The Alpha King's Nemesis-Chapter 54: Breaking A Barrier 2 ()
The flames engulfed the barrier, spreading at blinding speed, completely destroying every part of the barrier it touched and in the blink of an eye, the barrier of the battle fairies was completely burned to nothingness.
Once the barrier had crashed, Lady Floraina was clearly caught off guard,
She most likely had not expected the barrier of her battle fairies would be so easily destroyed, Askel admitted even he himself had not expected it.
Askel was not certain he could have ripped through the barrier at such blinding speed except he gave full control to either his wolf or his beast,
The way Zariah had scorched the barrier down to nothingness was astonishing, as though the barrier was nothing special in the first place.
The spell Lady Floraina had been weaving mid air was almost complete and the powerful waves of ancient magic pouring off of it was enough to show just how deadly the spell was.
Lady Floraina’s spell formed a spectral flower that hovered some distance away from Lady Floraina in the middle of the Royal Lycan Arena,
It was said that the Floral Domain had seven ancient mythical flowers, each forming their seven most powerful magic art.
Each of these seven flowers had their own purpose and an entirely different effect.
According to what Askel had read of in Ancient texts, the three pointed flower was known to the Floral Domain as the Death Haze and was one of the deadliest magic spells of the Floral Domain.
It was said whoever fell in the range of effect of the Death Haze once it was fully cast would die a brutal and excruciatingly painful death, bleeding from all seven orifices...it was an extremely deadly spell.
The flower Lady Floraina presently formed with her magic was precisely the three pointed flower of the Death Haze and this was why the Ethereal Alphas and the representatives had been so panicked,
Whatever the intention of the caster was, the Death Haze would certainly claim a whole lot more than just Prince Treyton’s life before it was pacified,
Although each person present within the Royal Lycan Arena was powerful in their own right,
They had still never witnessed the manifestation of the Death Haze and so they could not be certain of their ability to withstand it.
Beyond this, Prince Treyton was heir of the Sea Kingdom, his power was not one that could be taken lightly, he was counted amongst the elite fighters of the supernatural realm,
Even Askel himself regarded Prince Treyton warily as the merman had truly won his title as Lord of the Killer Sharks,
Which literally meant he had battled the Killer Sharks single handedly and his dominance had compelled the volatile Killer Sharks into submission and absolute loyalty to him.
For someone as powerful as Prince Treyton, Lady Floraina was still assured her Death Haze would be able to take his life, if so, then just who within the Royal Lycan Arena was safe?
The answer was easy, no one.
Now, the last petal of the Death Haze was almost completely formed right before the barrier crashed,
Askel watched as his mate walked calmly up to the Death Haze flower and with a casual wave of her hand, the spell was disintegrated.
"How...how is that possible?!" Lady Floraina exclaimed in disbelief as she collapsed to the ground in exhaustion, watching as the spell she had worked so hard to cast flitted away in whisps of magic.
"All magic of the Earth bends to the First Blood Lycans... this should have been thought in your elementary learning." One of the Crimson Wolves spoke up from where they stood, calmly watching their head warrior. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Lady Floraina stretched a hand to Zariah, clearly intending to cast a spell of some sort,
Askel growled low in his throat, storming up to pull his mate behind the protection of his body.
"You hurt her and the entire Floral Domain will pay dearly for it." Askel said in a deadly promise.
Lady Floraina’s hand dropped to her side, her eyes still flashing with rage.
"It’s fine, she has exhausted her magic to cast the ancient spell, it will take some time to recover, she will be unable to do any harm even if she wanted to." Zariah assured, stepping out from behind the cover of Askel’s body.
Askel growled lowly but did not restrain his mate, instead he trailed behind his her as she walked up to the raging Lady Floraina.
"Is the Crimson Moon always so meddlesome?!" Lady Floraina seethed, recoiling away when Zariah leaned down to her.
"That is unfortunately so." Zariah replied with a casual shrug as she stretched two fingers and a glowing wisp of spiritual energy shot out of her fingers right into Lady Floraina’s forehead.
"What was that?! What did you do to me?!" Lady Floraina shrieked.
"Nothing harmful, My element trace will seal your magic within you, so you are unable to use it to stir up another ruckus till this situation is properly investigated by the Supernatural council." Zariah explained as she rose to her feet.
"I am a noble blood of the Floral Domain! How dare you tamper with my magic?!" Lady Floraina seethed, struggling unsuccessfully to rise to her feet.
Askel could see the spell had truly consumed all her energy as the usually blush faced fairy looked sickly pale and even more fragile than usual.
Askel scoffed at Lady Floraina’s words, flaunting her insignificant status in his territory as though anyone actually cared.
Once again, Askel lamented ever agreeing to host representatives from the other species on his lands, he had already anticipated they would not leave before they had caused a ruckus of some sort.
However Askel had still not expected something as absurd as declaring war in the blink of an eye, it was simply too ridiculous.
"Me? Well...there is nothing I do not dare do." Zariah replied with a shrug, much to Askel’s satisfaction.
Certainly his mate had the right to pull down the sun if it pleased her, the Ethereal domain was his territory and all that was his was hers also.
"I would reckon the merfolk also restrain yourself, this situation places you at the disadvantage." Zariah said in a tone with a stern warning underlying it.
"The Sea Kingdom will never abduct a fairy! Of what use is she to us?! The Fairy Queen is throwing around false accusations to malign us!" Princess Shariah raged, still struggling against the hold of Askel’s Alpha command.
"That will be determined by the supernatural council upon their return, I will leave the rest to you." Zariah said, turning her gaze to Askel.
Askel panicked at the words of his mate, knowing she would take her leave, his mind reeled for the best method through which he could get her to stay.
"The Head of the supernatural council will be here soon, the Crimson Moon should be present for the report, a war at this moment poses a danger to the entire supernatural realm."
"The Crimson Moon is presently the only neutral party that will take no sides whatsoever, I hope you will preside over this with me." Askel said,
Askel was being honest, although he had always been prudent and fair in his methods, between the Fairies and the merfolk, who did not know which specie always stirred up trouble?
The Fairies were never honest in their dealings, Askel sometimes felt they did not even know the meaning of the word, their methods were always sly and cunning.
Whereas the merfolk were the complete opposite, Askel did not deny there could be variables in between, but even then, it would be difficult for anyone to believe the Fairies were suffering an injustice that pushed them to declare war.
Even the supernatural council was made up from representatives from the various species and each specie would eventually pick a side if it came to battle,
Askel would not choose, but he certainly would never support the fairies, this was precisely why the Crimson Moon was the only power in the position to pacify this situation.
"The Head of the Supernatural council will come in person?" Zariah asked,
Askel was drawn out of his thoughts by his mate’s question and his brows furrowed in confusion at the strangeness of her tone.
"Yes Mhíjani, this situation is of utmost importance, only the Head of the supernatural council can properly see to it." Askel said.
Askel watched his mate ponder over his words for a short moment, numerous emotions Askel could not understand flashing through her beautiful Crimson orbs.
"Stay Mhíjani...will you?" Askel asked hopefully,
The fact that there was a decent sized audience around them along with a seething fairy and raging mer princess had long flitted away from Askel’s mind,
All that Askel cared for at this moment was his precious mate and the fact that she was right before his eyes at this very moment.
"Alright, I will." Zariah finally agreed with a small nod, Askel smiled, his heart finally resting easy as he returned his attention to the situation at hand.
"Luther... have Princess Shariah and Lady Floraina attended by the pack doctor, Prince Treyton and the other representatives are to reconvene at the throne room immediately." Askel ordered.
