The Art of Chaotic Divinity-Chapter 1122: A Weakling Dares to Boast
“Damn it. Yan’er must have run into trouble!”
Ling Feng frowned. At that moment, Tiejian Sect was scouring every corner in search of the Feng family’s second young lady. Tuoba Yan had little experience dealing with strangers, and if she met with hostility, she would likely strike first.
Ling Feng cursed his own carelessness. How could he have allowed Tuoba Yan to gather information alone?
Before long, not far from the inn, he saw seven or eight disciples of Tiejian Sect surrounding her. Several others already lay on the ground nearby, coughing blood and barely conscious.
As he had expected...
Ling Feng slapped his forehead. Tuoba Yan truly had gotten into a fight with the disciples of Tiejian Sect.
“Hehe, you little enchantress. You must be hiding the Feng family’s second young lady. Not only that, you even dared to attack us. You think nothing of Tiejian Sect at all!”
The disciples grew more brazen as the crowd swelled.
In Weiling City, Tiejian Sect held supreme authority!
“This girl is finished! How dare she provoke Tiejian Sect!”
“If she were plain, they might let her go. But with looks like hers, it will end badly. Beauty always brings disaster!”
“Look at that figure, that slender waist. She is a budding beauty. To think she dared provoke Tiejian Sect!”
Tuoba Yan’s fingers moved in rapid seals, the Tiance Mirror flickering faintly in her grasp. From the moment she asked about the Feng family, these disciples had harassed her with vile words. She had endured only so much before she struck back.
If not for that, she would never have acted so rashly.
“Tiejian Sect. What are you supposed to be?”
A cold voice cut through the jeers. A man in a cloak leapt into the circle, landing in front of Tuoba Yan. In his hand gleamed a longsword, its aura sharp and domineering.
“Ling...”
Her face lit up. She opened her lips to call out his name, but quickly caught herself. The situation was dangerous. She bit the word back, stepped behind him, and whispered, “It wasn’t me who started this!”
“I know!”
Ling Feng gave a faint smile. He lifted the Eradicator of Realms onto his shoulder and said coldly, “All of you, leave. If not, I will start killing!”
The disciples roared with rage. “How dare you speak so arrogantly here! You are dead. No one in Weiling City can save you!”
Ling Feng shrugged. He drew his sword across the ground, leaving a single line. His voice was like ice. “Step across this line, and you die!”
“Bastard!”
His insolence drove them mad. One disciple sneered, sword flashing in his hand. “Ignorant brat. In the name of Tiejian Sect’s Enforcement Hall, I will execute you here and now!”
“Die!”
The disciple lunged. His sword pierced the air with a shrill hum, carrying a trace of power.
There was a reason Tiejian Sect held dominance in Weiling City. They did have some strength.
But to Ling Feng, this level was laughably weak.
If he wished to find Feng Yan, he needed to reach the Feng family, and the second young lady might be the key.
“I will give you one last chance. Attack me, and you will regret it.”
A cold light flashed in Ling Feng’s eyes. His words were a final warning.
“Arrogant fool! You are nothing but a nameless nobody, yet you dare bark before me. I will kill you!”
The disciple burst out laughing, his fury boiling over. Sword qi exploded from his blade and surged toward Ling Feng.
Want me dead?
You've got no one to blame but yourself!
Murderous intent flashed in Ling Feng’s gaze. His sword moved with no wasted motion. In the blink of an eye, the disciple gave a strangled cry and fell lifeless to the ground. Blood sprayed from his severed throat.
Thud!
The corpse hit the ground with a heavy sound. Both the disciples and the onlookers froze in shock.
One strike. Insta-kill!
And the victim had been a disciple of the Enforcement Hall at the Spiritual Element Realm!
“Weaklings, and yet you dare to boast.”
Ling Feng flicked the blood from his blade. His eyes swept across the rest as he asked coldly, “Do any of you wish to try?”
“Gulp...”
The disciples trembled like frightened quails. Not one dared to step forward. After a brief exchange of glances, they scattered in panic.
The crowd dispersed at once, unwilling to provoke this ruthless young man.
“Let’s go.”
Ling Feng sheathed the Eradicator of Realms and pulled Tuoba Yan with him. Together they raced toward the West District.
“Where are we going?” Tuoba Yan muttered. “Aren’t we returning to the inn?”
“No. Tiejian Sect controls this entire area. Staying at an inn would make us too easy to spot. Besides, I know a better place.” Ling Feng’s smile was calm.
“A better place?” Tuoba Yan asked, puzzled. She had no idea what he meant.
“Black Dragon Pool!”
Ling Feng’s brows lifted. “Whatever Tiejian Sect is planning, we will ruin it.”
They had sent out so many disciples and still failed to find the second young lady of the Feng family. Ling Feng had never seen her either, and could not possibly locate her before Tiejian Sect did. In that case, it was better to disrupt their plans and force her to seek him out.
The enemy of my enemy is my ally. If she was clever enough, she would understand his intent.
What had truly happened within the Feng family? Why had Feng Yan, the young master, gone missing? Ling Feng felt certain that once he found the second young lady, he would finally learn the truth.
The two of them moved at full speed. About half an hour later, they passed through the west gate of Weiling City and reached a desolate place.
According to the map Ling Feng had purchased, this was where Black Dragon Pool lay.
The young sect leader of Tiejian Sect had already poured vast manpower and resources into sealing this place. Clearly, a great treasure was about to emerge.
Originally, Ling Feng had little interest in whatever lay within Black Dragon Pool. But if it allowed him to fight Tiejian Sect, and if he could seize a treasure while he was at it, then the matter was entirely different.
Only a fool would ignore such an opportunity!
“Who goes there!”
Ling Feng made no effort to hide his aura. The moment he arrived, the disciples guarding the pool noticed him.
A burly man glared fiercely, his voice ruthless. “This entire area for a hundred miles is sealed by Tiejian Sect. Take another step, and my sword will show you no mercy.”
“Oh? I see.”
Ling Feng nodded slowly, then chuckled. “I am so scared!”
“You know fear, so leave while you still—”
Slash!
Blood sprayed in the air. Before the man could finish, his head fell from his shoulders, and his world went dark.
“You! Quickly, come—”
The shout ended in a gurgle. Ling Feng’s brows rose, his sword flashing again, and another disciple collapsed lifeless to the ground.
To him, these Tiejian Sect disciples were pests. Killing them required no hesitation.
