The Alpha's Villainess Wife-Chapter 34: Patro Zolotov
"No..." Eve breathed out.
Malakai stared at her very thick long dark lashes. How come he’d never noticed for a while now? She didn’t wear glasses anymore, and she most definitely had medicated contacts in, because the contacts, while they were the color of her eyes, weren’t perfectly the right shade. It was rather a bit darker, compared to her eyes which were almost bright amber.
"What?" She blinked at him.
The man shook his head. "One more time," he said, gripping her waist and adjusting her stance. He dropped his chin on her shoulder, and while Eve concentrated on making the shot this time without him cupping her hands, Malakai glanced at her mating gland.
Patro’s mark was gone.
His hand came at the back of her neck and his thumb proceeded to graze the nape of her neck before shifting towards the mating gland.
Eve shivered at the touch, but she stayed still. If there was any indication that she wanted him to mark her, it was the sudden spread of her pheromones.
Malakai dropped his eyes shut for a second, lowering his head to breathe. No omega’s pheromones had ever had this sort of effect on him. His head almost felt clouded and for a second, he felt as if he was drunk—as if he’d gotten a whiff of an aphrodisiac.
The next second he opened his eyes, they were no longer golden, but entirely black, and Eve who was breathing heavily, flickered her lashes, the gun slipping out of her hand to the ground.
Her fingers gripped the hand that was at her waist and she breathed out at the tingles against her mating gland.
Malakai licked against his elongated canines and grazed against the skin of her mating gland. He was just about to bite in, but—
"Mr. Basti—oh!" Yuri spun around immediately to have his back facing them.
Malakai paused and shut his eyes for a few seconds before he took a deep breath and opened them. They were back to their golden shade, and he looked at Yuri, who cleared his throat.
"I uh...I’ll come back later, sir."
He bowed and proceeded to sprint off, but was however grabbed by the back of his neck by Malakai who’d arrived behind him in the blink of an eye.
"Take one step forward, Yuri, I dare you."
He froze like a statue. "Mr. Basti...?" He wouldn’t even dare turn his head to meet Malakai’s gaze.
"You shouldn’t be here," Malakai reminded with a snarl in his tone.
"True, but—"
"But what?" he interjected. "What do you want?"
"Sir Caius, he w-wanted you to give him a call later. He said he has something important—i-information for you."
"And is that all?" he questioned.
Yuri rapidly nodded his head, his white locks bouncing. "Yes, sir."
"If—"
"Malakai." Eve, who’d approached him, grabbed his arm."You’re scaring him."
Malakai blinked at her and let go of Yuri who in turn quickly put a distance between the both of them.
He took out the handkerchief in his pocket and wiped his sweaty forehead, before bowing and taking his leave.
Eve met his eyes. "What information is he talking about?" she asked.
"I’m not sure..." Malakai shook his head. He hadn’t asked Caius to find out anything for him, so what information could he have? "Come with me." He grasped Eve’s hand.

At the top of the building, a silhouette stood at the very edge, his gaze lowered to the ground feet deep away from him.
His hands were shoved into the pocket of his pants and the very second he heard someone’s footsteps, he turned his head.
"Sir Caius."
The man, Caius combed his fingers through his black strands and blinked his green eyes leisurely.
"Did you speak to my brother?"
"Yes." Yuri nodded and approached him where he stood, the lightening from the towering buildings illuminating against his brown skin.
He was much shorter at the height of five foot nine next to Caius who was six foot six. "I’ve informed him. He should be able to meet with you tomorrow. He wants to talk in person."
"Good. He might just appreciate what I’ve found out."
Yuri glanced at the floor beneath and took a step back. He didn’t do well with such height. "Why are we here, sir?"
"Patro," Caius responded.
Yuri was confused. "Patro Zolotov? I don’t understand." He shook his head. "The Zolotov mansion isn’t around here. Why would he be here?"
"The TUD company." Caius pointed at the large company opposite the one they stood at. "Tomorrow, TUD is going to write against Eve. I’m sure she has figured it out, that is if my stupid brother isn’t hiding the fact Patro has control over the company now."
Yuri blinked. "What will madam do?"
"Nothing. Eve has something to gain. Something much more important than her reputation," he responded.
"But isn’t this affecting the reputation of the Basti family?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"Yes, my mother is very pissed and she’s going to skin Malakai alive eventually. Still, she’d like to see how this will play..."
His words trailed off at the sight of Patro Zolotov who’d walked out of the TUD company.
Yuri’s eyes widened. "He actually..."
"Mhm, I figured he would be here. I’m not as good as Eve, but I have a slight idea of the way Patro moves. He likes to be sure that things go according to his plan."
Taking his phone out, he took a shot off Patro, and the very second he did, Patro came to a stop on his feet next to his car. He snapped his gaze towards the building where Caius stood and his lips slowly curled into a sinister smile.
Yuri shook, eyes instantly blown wide in pure fright.
How the heck had he sensed they were up here? Malakai Basti was strong—the strongest werewolf he’d ever met. And if there was anyone who came close to him, it was Caius and this man—Patro Zolotov.
His heart was racing in fear.
Caius on the other hand was unphased. If he were to fight with Patro, Patro wouldn’t beat him in any way. After all, he had a supreme alpha for a brother.
Besides, he knew Patro was going to sense them before he even took that shot. He’d wanted him to sight them.
Caius held eye contact with him and even when Patro chuckled, his expression remained blank and unamused.
"Let’s go," he said to Yuri and turned, walking off with hands stuck into his pockets.
