stretching my limbs for."

Setting the pipe on the table, he muttered, "Watching that brat day after day without being allowed to hit or scold him was getting tiresome anyway!"

Ling Feng snorted. "Heh, old man, I'll give you one last chance. Get lost while you still can, or else... Hehe..."

The old man's lips twitched. He thought he must have misheard. He had revealed the aura of a Human Emperor, yet this mere Spiritual Element Realm boy dared to threaten him?

Madness!

Utter madness!

Even stranger, the boy's companions stood there with perfectly calm expressions, as if certain the old man would die if he stayed.

These juniors had no sense of how vast the heavens truly were!

"You little brat, looks like you won't cry until you see your coffin!"

The old man stomped down. The ground split apart, a deep fissure racing toward Ling Feng.

Ling Feng sighed. "I gave you two chances, and you still didn't listen. It's not that I don't respect the old, but some old fools just don't know their place!"

He shook his head, his voice laced with pity. "Despicable Donkey, your turn to perform!"

A flash of purple light burst forth, and the Despicable Donkey shot out from the Five Elements Heavenly Palace, stomping heavily on the ground.

The spreading fissure stopped, then rebounded even faster toward the old man.

"What!"

The old man's eyes widened. "A demon... demon emperor!"

"Told you not to act tough. Isn't living better?"

Ling Feng pointed toward him. "Despicable Donkey, kill him!"
